Dee Dee's Cafe in Shepway

Lovely peaceful place to enjoy ur food or coffee/tea. Lovely people work there and service is fantastic.

Can't rate as visited twice in last 2 weeks but there was no hot food available. 1st visit was lunch time, I was told the cooker wasn't on. Asked for a panini from the cabinet & was advised they were for "display only" ! I did have a hot chocolate which was good & the young man who served me was very pleasant. Today I visited at 15.40 for something to eat & was told there was no food & coffee machine was washed so couldn't be used. Apparently they were closing at 4pm. Given The Range is open 'til 8pm and it's 3 weeks before Xmas (which is the store's prime selling period) seems a bit short sited to close so early). If it does close regularly at this time it should be advertised near the entrance as it's a huge store with the cafe tucked in a corner upstairs, quite a trek to be turned away. Disappointed and I won't bother trying again as there is a Sainsbury's & a Costa on the same retail park which do offer a service to accommodate customer needs.

Shocking only word I can say!!! Absolutely. The cheese and ham toasties well it wouldn't feed a mouse..no butter wafer thin ham and a smell of cheese. Just wow never again...Shocking how you can rip people off.

Only one other person in the cafe yet hardly any food available. They had a costa menu but again they didn't even have 90% of those options available! Very over priced for what you get. Would not waste time or money or your taste buds going here. AVOID.

It's a shame. This place could be good.... but it's abysmal & absolute disorganised chaos. Food is basic and waiting times (IF they remember your order) are appalling. Been here on two occasions & both times they 'forgot' our orders. After waiting ages, we had to reminded them of what we ordered. They then forget to serve half of it... so we had to wait even longer. The problem seems to be the rate & how orders processed in the kitchen. It's totally random, adhoc and no organisation. They URGENTLY need more dynamic staff in the kitchen! Only visit if you're desperate.

Refused to serve even a baguette or sandwich an entire hour before they closed. It turned atleast 4 other groups of people away, seems crazy when businesses are struggling. We only bought a drink because that’s all we were allowed and won’t bother again.

Probably the worst cafe experience. Overpriced white bread sandwich. No flavour. Dirty tables and very limited menu. I don't understand why they don't improve this place. It's been serving very poor quality food for years. Reviews are very poor on their website but no moves to improve it at all. One staff member struggling to serve a line of people. Broken oven today which added to her stress. Probably fine for just a cup of tea, otherwise, give it a miss.

Tasteless overpriced paninis. Staff need training. Best to avoid.

Just got back from Dee Dee’s Cafe Cheriton in Folkestone Kent. This place should be shut down. Absolute waste of time going there, 4 of us decided to have a bit of lunch after shopping in the Range, there wasn’t any point as there was no food in stock only 4 sausage rolls, we thought she was joking but No not even a cake, this was at 12.30 lunch time, yet all there menus boards were outside telling you what the had plus Iceland was next door. In the end we said ok 4 sausage rolls it is, we asked for them to be hot, as the couple behind managed to get the last pieces of toast with baked beans, the girl took everything back on there tray as it was stone cold. And the girl serving had to give them there money back, And they went to McDonald’s instead. Anyway our sausage rolls came up talk about hot they were cremated. Never again as all the customers said the same & walked out. Disgusted Carol Smith.

2 Dry scones just with butter £3.90. You will not find cream tea here. Lady got even our sandwiches wrong. And they was tasteless anyway. Really disappointed. Not coming back.

Dee dee stalbans the range just been there for food but was really bad we got three cold burgers in cold buns and cost £17 so really should be looked at the person was on there own and couldn't cook not eating here again 😑

Called into the cafe today after a walk around Abbey Park, the food we ordered was awful, my partner ordered a fish finger sandwich, it was freezing cold bread was stale, I had sausage sandwich the bread was old and stale, never had this before at the cafe, food was very poor today

Love it here the staff are so welcoming and will go out of the way to provide for you Gemma is the star here always has time to talk to us and she is funny

This was the first time we'd made use of Dee Dee's Cafe in The Range, as my wife hadn't had lunch before we'd picked her up from work, and we needed to go to The Range to get some bits for the kids. We had cream teas while the kids had juice and cake. There were also paninis, pasties, sausage rolls etc on offer. The cream tea was ok, although I felt our mugs could have had an extra half inch of water in for the tea at the least. The dining area itself was ok. There are booths along one wall as well as tables across the floor. When we came into the cafe there wasn't anyone else being served or eating but there were a few tables and booths needing to be cleared up, especially as a couple of the booths had crisps that had been dropped on the floor.

Fantastic cafe, Mandy was a one woman wonder. Doing the job of 2 or 3 and excellently so. Lovely food and great service!

I didn't even know the range had a cafe and I stumbled upon this little beauty. The food was fantastic, the seating area is plentiful and the most part? The service - the lovely lady that served me didn't judge me on the fact I wanted oat milk and cream, had a laugh and a joke when I had a cake as well!! Very friendly staff and if you lived close it would be somewhere were the staff would chat you to about your life etc!!

J'adore m'arrêter boire un bon chocolat chaud avec d'excellents toats, super rapport qualité prix ! Pouvoir se restaurer en plein milieu d'un magasin n'existe pas en France et c'est fort dommage. Personnel très sympa et très accueillant avec les français.

Sometimes stop by for a cup of tea and a cake whilst doing my shopping, and must say it is always a lovely break. The cafe is well organised, prices are great, and I have never received bad service. Smiley staff make all the difference too!

i stood for a long time before i got served, nobody to be seen apart from one chatting to people sitting down,and knew i was there but seemed to be ignored. a pot of tea at £1.60 and a sandwich priced at £3.25 for one slice of cheese,and a sausage roll for £1.85 .cake at £3.50. no wonder it was quiet. i was not impressed. its at the far end of the Range, if you want to look for it and try for yourself but make sure you have plenty of money.
