We had such a special lunch at Damson and couldn't recommend it more highly. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and the food was delicious from start to finish. We had a vegan among us and the team prepared a bespoke menu for her in advance, which she absolutely loved. Damson is such good value for money and would be great for lunch or dinner - in a couple, or a group. The menu changes frequently and we can't wait to go back!! Such a gem.

Once again an excellent meal with some very novel options. Very pleasant and helpful staff. No complaints at all. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Stunning restaurant, relaxed environment, friendly staff who are passionate about what they do, but mainly sensational, creative food. We did the food tasting and it did not disappoint. Course after course of delicious and beautifully presented food. The clementine granita was mind blowingly zingy in combination with the chocolate snow, cranberry and honey parfait. An absolute favourite. It was a perfect evening. Commend the whole team here for a fabulous experience and highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

The Damson never fails to deliver top quality food & service. Yes we’ve been lucky enough to visit a few times in the year since it opened. We’ve tried lunch, dinner and last night the exquisite tasting menu (hint miss lunch before you go). The tasting menu by definition is a journey through a myriad of dishes tied together by the seasons. There is also an exhaustive use of every piece of meat or vegetable across the dishes. Nothing goes to waste. Special mention to the expanding mocktails menu. You might think the location is a bit far out but trust me if you do drive (not my turn last night) you are well catered for. Service as always top quality. Caring but not intrusive and full of nice little touches which I won’t mention as you’ll need to try for yourself. Needless to say the petit fours and surprise biscuits (not a surprise for you now) came home in a little box. I hear Sunday dinner is something special, so need to get that on the list!

A Well cooked meal, hot and well presented. The Ibex is situated in Chaddleworth, a pretty village in West Berkshire, about 7 miles North of Newbury. A good chef.

This country pub has one of the best kitchens in the area. The food served Is good and the prices are reasonable for what you are getting. Parking can be a challenge when it's busy. I highly recommend trying their scotch eggs starters and the mushroom starter. Both are exquisite and unique. We had the steak and the lamb, the steak was a definite winner, while the lamb was not bad it was nothing special. The place is also dog friendly, there was lovely German Sheppard in there last time we visited :)

Wonderful place from start to finish. Excellent service, I don’t think the dropped fork had properly stopped bouncing on the beautiful polished floor before a replacement was in position. The decor is inviting, but the real reason we were there was for a special occasion , a memorable meal and we were delighted. We had the chef’s menu with accompanying wines. Gorgeous!
