Best food and best service in Tunbridge Wells. We come here regularly for the great food and great choice. Some fabulous Portuguese options highly recommended.

A lovely little slice of authentic Portuguese food in Royal Tunbridge Wells. The prego, bifana and francesinha sandwiches are delicious. Great spot for a light lunch.

This is a great lunch spot. The prego’s were amazing and the service was superb! Nice to have such an authentic Portuguese cafe in T wells. Much better than spending money in Starbucks or Nero!

Probably the best gem you will find in Tunbridge Wells to get a bite to eat. Great food, excellent friendly service from the owner Manuel. His service is personal and friendly and he always wants you to eat well! In this day and age when it’s hard to find tasty, fresh and healthy food, this place just off the high street and you won’t be disappointed 😊 I recommend my favourite crayfish and avocado baguette with lots of black pepper. We stumbled across this cosy cafe on our way back to the car from a very awful attempt at another local place and WOW! Calm and friendly atmosphere, the BEST staff and owner! The food was brilliant, amazing quality ingredients cooked brilliantly in plain sight and they don’t hold back on portions. Two hard to impress customers will be back! I have been here a few times now and enjoyed a smoothie, a few baguettes (mostly Crayfish baguettes which were awesome) and we visited for the valentine's Portuguese tapas which was lovely. The place is perfectly clean and tidy, service is good with nothing too much hassle. Will happily be visiting again and again. Check out the attached photos of the baguette fillings, it's so organised and clean I find that so inviting!

Excellent coffee and tasty panini. Service was very friendly and efficient and they were happy to adapt a menu item for children.

Hubby was looking for a bit of Portguese heritage and found it here. He had the most amazing Cod fish.

Disappointing, I looked at Tripadvisor reviews and decided to try the breakfast!! The place was very pleasant and good service, but the breakfast menu was very poor and not much choices! I went for English breakfast and my Wife for another type of breakfast and both were extremely disappointing, comparing to Bills! I was expecting a lot more from this place as I expected it be originals with higher quality! My breakfast was extremely greasy mediocre quantity! and the coffee did not taste anything like coffee! At least they must know what’s nearest to Portuguese brand coffee or Spanish as I have never ever had poor coffee in Portugal or Spain. The lunch choices looked good as far as I saw in the fridge , I hope they improve the breakfast quality and add better choices in the menu.

Delicious Food and Exceptionally Friendly Service As usual an absolutely delicious breakfasts, my wife and I always visit this wonderful cafe when we visit Tunbridge Wells.

Went here for breakfast while in town for a wedding, it was so good we came the next day and brought some friends. We had the egg & bacon bagel, the brunch bagel, blueberry thrill smoothie and coffees. The bagels came with salad. Everything was so fresh, very generous portions and lovely, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

Probably the best breakfast in Tunbridge Wells, very friendly staff & amazing Mediterranean/Portuguese cuisine, plus on a sunny day its lovely to eat outside with no traffic on that side street, definitely will be going again.

I booked a table in the window for my Mum and me. We were looking for somewhere quiet to have a long brunch – but the food needed to be good and the coffee, even better. I fell in love with this small coffee house upon arrival. One of the warmest welcomes I've received in a long time (outside of Ramsgate!) The food was simple, delicious and influenced by the freshness and flavours of the Mediterranean. The coffee—unsurprisingly, superb. And dare I say it, one of the cleanest bathrooms in a major city! Emmanuel has produce from Portugal, including spectacular wine and pastéis de nata. I really cannot fault this family-run, charming coffee house and restaurant. I shall return undoubtedly. Obrigada!

Brilliant and quaint potuageese cafe, with friendly staff. Drinks menu has a range for anyone (vegan and gluten free), similarly reflected in their range of food options both sweet and savoury.

Such good and friendly service from the staff and I had an avocado jacket potato which was lovely. The entire cafe was very welcoming and such a nice atmosphere to be in.

Delicious food and great owner. We wanted somewhere to sit and eat quietly away from the main roads. It’s nicely tucked away so you’re able to sit outside or inside, we had our dogs with us so chose to sit outside, the sandwiches or paninis are hand made, as are the jacket potatoes. All our meals were delicious, he also has a small range of Portuguese beers available to buy which are very nice. Much better than the big chain cafes round the corner. Plenty of seating upstairs too. Very quirky place.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a tapas evening at Casa de Claudia on Valentines day. The food was delicious with generous portions, the service excellent as always and the welcoming atmosphere all made for a very pleasant evening. I would definitely recommend trying the tapas evening next time it's on.

Small cafe located in a tranquil part of the old town (just off the high street) serving a lovely and reasonably priced breakfast/lunch menu ranging from cooked breakfasts to sandwiches & wraps... They also serve cakes and pastries which include the Pastel de nataa, a Portuguese baked pastry consisting of an outer pastry crust filled with a luxurious egg custard, this is then optionally dusted with cinnamon... Overall a nice cafe with a relaxing quiet atmosphere where service was quick and efficient... Pop in!!!

What a find, don’t be fooled by this small cafe down a little lane, the panini s and bagels are the best we have had. My partner had chicken bacon spinach in a panini he loved it so much it’s another reason to return to the area. I had tuna onion avocado absolutely nom nom. Lovely owner and staff, we definitely visit again! We sat outside but seating upstairs too - Highly recommended, filled us up all afternoon

The BEST breakfast by far! REAL coffee, not this cheap stuff you normally get elsewhere, plus the tomatoes are actually cooked; now that's what I call a real breakfast! Great service by friendly owner. Loved the ambiance of the place.

I love Casa da Claudia! The food is fresh and tastes amazing. It's a bit more expensive than your usual cafe, but it's well worth it. We highly rate the "Claudia's special", which is chicken, bacon, mozzarella, spinach and mayo. This is available as a jacket potato or panini filling. TBH I'd probably just eat this filling straight from the bowl if they gave it to me. The flavours are superb and the panini bread I had was crispy and fluffy. As additional proof of tastiness, my toddler ate all of her scrambled eggs on toast (which if you have a kid, you will understand that it's hard to find something they will even entertain looking at, let alone eat!).
