Over priced , very limited choice and poor quality. Overall the quality of restaurants / takeaways in Deal is very high so i was shocked by how bad this was. Maybe i went on an off day but certainly would not bother again. Can't really say anymore than that .

Good selection and very pleasant gentleman serving. Its cash only so be prepared. Usual selection of seafood, but the eels were the highlight. So fresh and meaty. Some bread to accompany would be nice as some other stalls offer. Nice to be able to put the vinegar and pepper on yourself too

Best seafood all the time love this stall. Ask the lady and she will allways tell you if its fresh or frozen, cant get enough of their seafood.

Found the seafood very expensive and not the freshest. The cockles were full of water, taking away any flavour, they had obviously had been frozen and the grey water not drained away. But why would they, as it all adds to the weight.

We always stop here and get our Whelks, Rollmop and Seafood selection. Very friendly staff, especially the chap who used to run the shop in the bus station area. Good crabs and fish for the barbi. Will keep your shopping in his fridge whilst you explore the rest of Deal. Make sure you get back for it though. Surprised re comments on hygiene. Never had a problem myself

Fab choice of fresh sea food on offer at very reasonable price. Beware of the seagulls! The lady serving us was great and let you try things before buying.

We really enjoy our visits to the shellfish stall on the seafront. It sells very traditional seaside shellfish- cockles, whelks etc. Very "unfussy" and in little pots- as I say, typical traditional seaside shellfish- no bells and whistles! We have always been served by polite ladies and the stall is always clean and tidy and seafood displayed simply in trays on a refrigerated counter..... cant comment on other peoples negative reviews, perhaps they were expecting a different experience, but we have certainly never found the food to be anything but tasty and fresh! We hope to be visiting for many more years to come!

A tad hungover, we braved the wind and settled down at the end of the pier. Stunning views of the sea all round (as you'd expect), and a beautiful veggie breakfast, pot of tea and really nice espresso. All very reasonable, too. Two of the people I was with had meaty breakfasts, and they were equally as happy.

Delicious. Simply served and very fresh. Lots of choice. Served in pots with a plastic fork. Cockles with a sprinkling of pepper. Yum!

Beware of dishonest stall vendor! I bought a pot of whelks for £2.50 and paid the lady the money. Before I collected my pot I the asked for another pot, this time cockles at £2.50. She then asked for £5 instead of £2.50. I told her I already paid £2.50 for the last pot and reminded her I just paid for it. She would'nt admit she had taken it although she blatantly still had it on her. Not being bothered to get in a big argument over £2.50 I left. Just beware the vendor is a crook and I wondered how many other people she has stolen from in this manner form her. She gives a bad name to honest street stall vendors.

just realised this fish stall is on trip advisor and i visit this place every time i visit my brother in walmer, its just down the beach near the pier....having grown up in manchester and off to the seaside in blackpool as a child, this is a brilliant flashback for me, mixed seafood, cockles, mussels and sitting on the clean, clean beach with the kids and family and dogs, beautiful views of the pier and out to sea and the lovely front with the colourful and historic buildings as per my review of the pier and beach...its a lovely stretch to walk along and then enjoy, ive eaten here lots of times over the years, excellent

Ordered through just eat, my review wasn't loaded only left 1 star but no description was uploaded onto just eat so thought I would post a review here! No salt and vinegar on chips as ordered, black hair found on savaloy and was cold, a black fibre of some sort on a chip, the batter was soggy and doughy, and had a funny taste, the chips was tasteless and some were green. They was 20 minutes late, no apologies when dropped off. Overall very disappointed and the food was not nice at all, or worth the money. I use to love their food, this was our go to chippie in Dover.. never again! 🤢

A year ago portions and quality was good. Now, pies are soggy as they microwave them in front of you. Chip portion sizes have shrunk massively. Lost alot of love for this place. So sad. They took advantage of a couple who have had a drink. Poor. Castle Street fish bar in future

The stand out from our experience this evening was the service. Polite, knowledgeable and helpful he made good recommendations and made us feel very welcome.

We ate our meal in their restaurant area, good service, tasty F+C, the room was a little away from the fryers so it wasn't too noisy. My only criticism is that the 'cider' on the menu is a can of Strongbow and I'd say £5 is a bit steep for that!
