Coffee Culture in Guildford

I usually come to this place a lot, but today for some reason the muffins were cold when she said that they were in the microwave and they were stale the coffee was lukewarm, not even hot and unfortunately the atmosphere when she yawned was rather upsetting

Easily the best place in Guildford for a straightforward and decent English breakfast- friendly fast service and pleasant place on a Sunday

the best almond latte ever 🫶🏻 it is busy but they tidy very quickly and all staffs are so kind and lovely!

The smoothie was really nice and refreshing and atmosphere lovely👍🏻. But unfortunately the muffin I had was very dry and crumbly, and it genuinely tasted stale (also bland, maybe as a result of being old).

A mixed bag. Ordered 2 yummy smoothies but then got served a muffin which looked good but was probably 2 or 3 days old. It was so dry that it just crumbled to pieces. Good thing we had the smoothies to quench our thirst.

Great coffee and cake....daughter had smoothie...I loved my latte. Mouthwatering cakes, and couldn't decide,, so we shared a third..Not rushed.Great service ,atmosphere and table .Well done, will be back for lunch....

Located in a quiet pedestrian Alleyway, namely Angel Close. Outside seating where you can watch the world go by at your leisure, whilst enjoying an excellent cup of coffee. Welcoming service

Good atmosphere, with some great food and better coffee. Had the crush avo on toast with egg, panini, pies, rocky road, mocha, coffee. All very good!

I ordered a take away cake on the Saturday. It was sooo dry. Must have been on the shelf for days. You just can’t charge over £4 for a dry cake!!!😠 I always try to support the independent shops, cafes and retailers but standards do need to meet a basic minimum.

A regular haunt. The panini's are fabulous, coffee always a delight. Busy but fast service with tables inside as well as outdoors in a delightful cobblestone lane way.

Tucked down a cobblestone laneway this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great coffee and delicious food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with beautiful mosaic style tiled floors and music playing. The staff are fabulous, super friendly and welcoming. I loved the range of soups and paninis on offer and enjoyed several cakes over our stay!! Can highly recommend

This hidden gem has the best coffee and service in Guildford at really good prices in a lovely setting. Being here always feels like time we'll spent.

Very nice cosy coffee house. Good coffee but the time I went it was very slow service. Took about 15 mins to queue up, order a cappuccino and make it. They only had one person making coffee (who was also put cakes on the plates) and 3 or 4 people collecting plates and handing out food orders, so it took a long time. If they were a bit more organised about it then it would be so much better and faster. But overall, no faults with them so highly recommend.

Cosy independent coffee shop in beautiful surroundings down an alley. Plenty of outside seating and seating available inside as well. The panini's and coffee were fantastically delicious. The cakes look tasty too but I sadly didn't try one.

The name drew us here for the coffee, so this review reflects coffee only, which was dire!

Not good if you want a really good coffee. One of the largest and undrinkably hot flat whites I've had. Good for small bites, cakes etc. and for a casual coffee drinker.

Tucked into an intimate alley in Guildford, this adorable coffee shop is the perfect place to go when the weather is nice. You can sit outside and watch shoppers and imagine purchasing something adorable from the shop across the way. The food is great and they have a bunch of gluten free pastries. I only wish there was a bit more jelly in their muffins as that is my favorite part. I also love their chai and the staff is always kind and helpful.

Don't come here if youre expecting efficient service. 20min waited for a smoothie, told it was coming from the kitchen and then after a further 10min waiting I was asked if I had actually ordered.

A great little cafe hidden away in one of the narrow alleys connecting North Street and the High Street. It was absolutely packed when we arrived, but we managed to get a table directly outside under the awning. A bit of a wait to collect your coffee from the counter as table service is limited to food, but it was worth the wait. Very atmospheric during the subsequent heavy rain downpour.

The coffee here was not great. I don't remember the last time I didn't finish a flat white. Definitely not a place to go if you care about the quality of your coffee. It's always disappointing when an independent cafe has worse coffee than somewhere like Starbucks or Costa.

Coffee Culture is a great place to stop for coffee. It's in a lovely location just off the High Street. The coffee is excellent and the staff are lovely.

I'd been excited to try coffee culture after spotting it out of the hotel window the previous night. I visited in the morning and ordered a pain au raisin, banana muffin and a flat white. I had high hopes for the coffee spotting the victoria audino machine and puqpress on the counter. My order was served quickly. Was given a pain au chocolate not the pain au raisin I ordered but it was nice enough. The muffin was very good. But then came the coffee and the disappointment in a cup. So hot it might as well have been from McDonald's, certainly wasn't a flat white maybe a latte at a push ( cup was way to big ) after letting it cool for 10 minutes it was drinkable and could almost taste good coffee in the background of the over steamed milk. Just such a shame maybe a different day or a different barista it would have been better but next time I'm in Guildford I think I'll look elsewhere for a coffee and maybe just grab a cake from coffee culture.

Great coffee, great location, perfect in summer and winter.

The location of this small coffee shop is ideal, down a little lane off the High Street. There are four or five outdoor tables opposite a cute flower shop. The interior is small and cramped. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The coffee is OK, but to my taste a little weak. I had a muffin, which was fine, but the hot food looked really good

We went here expecting a coffee focused place but they only had americano and esspresso, no info on beans, no other types of black coffee. So it is actually just a cafe with sandwiches. Also the staff made our order and left it on the counter with someone remembering to announce it only after 5 minutes. We were not impressed considering this place has so many good reviews! :/

Lovely little coffee shop just off the High Street, much nicer then the national chains

Not impressed! Americano coffee was very weak - asked whether wanted one or two shots - never asked that before, took one and result was very weak and two shots would cost more - very expensive at £11.35 for decaf capuccino and Americano (black) but worst was Ultimate Chocolate Cake that was dry - obviously day(s) old.

Loved the atmosphere in there & great coffee & food. Very cramped inside but not quite warm enough for outside though plenty of seating available outside. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the heavy music was just a bit too load to chat easily hence losing a * for atmosphere. I'd certainly go back though.

Situated on one of the side alleyways of Guildford, I’d walked past CC many times and was looking forward to my first visit. Solo lunch in April 2924 was a toasted sandwich and a milk shake. Priced on the high-side at a little under £12.00 and three was no seasoning in the food making for a bland almost tasteless experience. :-(

Great coffee shop hidden in one of the tranquil narrow path ways of Guildford high Street. Great food served in a very tiny setting which gave us a little bit of a squashed feeling. But in general it was a fantastic experience, gorgeous coffee and a lovely Mother's day treat.

First time for a long time we went to this coffee shop in Guildford. Unfortunately we left it rather late as they were closing in 15 minutes. However, the young lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful and advised us to sit outside as that would give us more time. Toasted sandwich was fine and my wife's apple pie was very generous and must of been nice as she ate it all without offering me a taste! Next time we will go earlier so we can experience a greater choice of food.

I'd read so many reviews that said Coffee Culture make the best coffees in Guildford, and they were not wrong! My partner also said it's the best one he's tried by a country mile (and he doesn't even like coffee). I only wish the space was bigger 🤍

Absolutely delightful place, tucked away down a cobbled walkway of the High Street is this charming coffee shop. Sit outside under heated cover or sit inside, great place for a relaxing coffee/lunch break

Awful meal. Got a Turkey and pesto bagel and tomato and cheese toastie. Low quality, greasy ingredients. My Oreo milkshake tasted like water. I ignored the previous bad reviews, which I shouldn’t have. Waste of £24! Terrible place

Last saturday we chose Coffee Culture as we prefer to take breakfast local shops rather than the usual big chains. We arrived before 12 and have what is meant to be a glorious breakfast but until we arrrived to the cash, it was 11.55 am. Strangely, the cashier said that it was too late, I tried to convince and pleased her to still have the breakfast but no way so we needed to opt for something else despite everybody had the breakfast menu. At the end, the jacket potatoes and drink were OK but service was poor maybe because we went at the wrong time.

Very cozy place with the best coffee so far. I almost teared up when I saw that they have soup for lunch (not a common British thing, I hate to say). That was a lovely meal that warmed my soul. Just a tad bit of salt next time won't hurt 😉

Nice coffee and food but I find the inside a bit chaotic as it’s quite small! Go early if you want a relaxing coffee as it gets soo busy (which is of course a good thing!)

Needed a break from my ride from Brighton to Henley perfect safe parking for bike nice friendly staff, clean, all be it small toilet wash room area.

Great outside seating in the nice weather. Good menu choices for a light lunch and the food was served pretty quickly even though they were busy.

Being 100% Italian born and raised makes me extra picky in espresso, anywhere. But they prepare one of the best I found in the UK yet and the place is a little jewel: young a friendly staff; cute location in a quiet little pedestrian passage lane where they have outdoor tables with heaters for the cold days and under sun and rain protections; they offer freshly made cakes, soups, jack potatoes and different snacks…no wonder it is always very busy, definitely popular with locals and tourists alike, it is definitely my only spot when in town!

Coffee was all spilt so I didn’t get any which was a shame as I love this coffee. But the food was kept nicely warm.
