Some lovely brunch plates were massively let down by high prices and rude and inattentive staff. The cinnamon buns were took home were hard lumps of flavourless dough, and we initially incurred a service charge for takeaway! Given all the welcoming and delicious coffee shops in Windsor, Ascot and around, we’ll give this a miss from now on

We had a lovely Pre Race Brunch. The meals were all excellent and the service was great too. Would totally recommend this as an anytime food stop, but especially as a pre races filler the menus great and food tasted lovely. We will be back

Fantastic selection of brunch/ lunch menu. Lots of interesting meals with a twist to choose from. Beautifully prepared and served. Lovely and helpful staff. Small carpark in front which is free. If full, larger carpark at the back.

I actually usually really love this place and even though other reviews fault the level of service I think considering how busy they are they do a great job serving customers so here I commend them. The main issue I have is in the last two years the portion size of the full Mediterranean dish has been reducing in quantity while the price has increased which is appalling. Not only has the avocado portion reduced by half, the amount of peppers, rocket and mushroom portion has also reduce by the same amount. Today I did not even get sliced toasted bread with it but it came with a small focaccia triangle portion. I used to leave feeling full, however this did not even touch the surface. I want to stress the food and quality of ingredients is top notch but the quantity really needs to improve so it is more filling.

Visited for brunch on Mon 7th Served by Alice, what a lovely smiley girl she was. Very attentive & knew what customer service meant. We ordered full English breakfast & pancakes to share between us. No problem.. bought 2 spare plates with food, more maple syrup & asked if we wanted an extra sausage as it came with only 1 ! We had preferences over our eggs & nothing was a problem when requested. Really could not fault the food either when it came, very tasty & the plates were completely clean bar 1 piece of bread when we finished. Coffee was excellent too. It was really good all round. Admit I hadn’t been there for awhile as I felt the standard had dropped in many areas. So this was a pleasant surprise. Tables were cleaner & style had been changed which was one of my concerns prior. Didn’t visit the loos this time as that was my other concern so cannot say weather it had improved hence 4 ⭐️ Thank you will revisit.

Lovely food well prepared and a good selection jus.t too busy and you almost always have to queue. I'm not a fan of their coffee though which always makes me feel nauseous. Acoustics is not good when it's busy (always).

We feel really blessed to have such a lovely cafe to walk to. The food is excellent and the menu updated on a regular basis. Most of all thanks to the wonderful team who look after us so well.

Very chatty quick service from our waitress outside in a lovely green seating area on Ascot hightsreet, served with a smile (very rare these days), very welcoming and GORGEOUS all day brunch and fantastic nibbly sides! Definitely be back again! Thanks Alice you were great!

I used to love this place, not sure what is going on but service is gone down the hill and food portions halved. Waiting time absolutely ridiculous, half hour before a waitress came to take drink order and another half hour waiting for food to come. Shame as it used to be an amazing place. Not longer

Took my friend to eat at fego today, huge queue out the door but we didn't mind waiting, we could see the girl outside was on her own and she was very bubbly and even offered me water while I waited. Nice touch as it was manic inside and out! Food was great but our service was the cherry on top, smiles throughout! Shout out to Alice? I believe her name was. Definitely be back. Be warned we were told queues are quite common, but worth the wait!

What a fantastic cafe. Always a great atmosphere with super service. The food is excellent and modern. (No jacket potatoes!!!) highly recommended.

Have been many times, but the service has definitely changed. The waiting staff were more interested in talking to each other and whispering about other members of staff. Took about 30 minutes for food to arrive, and the waitress walked past our table 3 times looking for us. The serving staff didn't want to serve to the outside tables and kept complaining how busy the outside tables were getting and they didn't want to go outside the restaurant. A bad bunch of Saturday staff that have no clue about service.

Really disappointing. This has long been a favourite of ours with a good selection of plant based (on a separate menu) and non-plant based options to dine as a couple and with friends. However today we were told they no longer offered a separate plant based menu and we should look for options on the main menu. No advice was given. None of the dishes were labelled as vegetarian or vegan. We scoured through and the only non-labelled items we could see were granola and a superfood salad. Gone was their hummus breakfast, plant burger, falafels and tofu dishes. We are really disappointed with this backwards step of one of our local favourites. Won’t be going back.

We’d been walking in Windsor Great Park and stopped for drinks and cake. It was before inside dining was allowed so they had erected a marquee outside. Ordering was difficult. There was a code to scan and then order but the waiters said don’t bother and then they didn’t bring what we wanted so we tried scanning again and eventually just had drinks and cake that were brought but not necessarily what we ordered. All a bit confusing.

Always excellent. Friendly staff, fantastic cake, coffee, milk shake and “wake up juice” with mix of apple, carrot, ginger and water melon. We look forward to coming back for lunch rather than 11s.

Normally skeptical about ordering breakfast for delivery, but wow it was great. Expensive granted, but high quality. Sausage and Cheese bap was perfect size and tasty. Partner had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs - which she couldn’t finish! Everything was still piping hot and delivery driver was very friendly. Highly recommend if wanting to treat yourself! Oh and the coffee was delicious. Brilliant!

We've ordered brunch. We have tried the same food couple of times before ( spicy scrambled eggs) But this time was a disappointment. They forgot the jalapeño, which is the first ingredient in their recipe on the website. Delivery was quick just on time. I would say it was nice despite lack of jalapeño but overpriced. Maybe we will give them another chance.

Have just returned from a rather stressful breakfast. This was our 1st visit since before lockdown and will be our last till we get.back to 'normal'. The covid 'safety' precautions that have been put in place are very contradictive. Firstly no highchairs! Thought guidelines are no children running round a restaurant. Highchairs are as easy to clean as a chair that should be cleaned after every customer so what is the difference?, its very difficult to eat with a wriggling 18month old on your lap. Ordering is an app which is great (service charge is still automatically added so be warned.) Staff not wearing masks or social distancing between them, yet the tables are spaced out with plenty of room. And lastly oIf you are disabled and happen to need the toilet, tough theres a nice sign on the door saying staff only!

Placed the food and drink order online, whilst sat at a table in the car park (yes really) out the front. The drinks eventually arrived and 40 minutes later the food arrived. When I commented to the female staff member about the wait, she very rudely said they were busy, said something about the kitchen and walked away. Not one mention about 'sorry for keeping the customer waiting'. My chicken wrap was ok, nothing special and not even a token salad on the plate. Just a wrap. My husbands hamburger was over cooked and very dry. I certainly would not recommend a visit.

Service was absolutely dreadful, 30 minutes after ordering passed and still nothing, we enquired and finally received our drinks, an hour after ordering we still hadn’t received our food! It was so difficult to get the staffs attention to enquire, when we finally managed to get someone’s attention we then had to wait an extra 20 minutes before receiving our food. When the food came everything tasted quite salty. Wouldn’t recommend. Was looking forward to coming but won’t be returning

I am a big Fego fan but sadly I will not be using their delivery service again. It has been poorly set up and poorly executed. As I sit here typing I have been waiting 75 minutes for a delivery that I have paid £4 to have done. I have tried to call 5 times and no one has picked up. I know they are trying to branch out due to COVID-19 but if you are then you still need offer good service. And if you are going to charge £4 for delivery then it needs to be within a reasonable time frame.

Had a fabulous takeaway on Friday night. The dishes were really tasty and there was a great choice. The Harissa lamb was gorgeous and the hummus was some of the best I have ever tasted. The salads were generous, in particular the goat's cheese one. They are doing a great job in what must be very difficult circumstances.

We love Fegos and have been regulars for years. During Lockdown, we’ve been continuing to visit them for coffee, but we’ve just had our first takeaway meal. The menu is varied and we could get our favourites. Everything stayed warm in the special packaging. Highly recommend.

Just want to say how amazing everyone at Fego’s are being and praise their ingenuity during these unprecedented times. They have provided an amazing takeaway service, providing food to they normal high standards.It great you can get an Americano coffee (that’s kept me going, throughout lockdown)Last night we had one of their new BBQ boxes, the quality and amount of food in the box was amazing.The ribs, chicken thighs, lamb chop great and the marinade on them was amazing. Greek and asian salads were mind blowing and the dips and flat breads really nice as well.Awesome BBQ box with a great selection of food for all the family, both meat eaters and non meat eater.Great value for the price, our box managed to eat 6 hungry individuals (3 adults and 3 children).Highly recommended.

We have now had delivery of 2 Fegos vegetable boxes whilst lockdown is still in place. They are excellent value and come with a huge range of vegetables. A great service locally, and would highly recommend.

Really friendly staff, restaurant was very busy but service was still great. Bistro type menu but the best bistro food I've had in a long, long time. We went there for a team lunch and I had the steak sandwich which I can honestly say I'd happily eat every day if I could!! I haven't been for breakfast but I'm led to believe that's excellent too. A couple of my colleagues had breakfast items on the all day menu and they looked amazingly good - and I believe tasted that way too. Excellent all round.

Returned here after a long session at McLaren Ascot for a late lunch and although full we were seated quite quickly. A great menu with many specials too. Food arrives in decent time and is always of good quality, taste and portion size. Very attentive service and respectable prices.

Went for birthday breakfast at the peak time on a Sunday so had to wait about 15/20 minutes but once we were sat down it was great as always. The menu has so many delicious options I've tried a few now and they're all gorgeous. Service was on point. Atmosphere was lovely, it's always worth the wait.

I love the Vegetarian Breakfast here and the Mixed Berry smoothie made with their delicious fresh orange juice. If you go at lunch hours around 1pm be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes but it will be worth it! Be aware of added costs with offered extras. For example cream on drinks etc which they will charge for.

My wife and I were going to Fego a few times a week, but haven't been for a while we went today, and the food was great, and the service was outstanding Lucie and Michal always exceed our expectations they are one of the reasons we go there, we will return.

Simply the best place for breakfast, light lunches or snacks around the area. The staff are always polite, the food is always great and the service is always fantastic. Nothing more to add really! Keep up the great work!

Delicious. My guest had already been before and had the full English, I was expecting a “cafe”. What a nice surprise, a mix between a cafe and wine bar. It was busy but were seated within a few minutes. I chose smoked salmon hot pot and my guest full English. Although priced around £10, mine was amazing and his “ an average full English” good but not wow. Should have chosen a more interesting sounding course. Definitely would go again to sample something else. Be adventurous.

Really nice warm welcome,not that busy for a Saturday morning which was excellent as we got to choose where to sit,ordered are drinks didn’t have to wait long at all ,they even checked back to see if we were happy with what we got as we did say this was are first time here , ordered are food and when it came out presentation was lovely but it was cold ! No check back either, couldn’t be bothered to complain as the rugby was on and we had to leave.we will not be returning again was very disappointed.

I have lived near here for years and never been in. Needed a quick coffee so rather than going to a high street chain thought I would give them a go. Immediately approached and the coffee was excellent. However... the ‘Im am oh so slightly better than you’ attitude from staff is a great shame. Come on guys you have a great product, work it, be happy.

We have been going to fego for the last month and what a find the spicy scrambled egg is fantastic, always bustling the staff are phenomenal nothing is ever to much trouble, and the breakfast smoothie is lush, its a professional and slick operation

For a cafe the food here is on a different level. It is so much better, so much tastier, so much more healthier. All freshly made.

I arrived at Fegos at 14:30 to have a light lunch. After ordering an Americano and chicken strips the food came out 15 minutes later which wasn’t the problem. Coffee cup had lipstick marks around the edges and was filthy. Then the chicken wings had no taste and had a texture that of rubber.

I visited this lovely cafe with Friends for brunch. Service was great. Friendly staff. We had a Thai waitress. She was amazing and very attentive. My food was lovely. I had the ‘ranchero’ with a side of toast. Also liked the smoothies. Would recommend the green smoothie! Was very nice.

Went here for my wife’s 30th birthday for brunch. We were a party of 6 adults and one baby (in her push chair). The staff seemed slightly ‘annoyed’ we had turned up. There were only about 5/6 other diners there... the staff were rude and slightly aggressive. My wife retuned here smoothly as it was so sour it was undrinkable. We asked our waitress to try it. She did, and agreed, but said we will still have to pay for it.

We went for brunch at the weekend as we hadnt been to Fego's for ages. The food is always good - exactly what you want for brunch!! As its good, it's busy so service and waiting for drinks, food and bill etc all a bit slow but we weren't in a rush so it wasnt the end of the world.

Ate here for lunch on Friday. The place was packed out which is always a good sign. Ordered a chicken wrap for £9. Tastes lovely but wasn’t worth £9. Will probably go back but you don’t get value for money there

Excellent customer service. Delicious lattes, shakshuka and ranchero. Very busy around 10:30; quietened down by midday. Already planning my next visit! Highly recommend.

Popped in at a busy time. Great food selection- great service. Great buzz and experience. A lot to select off the menu. Delicious. Staff could be more helpful and less vacuous.

Called in for brunch and the place was as usual very busy, no problem, staff always attentive and service was tip top. For drinks we had the fresh orange juice, one large and one medium, different glasses but both looked about the same for quantity! Americano coffee, hot and strong, maybe too strong for some tastes but fine by me. Camomile tea was ok. For food i had the eggs benedict with ham and a side of hash browns, eggs poached to perfection, delicicious ham on a soft muffin. The other meal was a highly rated falafel salad with added feta cheese. Whether early breakfast, brunch lunch or afternoon food this place is well worth a visit. My only gripe the discretionary! 12.5% service charge.

After dropping my daughter off at school and taking my dog for a run at the Ascot racetrack I came to Fego; whilst there are numerous coffee shops in ascot I have always found this place very accommodating even to the point a waitress came out to greet me when I sat down outside and gave the did a bowl of water. The food has always been of a high quality and the choice is extensive. Highly recommend Fego

This place is fantastic. Popped in for Sunday brunch - wife and I had the Mediterranean (one with black pudding and one with smoked salmon) and daughter had Rancheros. All the food was amazing - lovely salty oily focaccia, grilled halloumi, peppers, spinach... and more. All lovely. Black pudding in particular was fab and when I commented the chef gave me some to take away! So brilliant service too! Coffee could have been better but as food and service was 6 stars, I’m still a 5 star overall!

Have been twice in recent weeks and no complaints either time - not had to wait for a table although it was busy and service and food were both fairly quick. The first time I visited was a brunch and I had the Spicy Scrambled Eggs with smoked salmon, delicious! Second time was lunch time and I had the Halloumi and Avocado wrap with a side of sweet potato fries - equally delicious! Both times my friend and I treated ourselves to a glass of prosecco which they serve with a slice of strawberry in which is a nice touch as made it feel very decadent.

It is my second Fego location and again disappointing. Food is great but tables are dirty and sticky, too many people so you can't seat without touching someone. And do not seat right in front of entrance - lots of people passing by, opening doors, making your experience unpleasant, too cold. Staff is not friendly.

I visited with my son for brunch. The pancake stack was disappointing. Small sized pancakes (a very cheap thing to make) and they were luke warm and I would suspect not freshly made. Shame.

Love this place, can always rely on the best poached egg and smashed avocado! Never been let down. Only downfall is the queue for a table and how close all the tables are, defiantly need a bigger location.
