Food at Griddle in Tunbridge Wells

Completely incompetent and incapable of fulfilling the most basic orders through third-party sites. They ask you to select options (eg Tofu or egg for your burrito) and after you select it, they don't include it on the item. Not including 1/4 of the ingredients on a $16 burrito? Pathetic. They also charge $4+ for a handful of unseasoned wet kale. What the hell are these people even doing in the kitchen? No seasoning and consistently not including key components of the meals you order? Come on, people. Joke's on me for continuing to try this place when they mess up 90% of the orders I've placed. But I keep trying to like them and support the veg businesses in my community, but they just drop the ball on the most basic things. It really is just pitiful.

Been searching for a nice vegan brunch spot and mission accomplished. The full mess is a crazy dish and so good. Was not what I was expecting and surprised me in the best way possible. Such a good bite of food. My wife got the berries and cream waffle and it was also great. Outside of the food being great it comes out so fast. Was less than 10mins from ordered to food on the table. Very cool.

The food is great! Not as great as AND Cafe was, but still pretty darn great. I miss the hash brown nests. The service is, well hit or miss. It seems that they are settling into their new space well, but occasionally you get the server that is overwhelmed by what appears to be nothing. If you're looking for delicious vegan brunch, this is it! Bloody Marys are good too! (Pickled brussel sprouts! Yum!) Update: Settled into the flow of things. The service is great and the food is still delicious. The outdoor dining is a nice addition!

I absolutely LOVE this spot. The service is always fabulous, they actually take the time to chat, the food always comes out SUPER fast and it’s always SO tasty! Cannot say enough good about this spot!! Definitely try to the feast waffle with holly 😋

Pretty good. The Nashville Hall was kind of mushy, like a black bean burger. The taste was good though. The hot mess was very tasty.

It's a delicious, amazing brunch spot. They have good plates and service. I recommend this spot 100%. I'll suggest keeping in mind wait for 20 minutes, but there is a quick turnover. Do not sit at the table to the right of the door entrance for those who are sensitive to wind shafts. The door constantly opens and closes because they have outdoor tables. A half wall and an acrylic wall could solve this issue for a user/client.

Great place for vegan comfort foods. I come for their breakfast (especially burritos). Filling and delicious foods, and some friendly staff on board.

Omg if you are in doubt try it out!!!! Our first time there and it Michelle our server was AMAZING! Her recommendations were the best. The mushroom melt waffle and brisket hash was delicious and you have to order the spicy Bloody Mary level 9 outta 10. I even made a takeout order for dinner later when I get back to Walla Walla.

Enable, but I am not a vegetarian. And they can not cook eggs to order. Ordered over easy, waitress wrote down over medium, that is how the order came. Then, the minimum tip requested was 20%, I have never paid that much and never plan to especially with a wrong order! Sadly I don't believe that I will return.

Delicious vegan breakfast/lunch. Wonderful friendly and helpful service. Been going here for years and I’ve never been disappointed. There’s a walk-up take out window for to-go orders. As well as seating inside and outside. (Outside seating is dog friendly) The fries are so good and the dipping sauces are heavenly! I always get the Full Mess with gravy and tofu scramble (real eggs are an option as well) Gets pretty busy on weekends, but they can text you when your table’s ready so you can browse the neighborhood shops in the meantime.

This little whole in the wall restaurant is a very busy whole in the wall. I cam with a group of 8 this is on the larger party size they are able to accommodate. The servers are wonderful. The host got us a table in under 15 mins. We had food on the table within 20 mins with a lage assortment of items ordered. The menus is awesome, with a ton of gluten-free and vegan options ❤️❤️ The food was fine. But not blow your mind good. It's just a middle of the road brunch restaurant. The bloody mary's are decent. The mimosa was extremely large and a good value for the size(32oz).

They serve brunch daily with seating inside as well as picnic tables outside. Street parking. Tried the meatloaf as I was curious about walnut meat and it was really well spiced and flavorful. Their tofu scramble was actually the best I’ve ever had, they pan fried it until it had a nice crust to it, very delicious. Hollandaise sauce was super yummy. Love this diner as the prices are reasonable and the serving size plenty. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Local artists works line the walls

We love OTG! Everything we've had is tasty, and it's great that everything is vegan by default. I always make sure to get a side of the tempeh bacon, it's so good. Highly recommend the "Full Mess" too. Most of our visits, we've had the pleasure of being served by Ricardo, who is very helpful and friendly as well :)

Sad this is was the furthest from our hotel or else we would have gotten it for every meal of our trip! Lots of options and great vibes

As a Seattlite, whenever I come to Portland, OTG is a must. As always, their food and service are exceptional. Very cool laid back atmosphere and tasty GF/Vegan options.

Great comfort food breakfast here! We loved both the Nashville hot chick'n sandwich and the vegan blue plate breakfast. The ambiance on the patio out front was great, too. The server was super nice and helpful.

If you're looking for solid vegan fare, this place will not disappoint. Their mac and cheese is divine, the meatloaf sandwich makes me think of grandma's meat meatloaf. The bacon ranch wrap is delicious. For realz... I've not had anything yet that I didn't care for, except the slaw, not a huge fan of the slaw, but my kid loves it and their fries are spectacular so we're all happy at the end of the meal. And, if someone in your party isn't vegan, no worries, they offer eggs and dairy cheese if requested. Sometimes the staff feels a little cold, although the service isn't bad, per se, it's just not super warm and fuzzy. For all the vegan places I've gone, though, this seems pretty par for the course, sadly. And, to be fair, it seems a lot of restaurants have lost their desire to be warm. Which, I get... it's tough these days. BUT... they are nice, it just seems a bit forced... which kinda brings the atmosphere down a little bit. Not even remotely a deal breaker and not everyone here. I've been in a few times and one server is super sweet. It's all good, though... we'll keep coming back cuz these folks make vegan right! *chefs kiss*

I was happy to find this gem! Delicious vegan waffles (Berries and Cream for the win) and tofu scramble! The cinnamon roll was PHENOMENAL! But honestly, the best part was our server. They were kind and happy! They didn't assume pronouns which gave my heart joy and hope in this scary world! We were all well feed and welcome in this place. Thank you.

This was an incredible brunch spot. We were only in Portland for 24 hours, but you have to stop here for breakfast before leaving. The food left me speechless. Loved the atmosphere. My partner was equally impressed with her meal as well. They have lots of variety.

Food is amazing, filling and worth the price. Atmosphere is great, friendly service and food gets there pretty fast. The Full Mess entree is top notch. My husband had the berry waffles and son had a side of the tofu scramble. We ate every bite.

Best vegan/vegetarian brunch spot in town. The vegan breakfast sausage is to die for. It’s got the right amount of crispiness and fennel seeds. Hash browns are always perfectly crispy as well. The house made strawberry jam that comes with the berries and cream waffle or a side of biscuits is amazing. The biscuits and gravy is also one of my favorite dishes. Serving sizes are big too, especially the burritos. OTG doesn’t miss!

My partner and I stopped in today, for me, the first time in probably seven years? It was her first time. We arrived early and hungry! My partner ordered the berries and cream waffle and coffee with oat milk creamer. I ordered a chorizo burrito with a honey mustard side salad. Everything vegan, of course of course. Our meals arrived super quick, like less than 10 minutes. The upside of coming in promptly at 9am. 😅 Every bite was amazing. My partner very generously offered me a bite of her waffle. The texture was heavy, but perfectly balanced. Sweet and savory, perfect diner fare. My burrito was not too spicy thankfully 🙌 I'm never sure when ordering chorizo how strong my sensitivity to spice will flare up. I contemplated leaving leftovers, but didn't want to carry them into the nearly 100°F day. I muscled up the last few bites and joined the #cleanplateclub OTG doesn't officially have a clean plate club, I just like to share that when the struggle to finish is real. 🤣 We're coming back soon for my partner's birthday just so we can try more things. Like the biscuits and gravy. 🤤

My favorite vegan place with lots of gluten free options. This is worth the drive from Vancouver. I am never disappointed. Even if there used to be a wait it’s never too long. People are super nice. I call their food “surprisingly not vegan tasting.” I take out of town visitors here to eat (even ones that are anti vegan) and they love it. Highly highly recommend.

Amazing food, great options, and such amazingly friendly staff. Always love coming to eat here and make it a regular stop during trips through town. I cannot recommend it enough as a brunch place, especially if you are vegetarian or vegan! They have all the classics with none of the dietary challenges! And the prices are soooo reasonable!

Love this place. They have a fantastic vegan menu with clearly marked allergens. They do have the option to make some vegetarians, which are, again, clearly labeled. The food is always delicious, and the staff is super friendly. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which are temperature controlled. Street parking, however, is limited so you may have to park a block or 2 away. Highly recommended this place.

Service was slow but they were super busy. Arrived at 10am on Sunday and waited 25 min for a table. Food was super good though!

I've never been here physically but have ordered handfuls upon handfuls of times. My roommate and I both adore this place, and it's probably the best joint in town to get an awesome vegan breakfast.

Quite literally the best food I've ever had, vegan or not.

I sat outside so I can't comment on the atmosphere inside. I had the chikn waffle with a tofu scramble on the side. Way more food than I needed so I got to take it home for lunch! My meal was very good. The chikn was much better than I anticipated. The tofu scramble was not as good. I LOVED the waffle so much. Our server didn't check on us and I finally had to flag them down to get more coffee, which was unfortunate. I would go back to try more menu items.

Lovely welcome staff playing really good music too. Cute spot to sit inside or outside. Looks like they had a walk-up to go ordering window too. Food was delicious! Portions were great for the price. We tried the jackfruit brisket hash and the berries and cream waffle.

I ordered the mushroom and spinach, waffle and substituted hollandaise sauce for the ranch and it was pretty dang good! The service was a little slower than desired, at least to get my order and then get my bill. That’s understandable because it was very packed and I had to sit outside along with other customers who couldn’t fit inside. They had a few heaters outside though so it wasn’t too bad. After my order was taken, I got my food really fast, which was nice. Overall, a very good experience.

Friendly staff, great menu of options. Our favorite is the menus say non-vegan options available. We were married here in 2019, and the staff was super accommodating for our small nontraditional wedding. We'll definitely recommend the great food and service.

Love off the Griddle! Great service everytime! Im not vegan but my wife is great spot for brunch and non-vegans. They still have some dairy options if you're not into the vegan eggs or cheese!

Very good place for vegan breakfast. Was impressed with the selection and food quality. I enjoyed the tofu scramble. Place is small, so be prepared to wait for a table on weekend mornings. Would highly recommend.

Oh my word. You can't skip the Hashtastic (with tofu scramble). It's unbelievable and I don't normally do tofu and I expect the option with eggs would have also been great. The berry waffles were delightful. If you are lucky and their soup of the day is tomato basil, make room in your belly because that's also a must. My wife and I were looking for dairy and egg free options but were shocked at how good the food was here. Next time we are back in Portland (coming from Seattle) we will have to come back.

I had the Hashtastic. The squash was undercooked, and the whole dish was severely under seasoned. It wasn't bad. It was just completely, meh. Even something simple like salt, pepper, garlic, and fresh herbs would be a VAST improvement on the dish. Service was excellent, and the food came surprisingly quickly as the place was busy.

Lovely service!! Came in recently with the ice storm after Da Hui next door closed early. Sat down and ordered a cocktail, which was amazing, and a waffle. I originally ordered the feast waffle, which I'm sure someone out there loves! Unfortunately, the texture was too much for me, and the gravy was not my favorite. When I told the server, he was more than happy to get me an original with syrup and bananas. Truly tasty. To my server, thank you so much for being understanding and kind. I wish I had caught your name, I tried to tip you 40%. I hope you got home safe and warm.

I brought my two littles in today after our power went off and we needed to charge our devices and eat a hot meal . Our server Michelle was so incredibly kind and helped accommodate us in a warm spot . She was patient and so kind when we really needed it . The food was perfect as always and I was even offered a to go cup for my coffee . Service like this is so memorable and exactly what we need in this world 🥰 Thank you so much for always making the best vegan comfort food and the great service .

Arrived here in a party of 4, was seated immediately. Became concerned the quick seating meant the food would be lack luster, however; that concern was proven to be irrational and FALSE! The service was prompt and courteous. I never had a cup of cold coffee, refills were on point. I ordered the jack fruit brisket (regular over medium eggs) along side a half pumpkin spice waffle. I found myself happier and more contented with each bite. WHATEVER YOU DO, ORDER A WAFFLE. I appreciated the flavorful packed breakfast while also not weighing me down. The jackfruit did a great job emulating brisket in texture and flavor not in the heavy over stuffed feeling you can get with brisket meat. A friend got the chorizo burrito, speaking highly of the overall flavor as well. I do not follow a vegan diet, coming in here was a happy accident. I am already wondering when I will come here again.

So my wife is vegan and I'm not but I do take my wife to different vegan restaurants to try them out because my dr said to eat less meat and this is by far the best place to eat vegan breakfast at in Portland Oregon. I still haven't had their lunch options but it was fantastic, I highly recommend which is coming from a non vegan lol. Even my kids liked it, we will be returning for sure, great food and service and fairly priced.

"Everything is awesome!" Attaching photos. My server was dope and forgot to ask their name their feather earrings were dope! I had the chicken and waffles, the wings, and the nacho fries. I am 6'6" and weigh close to 400 lbs. The portions were dope! It wasn't gluten-free, but it was vegan heaven. I enjoyed every bit! The passion fruit juice was strong and delicious. I was able to cut it with water and still have 2 really tasty cups!

I got the Full Mess with tofu and gravy and it was delicious. We also got the Classic Mac for the table to share. I can't remember what everyone else ordered, but everyone loved their food. Our server was awesome, too!

This is a Vegan treat in the Portland area. The food is great 😋 (though the biscuits are a bit bland in our opinion). While they clearly state that everything is vegan by design, they still question whether you want eggs or tofu... if I want tofu at a non vegan joint, I have to ask them... The service is not super attentive, but that doesn't bother me. They are also a pretty tight atmosphere so if you like a bit of room to breathe this may not be the spot for you. All and all it is delicious and the large mimosas come with the Ball jar and a lid if you don't finish it while you eat which is a plus.

Great brunch spot, with tasty foods and inventive drinks. Tried the full mess, which was super tasty. The baby spinach and chopped tomato seemed to make the bowl more legit health conscious while not detracting from the hash, scramble, sausage graviness....

I absolutely love OTG!! My hubby and I come here all the time. Whenever we have people visiting in town(pre covid) we would bring everyone here! Omnivores, pescatarian, vegetarian, everyone has loved it! The brunch wrap is a must every single time. Sometimes we just order one for the table so everyone can try it! Breakfast burritos are always solid too. Their waffles are so good if you are a waffle person! The feast is delicious with all the goodies baked right in. Also, a tip- plan ahead on the weekends. It is often an hour or more wait since they are so popular so order in advance!

Everything was bland. Mac and cheese barley has any cheese in it. Breakfast was just not great. Especially for the price.

My husband and I had never been to this restaurant. We decided to give it a try and we had our 2 month old son with us. When we got there, the hostess said they didn’t have any tables available at the moment but that one table would be available soon, if we didn’t mind waiting. We told her we didn’t mind waiting for it BUT then she said we had to wait OUTSIDE with our infant! Normally that would be okay BUT mind you, it was 42 degrees outside and super windy with the wind chill being 35 degrees! NOT an ideal wait with a 2 month old newborn!!! In my opinión, it was inconsiderate to suggest we wait outside with a newborn. We ended up leaving without eating there.
