Del Boy's in Shepway

Food lacked everything it showed on the pictures on the menu board...didn't spot it till we got home and unwrapped the food....no salad, extra pitta that we ordered and thr food in general was bland. Won't be going there again! Only giving it 1 star because I can't submit review if I don't 'star' it.

We ordered 2 large cod and chips plus 2 chicken kebabs and they were excellent. The chips were spectacular, obviously cooked in hot oil rather than being boiled in cool oil. We ordered online and collected and the food was ready in under 25 mins, piping hot. We will be ordering from here again and you should too.

Im delboys fish bar as we speak and looking though to the kitchen. I'm amazed. Worker slapping the fish to make it seem bigger and cutting and usual size fish fillet into 3 that I image they sell off as a normal size at £6.90 per fish. Discussed. Do not order!!!!!!!

Absolutely terrible experience, waited over an hour for my delivery. When it finally turned up the driver didnt have change, I paid with a £20 note for a £12.50 order he took it and said I'll go and get change. He took over 20mins to bring the change back and gave me £10 so I assumed he knocked off the £2.50 for the trouble. He then came back again another 20mins later and said he had to get £2.50 off me because he didnt realise my order was £12.50 so I asked if he had the correct change from a £10 note and he said yes, but then only gave me £7 and said I'll have to go and get some 50ps!!!! Absolute joke

Always good tasting food, my only gripe is that delivery takes 1 hour though or would have given 5 stars.

Placed an order via Just Eat, food arrived with one item missing, rang up to be told that driver left it behind and he was on his way, food arrived, opened it up, the lettuce was brown and the tomatoes were wrinkly, tiny portion of food. Disappointing, Del Bys used to be very good, going right down hill now. Nobody cares about the customer service or the quality of the food now.

Takeaway ordered Monday night and said it would be 40 mins...after an hour the app said it had been delivered so phoned up and was told it’s wrong it’s still on its way. Waited another 15 mins for cold food to arrive. Kids fish was disgusting and full of hair! Absolutely stunk and was inedible, didn’t phone and ask for replacement as everyone was staring so we just ate the rest of the cold food and left a message on the just eat app that wasn’t replied too.

I ordered via just eat and forgot to order chips with our fish! 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door and some free chips! Now that’s service! Thanks guys

Ordered very well done lamb kebab meat was still pink other kebabs were not as ordered items missing. Firstly refused to rectify problem made me out to be a liar until they realised they made mistake finally agreed to replace one of the kebabs. Never again

We were in need and fish and chips and did not want to venture out in the rain. So despite seeing the reviews on here we ordered from them purely because they deliver. I must say we were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered a meal deal of 2 medium cods, fish, mushy peas and diet Pepsis. The food was with us within half an hour, the fish was really tasty and the chips were cooked nicely. It was all served in a nice, presentable, traditional box.

The chips looked anemic, tasted flavourless, My partner has a burger that was ok, The fish was flavourless and the batter wasn't even cooked properly!!! Really thick batter and soggy too, disgusting.

This place was great when it first opened. Recently my daughter persuaded us to have it again for dinner , really regretted it. I had a simple burger and chips and it was awful the chips were cooked in what can only have been incredibly old and dirty oil, the burger I’m not convinced was a burger one bite and I couldn’t eat it. Even my son who is basically a human dustbin for food didn’t enjoy it at all. It’s a shame as it was good at first and is very close to us.

Already had two bad deliveries before, always missing items of food or being cold, after complening owner asked us to give him another chance. What a disgusting, disappointing 70 minutes waiting time for cold delivery. Rude girl who took our order over the phone couldn't care less about my complain. Been offered £2 less by the owner, when the driver finally arrived didn't mentioned anything about less money, he wanted the full amount. What a joke. Then the owner called, ask me what I wanted, I said HOT food, he said he's been on the phone with me 11 minutes, so it's enough now he needs to go as it's his night off. PLEASE do yourself and a favour and order your takeaway somewhere else, don't bother with rude staff, u only need to read others reviews to know, the food always arrives COLD.

After using Del boys on 2 happy occasions before, i was shocked for the sudden decline. Waited for almost an hour for food to be delivered. Food arrived completely cold and absolutely no salad but simply a huge pile of onions on my kebab. phoned to complain to a rude member of staff who actually blamed myself for the missing salad. lol. After threats to review, i was then called back by a kinder member of staff. We microwaved our dinner and dined as usual (salad free), and no further action was taken. They have asked me to please try them again, (which i will) so lets hope they get this sorted quickly.

Used this a few times and always been good but the lat 2 times used them and food was just warm and the service was late. The last time the food arrived well after the Just Eat App said the food had been delivered.

Awful. Fish was soggy. As well as the chips. Fast delivery. Soggy batter on sausage. Not enough sauce.

Worse fish and chips ever. The fish was obviously cheap frozen as two thin brown bits of cod (debatable) stuck together with batter before frying. The chips looking like they had been refried more than one Absolutely awful

Absolutely goregous..Incredible value and a lovely salad which is way more than just cabage and onions as most are..

The food was hot and fairly tasty. Very clean with the staff cleaning as they went. Chip shop chips with kebab (would have preferred "fries"). A little more expensive than other take aways in the area.

Phoned order got in 40 mins , turned up freezing cold so phoned them bk up and got told whAt do you want me to do about it then I replayed I would like hot ones please so then they delived 1 hour later which was micowave because the box they where in was melted at the sides and the lettuce went brown so I'm not happy with them

I am a local resident to the newly opened fish and chip shop on Fleming way and decided to try it with my family, I certainly was not dissappointed!I am usually let down with fish and chips because the batter is soggy, due to being left in the heated cabinet for too long however at Del Boys they cooked the fish it fresh which really makes a difference! Also the value for money is amazing, with the £1.99 deal for mini cod and chips being fantastic price for what, and the quality of the food. My sons had a kebab and burgers and thouroughly enjoyed it, commenting that it was "the best burger in Folkestone!".The customer service was also fantastic as the owner and cook was very friendly. Will definatly be going again!!

This newly opened takeaway offering fish & chips together with kebabs etc. is has filled a much needed niche for a quality fish and chip/kebab shop in a residential area of Folkestone. The mini cod & chips at £3.30 is excellent value for money and was cooked to perfection with lovely crispy batter and using real new potatoes for the chips. Others in the household have had kebabs and said they were lovely too.We do not very often have takeaways but everything was so nicely cooked and reasonably priced that we have been back within a week. We also have at least a couple of friends who have done the same, one travelling a couple of miles. Everything is cooked to order so be prepared to wait but it was certainly worth it and would imagine that they will be kept very busy if the current high standard is kept up.
