Really quaint place and breakfast was good. Done to order and good sized portions. They have a veggie breakfast on the menu. Lovely staff and made very welcome. Recommend it for families, couples. Parking on site.

Down to sample this local tourist attraction just a short walk from home. Food cooked to order, from menu, choice of set breakfasts offering various combos of eggs sausages bean tomatoes bacon mushrooms bread and butter or toast. Tea or coffee. They make a lovely cup of tea, food was cooked just right. Have been several time since and will be back again, you can sit in the carriage where the kitchen is, outside if and when the sun shines or there is an open shelter that was warm with the sunshine but out of any draft along the platform. Would recommend and will use again thank you

This could be a interesting venue for a room but it felt tired, a little dirty and we didn’t feel welcomed.

We went for lunch as a group and were delighted to find this sweet little railway carriage converted into a tea rooms. The menu was simple but there was plenty of choice and the prices were amazingly good value. We sat on the old platform and enjoyed the fine weather looking out over the tracks and scenery beyond. Well worth a visit.

Called in for a lunch today and enjoyed every bite. I had the standard size breakfast with one of everything and it was good quality food cooked very nicely and served with a cup of tea and a smile. My wife had cod and chips, which was a lovely piece of fish served with nice chunky chips and peas. We are gradually working our way through the many options on the menu and have found everything so far to be good quality food well cooked. The quaint old railway carriage that is used for the café is unusual and cosy and all adds to the friendly atmosphere. The staff are chatty and helpful. The outside area is surrounded by countryside, with one close by field being home to a herd of alpacas. There are picnic tables and plenty of grass for the kids to run around safely, making it easy to relax. Very different to the days of old when the trains used to pass through full of coal from Tilmanstone colliery.

We called in with our grandson for lunch after a trip on the steam train, which itself was a great experience for him. The burgers we had went down well being full of flavour and with plenty of chips. Accompanied by crisp salad, a nice coffee and cheerful friendly staff. We love the train carriage diner and the outdoors area with countryside views. The low prices are a bonus.

Went with a railway enthusiast friend to have a look at the set up here and was pleasantly surprised at the number of people on a Thursday lunchtime stopping here for a bite to eat. Modest range on the menu but no complaints at the speed and quality of the food delivered at very reasonable prices. No trains on today but still worth a visit if only for the cafe.

Beautiful surroundings and a lovely location for breakfast, or so we thought. Walked in and said 'hello' - silence! The woman just looked at us and we asked if they did breakfast, she flung a menu at us and, still..... silence. No communication, not even a smile. We walked out.

Had breakfast with friends and it was fantastic! Opted for the Station Master, which is larger than the Signal Man. It was so big but lovely! The large was only £6.50 including coffee! Smaller is £4.50 but still very large and includes tea or coffee! Great little find!

Very pretty little station, no longer in use for train trips other than a very short trip that they run at certain times of the year to Sheperd Ewell. Its a small museum and tea room. Has special themed children days, party events and cream tea experiences etc. Reasonably priced.

Following a day at Walmer Castle we were taken to Eythorne Station for a surprise. It was a Cream Tea served on the platform from a railway car, In fact a number of cars, with in-door seating and toilet facilities. If we had been earlier we may have seen a Steam Train, but it was so nice sitting enjoying a tea in a unique location. Thank to our friends and to the Tea Room for supporting the surprise and delivering a very nice tea.

Visited for our daughters birthday very very disappointed food poor quality. 3/4 had chips which were just basic skin on frozen fries . Eggs were cheap ones . I had the lamb rump which was tough as old boots not given a steak knife had too ask for 1 even then couldn’t really eat the meat it was such poor quality and fatty. The gravy watery the bubble and squeak burnt and cold carrots and “buttered “ cabbage cold boiled cabbage avoid so so disappointing the whole meal was and definitely overpriced

Delicious coffee and vegan sausage roll and such a lovely and friendly manager, Mercy, who is obviously very passionate about what she does. Highly recommended!

A fabulous overnight stop in our campervan. We had a very warm welcome from Dylan who looked after us very well. The bar & restaurant was very busy however Dylan’s professionalism as a server made his job appear easy! Our food was served in a timely manner, piping hot and so delicious! The pastry on the vegetable tart was so tasty with added herbs. The gammon steak burger with an egg was very moreish. Now to the sticky toffee pudding with piping hot custard, a decent size portion, thank goodness we shared! Believe me when I say this is a lovely pub with scrumptious food, & fabulous service from Dylan

Horrible food. Tinned vegetables and poor quality meat. Hard overcooked roast potatoes. Horrible desert. Best eat at home or definitely somewhere else. Lots of flies everywhere on the ceiling also.
