Eden in Portsmouth

I loved this place, was my first time and the staff where lovely Ben and Brad made every effort to make our date night lovely as it had been awhile. Food was cooked to perfection so props to the chef that night. The drink are lovely the one with sweet pea is my favourite. Will definitely be back soon

Booked for my 40th birthday celebrations, 12 of us attended Eden for their "Disco Brunch" on a Saturday for the 2.30pm sitting. We were all seated by 2.30 and ready to enjoy ourselves. Unfortunately Eden were not ready. Our drinks didn't start arriving until 3pm and pizza did not arrive until 3.20pm. We asked if this would mean we would still moved on from the table at 4.30, we were assured not... Having been to a brunch at the same venue in April, and with the title "Disco" and "live DJ" being advertised, we thought there would be dancing. There wasn't. This was a sit down only brunch which should be made clearer on the booking page. All previous brunches I have been to here with a live DJ had a dance floor, and the tagline for the brunch on the website begins with "Come party in the garden of Eden bar...", so that was disappointing. Another let down was how miserable a lot of the staff were, service with a smile is not on the cards at Eden. We had to chase our drinks up numerous times as well. Previously, at the bottomless brunches here, bottles of prosecco and jugs of cocktails have been provided. I asked if they could do bottles and jugs and was told no, it had to be glass by glass. So we ordered single drinks but had to wait for them to be served, not really in the spirit of a bottomless brunch! Then come 4pm after only one hour of 'bottomless' drinks we were asked to place our last order. We obviously protested having paid for the 1.5hrs of bottomless we were promised and they (in their words) "did us a favour" by allowing two more rounds to be ordered. Our party also had 2 ladies that had prepaid not able to attend, which I understand is not the venues problem, but when we had paid an extra £70 from our table I wouldn't consider one more round "a favour". At 5pm we were asked to vacate the table as another group were coming in for the 5.30pm session, fair enough. We decided to stay in the bar for further (purchased) drinks and to our surprise the 5.30 sessions were served jugs of cocktails and bottles of prosecco! There is no clarity on this on the booking page and there really should be if there are differences between the time you book. We wanted a relaxed afternoon where we could enjoy ourselves without having to order food/drinks because it was all taken care of. We all ended up taking it in terms to chase up food and drinks. Not quite the bottomless brunch we booked.

Terrible. Sat us down and then nobody served us. Left after 10 mins. Staff standing chatting. Customer is clearly not key.

Dip is fab. Music is fab. Drinks are yummy but wait at rhe bar is longer than I would expect l! Had a good time

Poor service. Cocktails tasted like squash with only 2 shots per jug. Staff ignoring us. Pizza not nice. Email sent to manager and no response. So review left

Twenty of us gathered here on a Tuesday evening to dine-out one of our longest serving team members. We were extremely well looked after throughout the evening by Olivia, Lewis and Ben. The food and service was spot-on; comms beforehand was great and nothing was too much trouble on the evening. We were a thirsty crowd but Lewis and Ben keep us all well refreshed! Outlook from Eden is fabulous, great food choices, great drinks choices and we had a great team looking after us - what more can you ask? Highly recommended and already looking forward to our next outing to Eden.

We were stopped on the way up by leaving customers saying awful service and not to bother. So pleased we did continue though we had nothing but exceptional service by the delightful Wiktoria, the cocktails were amazing as was the food. Concidering it was so busy and we were told short staffed we had a great time. Beautiful location felt like we were abroad. Really lively atmosphere inside but it was nice sitting outside admiring the views.

I’ve been coming here 15 years (tiger before) I love it. It’s changed since the hay days but it’s evolved to a gunwharf market. Cocktails are amazing as are the views. The staff are incredible and as I’m here most weekends I’m a familiar face and smiles all round If going during summer and sitting outside, take some sun cream haha

This is always our go to place when we pop down to Gunwharf Quay...we decided to visit her for my husbands birthday.... Unfortunately this time the service let this place down badly. After waiting ages to order a drink ...my husband decided to go to the bar. The place wasn't busy it was only around 12.30. We then waited and waited to order food ...a waitress was busy chatting and there was no one else to be seen. We caught her eye and she looked away...and carried on chatting ...without acknowledging us. Eventually a waiter walked by and I called across to him to ask if we could order food.. food took a good while to come out but was lovely once it arrived. I asked on a further 2 occasions if I could order another drink but unfortunately it never happened so we decided to take our custom elsewhere. I would hate to see what this place is like when it's busy. It was such a shame as we have been coming here ever since it was Toger Tiger....unfortunately thus time the service let this place down badly.

Always a pleasure to eat in Eden, I love the mood and the design of the restaurant, friendly staff but a bit too long to be served and the food was cold. Very nice cocktails

Eden is one of the loveliest bars I’ve ever been to! The staff are very helpful and very attentive, the drinks are nice and so is the food and overall the service was just amazing. The manager of this venue is also amazing and very professional- would highly recommend and will always come back regularly!

Group of 7 celebrating a 30th birthday Arrived a little early for the 5.30pm bottomless pizza and cocktails so went into bar area que to bar was ridiculous once served drinks took forever loads of staff wandering around 2 people working behind the bar no way enough to serve the amount of drinks being ordered Finally went into bottomless brunch it clearly hadn’t been cleaned from 230pm session as toilets were disgusting toilet roll and feathers all over the floor in pretty much all toilet cubicles. Dance floor was sticky shoes were sticking to it. We’re raised an issue with our table and staff quickly rectified it. music was brilliant! great atmosphere food and drinks was ok. Would I go again? Probably would.

A booking for 10 friends. We were shown to our table and had a 15 min wait for someone to take our order. When we did order, we ordered drinks and food at the same time. The starters arrived before the drinks, and the waitress didn't know what one of the starters was! And we were one starter short. The main courses were very good though when they arrived about an hour after we sat down. I did ask for more water, which never materialised. I saw a waiter wandering around with three burgers looking completely lost. When he did get to the right table, I heard someone say one of them was wrong. More staff and more training advised. Needless to say, we did not leave a tip.

Absolutely smashing night. Served by an amazing bartender Lewis who made sure all our drinks were 100% to our liking and made for great conversation. Our server Bella was excellent and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was banging and drinks were even better. Great customer service and had a really pleasant time so would deffo go again!! Highly recommend.
