Nice freshly cooked fish to take away

Excellent food, friendly staff 😋

Just recently found this fish bar and have been there twice now. The plaice and the haddock are large portions and the chips are cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this. The only disadvantage is their limited opening hours because they are in a village, only Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and also Saturday lunch time.

Best chippy around! Lived here 2 years now and can’t fault it!!

Still following the old rules for COVID, with 2 in the shop at a time. But the fish and chips was good at a good price, so I can put up with the unneccesary rules.

its a lovely old traditioned chip shop where everything is done right ...they yes the right vinegar lovely chip good proportions and lovely big fish lovely couple that runs it coming there for year i live 2 villages away from Eastry but its my local fishbaar really i recommend fully

My wife and myself have visited this Chippy 3 times now whilst staying in Eastry over 3 weekends fish and chips are one of our favourites meals and I can say this is one of the best fresh flakey fish and lovely chips on every visit we ordered the other day went to the pub to pick up 2hours later it was perfect they kept an eye on us and as soon as they see us drink up the fish was cooked thank you

Would recommend this chippy, we use it occasionally as my favourite place to go for freshly cook food, service is quick, if it's on the menu you may need to wait to have it cooked if it's not on display. staff are friendly and welcoming,

My mother lived near Eastry and we have been coming to this fish and chip shop on and off for over 30 years. The food and service have always been excellent. Beautiful flakey fish in a light delicious batter. As good as it gets.

Love our local chippy friendly owners and food always fresh and the best thing is you can phone your order through we would be lost in the village without them

I got fish and chips and curry sauce from here for the first time as working nearby at Knowlton court live 97miles from here in Ware av to say its the best fish and chips ive had in years and the people serving were so friendly superb food and the curry sauce was quality am working here till next saturday will defo be going back for more food cheers

I asked for place, and it was cooked freshly for me. We also had scampi which was nice, the mushy peas were perfect and the chips are crisp and tasty. Friendly down to earth staff too.

Lovely haddock and chips, the best I've tasted, don't mind the travelling for it, as very worthwhile.

Stone cold cod and chips. Awful

My husband and I have been using this fish and chips shop for over 10 years now - we just love it. The owners are on site and are both welcoming and friendly. We love haddock - it is nearly always freshly cooked for us. You can phone ahead if you would prefer not to wait and engage in village gossip and banter. We highly recommend them.

Do nice fish and chips sometimes. Lovely pies and very clean easy to find if your just visiting Eastry to see family and was q quick dinner didn't have to look to far. Was a good find

I've purchased food from here 3-4 times. The chips are ok. The cod is of quite poor quality, the batter too thick and the worst saveloy I've ever had.

We have been going here for years and will make the journey because the chips are delicious all year round.

I love the way this fish bar packages it's food. That's a really nice plus. The chips are good and the pies are good...the cod in batter however is questionable. Not very nice at all which is weird considering how close to the cost Eastry is. You would have expected it to be really nice. Anyway I'd say this place is good for a take away but I'd avoid the cod. Had it on two different occasions and not nice either time. The pie was good though.

The best haddock in Kent! Thoroughly recommended. It's good to find people who care about what they do.

Visited last Friday and had haddock & chips for two. Really good but also the service was great, very welcoming! Will be back!

Lovely lady served us with some fine fresh chips for £1.50 a bag. Couldn't fault it. Nice and clean inside too. Recommended.

Staying in Eastry and walked to the pub opposite then walked out of the pub as it was not our cup of tea, very hungry and saw the chippy, I know it's sad but saw a spam fritter and got excited, it was lovely. The couple serving where very friendly, thank you.

Tenía un excelente par de comidas desde este bar amable hoy en día. Las patatas fritas son estupendas, sabroso, bien cocinada y no grasienta. La Solla era de un alto estándar de calidad, con excelente pescado, buen sabor y una buena masa sabrosa y crocante. Los scampi que tuve fue el mejor scampi que he probado, no es broma. Estaba increíblemente crujientes, con jugosas y mullidas scampi dentro ¡ñam ñam!

No tengo pescado y patatas fritas que a menudo, pero Eastry pescado Bar es el lugar donde siempre voy. Es mucho mejor que cualquiera de los otros fish and chips tiendas locales. La pareja que lo lleva es muy amable.

No te puedes equivocar aquí alimentos impresionante. No sé qué pasa con el una mala crítica, claramente esperaba un restaurante de 5 estrellas dirigido por Jamie Oliver. It's Fish and chips y es fantástico, los propietarios son amables y siempre muy acogedor sin duda volveremos una y otra vez :)

Friendly proprietors and tasty fare but a little pricey.but when your staying at the blazing donkey it is very near by to go to to get a decent meal !

Great place to grab some proper English fish and chips. Has lots of other things to, burgers, beans, mushy peas etc etc good price and better than the alternatives.

I've eaten Fish & Chips everywhere in my area,however Eastry Fish Bar is by far the best.Fast & friendly service as always has been, 33 years under the same owners and never had a bad meal.I give a 5 star rating for the food, service, and consistency I receive when I go for my dinner. Portions are spot on, and cheaper than most around the local area. Nice to see that a portion of chips is a portion . Family bag of chips great idea feed four easily without overeating. Keep up the great service and food.In short excellent :-) ....

This place feels like the last chippy on earth.The owners are so rude and disinterested they have no manners and couldn't care less about their customers This place is never open.One wonders why ? I have the answer the food is greasy and very expensive mean mean portions . Do yourself a favour and go up the road to the Chinese for chips (:Like we do:) The owner go around like they are doing you a favour in serving you,rather than the other way around..Actually if you have been here in the past ,Then you have done them a favour.Just by turning that one potato they peeled and chopped into a large portion of chips!
