I visited here in two separate occasions, one with my sister-in-law and the daughter (age 13) this visit was primarily to do the pottery painting? I can thoroughly recommend this, brilliant activity if you’re into arts and craft. The second occasion was with my husband and my dog to visit the garden centre. This we find it to be a well equipped garden centre which is not overpriced. Some lovely ideas for gifts, outdoor clothing, garden furniture, plants and a pet shop. The Garden centre is dog friendly with a few areas around which does not allow dogs. There’s quite a lot to do at this location , especially if you have a YoungFamily, butterfly, soft play, petting zoo, pottery painting etcetera. There are two cafés at this location, one of them being dog friendly with a segregated area for dogs and the owners. The café is okay, not great. We ordered a sandwich, cheese scone and a pot of tea. The sandwich took 45 minutes to make, It was a nice sandwich although 45 minutes to wait for a sandwich was a bit of a joke. In summary: dog friendly garden centre, children activities, location easy to get to, free parking and a cafe. We will revisit.

I took my 3 granddaughters here aged 3, 4 and 6 years . They had a problem with the kitchen that day so could only order a limited selection of food. The children's food was good and came out quickly I opted for the jacket potato it was ok.

As this is the only Wyevale left in Swindon I drove 6 miles for one of their Wimbledon Afternoon Tea for two specials which they advertise as being served from 2pm. I appreciate it was a Sunday afternoon and the garden centre closes at 4:30pm but at 3:40pm I was told that the kitchen was starting to close down and they were unable to make this up for me! I asked the lady on the till what time the afternoon tea was available to as only starts at 2pm and her reply was “I don’t know I only work here!”. I am very disappointed in my experience today and will not be rushing back! I’ll go to Dobbies next time which is closer to where I live!

Visiting the Garden Centre, we popped into the café for a hot chocolate and cakes for the kids. Quick service, reasonably priced with very nice hot choc. Free water for the kids. Lots of seating and tables - though not cleaned down that often. An OK pit stop.

Our first visit, meeting friends for lunch. Sign said no hot lunches being served so we opted for soup for one of us and a sandwich for the other. I asked if the soup came with a roll, was informed that it didn't so I asked for one. No rolls but they could provide bread and butter. OK, I ordered this. When it came there was one slice of bread already buttered - that's what you do for children! The cost of this slice of buttered bread was £1.50 !! I'd like to know their justification for this.

We went for breakfast. Having not had a good experience before, it was a second chance. We will not be returning. Breakfast had obviously been precooked. My mushrooms and tomato were dried up. Bacon very well done . 2 slices of toast £1.50. Bill of £20 for 2 breakfasts and drinks. The staff were pleasant but not well trained. All in all they really need to get a grip. And not everyone appreciates being addressed as "You guys"

I visit the garden centre regularly, but this was the first time I ate at the cafe. For a Saturday I was pleasantly surprised. The large cappuccinos were tasty and good value for money. There was a fantastic selection of home made looking cakes, although we didn't have one this time round. I would definitely go there again for tea and cake. After a browse in the garden centre we returned for a late lunch. Thankfully the kitchen was still doing hot food, the panini and cheese and baked beans jacket potato was well presented with salad and coleslaw. The food was adequate if not a little pricey. The soft drinks were very expensive, but they do offer free table water which is in a jug near the cutlery/condiments.

My parents live local and have used this garden centre for years. They like the fish and chips. (Average to me). Our last visit to the cafe was disastrous. Upon arrival, no hot meals, just overpriced sandwiches (£6+ for a sandwich). It was 135pm and I noticed the afternoon tea for 2 at £14 with sandwiches, cakes and drink. Not bad value I thought. I knew it wasn't 2pm but asked and was met with. "It's not 2pm" I asked as there was no meals and sandwiches looked unappetising if they could help. "No, it's not 2pm". No budging. My mum went for some fruit bread and my dad was offered the last macaroni cheese. (Meal). With 1 cup of tea and a coffee it was over £12. Ouch. Upon sitting down we noticed that mon-thur over 65 couldn't have a meal with a free pudding and cuppa. My dad, 82 enquired. He was told he should of asked when paying and nothing could be done. We pointed out that the advert wasn't on the counter just the tables so how would we Know? Sorry nothing could be done. Interesting customer service. The till ladies have little is empathy or customer service and just chat to ach other when tables, chairs, surfaces need attention. I'm afraid until they get rid of the till lady this place offers very little in appeal. Her lack of customer service puts people off and I heard a few moaning about her curt customer service. The food was ok at best, nothing you couldn't make yourself or buy cheaper elsewhere. The reason for 2 stars was for the garden centre (plants, pots, other sections) If it was for the cafe alone, zero. Would I recommend it? NO, dreadful cafe.

Nearly half an hour wait for a bowl of soup and a toastie. Food ok. Slow service. Convenient for a trip out, but nothing special.

Friendly staff who happily obliged when we needed a new coffee. The first one was so weak it was hard to discern any coffee taste at all. Very nice sandwich but not worth the £6 paid for it. Nice place to mooch around but a bit pricey for food/drink.

We visited as a foursome with discount vouchers for afternoon tea for two at £10 per couple. The restaurant is fairly large and bright and on the day we visited, because it was half term week, it was occupied by a number of families and was in need of a bit of a clean up as the tables were a bit messy. The staff are friendly and the cream tea is good but you have to be prepared to wait for a while before it arrives. The plus side is that you can have your tea whilst you wait and you can go back at any time for a top up so that's what we did. The cream tea arrived on 2 metal stands containing 3 plates. The bottom plate held crustless sandwiches, two ham and tomato and two cheese and cucumber per stand. The middle plate held two fruit scones (a little dry if I'm honest), two pots of strawberry jam and two tubs of clotted cream per stand and the top plate held two bakewell slices, two chocolate brownies and two french macarons per stand. We left feeling very full but what an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Incidentally, if you have a voucher you can't use it until 2.30 but we arrived a little early and they honoured it.

I was extremely impressed and delighted by the staff at the restaurant when I visited with my daughter for the 'tea with the easter bunny' event. The restaurant was very busy as it was a bank holiday Monday and we had not booked for the event. However, the staff were extremely accommodating and provided a sweet, memorable experience for my daughter. The staff were extremely kind to us and I would definitely recommend a visit. We will be back. Thank you to all the staff involved.

Large restaurant with plenty of sitting area, it’s clean and warm inside, the staff are helpful, unfortunately you was limited to what you could have for lunch as they require a cook or chef. A good choice of coffee and tea

I am travelling down to visit my mum tomorrow and take her out for a birthday treat, she wants to visit a garden centre and have lunch out. Job done I thought, I would take her to a Wyevale. There's two within driving distance of where she lives, but reading these reviews has put me off. So I wont be coming. I have to admit seeing those photos of the cheese toastie and sandwich has made me think 'Seriously? They paid for that?' Time to buck your ideas up Wyevale. Social media will find you out.

Visited the garden centre then decided to have some thing to eat in Cafe inside . We ordered a egg mayo sandwich £4.50 and a cheese and onion Toastie £5.50 ,with a tea at £2.20 and a slice of Victoria sponge cake £2.85 . We did not wait long before our meal arrived ,the egg mayo sandwich was nice and full not so with the toastie .The bread was very thin not a good buy . Watching other meals coming out of the kitchen I noticed the portions were small , we have been to other Wyevales and the portion size was much better .

Very friendly, helpful staff. They remember my usual order, and are cheerful. They told me this evening that Too Good to Go bags were advertised online, and I was able to pay and collect one. Very good surprise bag with a sandwich, a wrap and 2 cakes in for £3.50.
