Third visit and the last now. Owner did not even respond when I greeted him with a " good morning " Cooked breakfast ordered, the bacon was returned as too hard to consume, couldn't find the mushrooms as so tiny . The food and fried eggs were like warm . The owner took my plate when passing from clearing another table and my husband was still eating his food, he then proceeded to lean across my husband to grab his tea cup. The same thing happened on our previous visit. Customer service and common courtesy lacking badly. The owner definitely not happy in his work.

Just paid £11.40 for 1x bacon and 1x sausage roll. Just a few doors down same items £6:60. Kind of feels like I was royally done. Just saying

The food - Eggs Royale - was gorgeous. Perfectly cooked. Flat white coffee excellent too. Relaxing atmosphere too. This was our first visit - we will definitely return.

Lovely coffee, served by welcoming and friendly counter staff, in a beautifully designed interior. Ordered a bacon baguette…bread was slightly stale and bacon had been cooked and stored in the fridge, and served cold. Sack your kitchen staff! So disappointing to be served such poor food!!!

Always a good breakfast if I’m passing

The guy was a bit rude and very dismissive - so not the greatest customer service in the world. There was a lady who had glasses who was lovely and bubbly and very nice, if it would not had been for her, I would have given 1 star. Food okish, lovely location and clean facilities.

Cake slices were delicious. All of their food options are available to-go also. Nice ambiance and outdoor seating available. Close to the road, so you can hear cars and loud exhausts sometimes. However, I would visit again.

Always fresh, always presented nicely. Lovely place to come to and eat a good breakfast meal. Hot chocolate is top too. Nice friendly staff behind the counter too. Can't go wrong.

I recently visited coffee & creams, and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee. The customer service was excellent, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Highly recommend!

Only criticism I can get was the person serving. Not very talkative felt like I was ordering from a brick. Really communicatfound that quite rude. But the work in the kitchen who bring the food out was friendly and polite.

Hi the food was cold and it has taken 1 hour from the food being prepared for delivery. The driver was not able to find us but we are 5 mins away from the cafe ! When requesting a refund for the food that was cold it would not let me add the second baguette and only refunded for one of the two baguettes.

Worst Jacket potatoes I’ve ever had - very small potatoes, no butter added, no cheese even though it was requested ( & paid for) and stone cold. Paid just under £7 per potato - complete rip off!

My friend and I have been going to this café everyday on our way back from walking our dogs (mine a service dog), and to begin with the owner/manager and staff were very friendly. Our last visit, however, has to be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. My friends dog knocked the table and our cups of coffee fell and broke- an unfortunate accident and one that has never happened to either of us before, perhaps the increase in the number of tables and chairs squeezed into the smallest space should have been a give away that this establishment was chasing money over friendliness and quality. Rather then simply help his staff and customers deal with the situation, the owner proceeded to inform us that we were “ruining my business” in the most whiny and petulant voice I have ever heard from a grown man. This was in front of other customers (who also looked shocked by the outburst) Needless to say I regret the £££ I’ve spent here and shall not be returning.

A nice friendly little Cafe with lovely staff. It is very bright store and clean, it’s a fantastic place for a catch up or a quick coffee.

Nice cafe, usually has a nice atmosphere. Sadly only one vegan option on the menu (a sandwich) and is was served with coleslaw which after asking we were told has egg and milk in it. I ordered the sandwich once and it had margarine in it. Not sure they really understand what vegan means! Not great. Vegan cake options are very unappetising.

Apparently a club sandwich has shed its normal meaning as a stacked toasted sandwich. It's just a sandwich, sucker. An £8 sandwich containing hummus and an over ripe dark avocado garnished with cheap crisps and a mountain with miniscule amount of the dreaded acidulated coleslaw. It also contained raw onion which was not requested. It came, or plonked, along with an Earl Grey tea which had clearly been stored near peppermint tea as I had to check the label. This was served down just in a cup, no pot. My teaspoon was mucky. My partner fared better with a scrambled egg/omelette type thing and a tiny amount of bacon on a toasted bun. Service was comical, no serviette for the lady, no saucer for the teabags. No cutlery for the lady, either. Very poor value at over twenty pounds. Its a no return from us.

I would bother going here we played nearly 20 pound for one bacon sandwich that had two pieces of horrible bacon and an egg and bacon half sandwich!

Have driven past this cafe lots of times, it looks inviting. I've visited twice now in the past few days. There are reviews with regard to the staff's attitude. My 2nd visit was today, I ordered a large warm soya latte and a croissant, the lady serving asked where I was sitting, apart from me there was only 1 seated customer ?? Anyways my coffee was hot 🔥 not warm, I asked the lady serving if she could put some cold milk in a small jug, It'll cool down you know .. was her reply, she put about a table spoon of milk in a jug, I asked if the milk was being rationed, you'll have to pay i got told.. Happy to say she half filled the jug and did not charge. Not impressed 😕

This place has gone downhill, food is expensive and terrible customer service!! Prices are expensive for what you get and it’s not worth it. I also don’t understand how staff can be so unprofessional and rude m, on mobile phones and taking money at the till….. NOT washing hands afterwards 🤮I won’t be coming back that’s for sure!

Where do I start about this absolute. We was passing by looking rather nice inside. And the start of our horror show begun. We ordered 2 breakfasts after 30 minutes our breakfast arrived. And the order was completely mixed up on both plates. They come back with our food and my breakfast after another 20 minutes of waiting and my food was stone cold freezing. The toast nearly crunched my back tooth out it’s was rock hard. My co worker who was working with me this day begun choking on the sausages that he ate and couldn’t continue he’s breakfast saying it was a horrific taste. They have young staff who don’t have a brain between them and it’s like talking to a zombie. NEVER AGAIN !!!

Appalling service and food a terrible waste of money. Ok for a coffee but don't bother ordering food! Won't go back.

Visited for the first time today and certainly won't be going back! Absolutely awful customer service from the man who appeared to be in charge. He was rude to us, his own staff and a poor elderly woman who simply questioned the price of her drinks. "Hurry up and make her drinks, so this woman can leave and never come back" were his words that were most shocking. Vile.

I’ve just reminded myself again why I shouldn’t come to this establishment. The customer service is poor and certainly gone down hill. The owner sitting on phone while 3 members of staff took ages to make coffee. There was no smile when ordered and no apology for the wait.

Yes this place has changed. Poor customer service. Long wait for food and drink. Just look at this flat white. I was served £3.15 joke.

Customer Service has gone down hill over the past year or so. No attention to detail. Recent visit I was at a table for lunch with family and ordered a tea with my food. Never arrived and when I asked where it was I was given a tea in a takeaway cup as an afterthought. Clearly this tea wasn’t intended for me, but was given it anyway/. We Asked for glasses for juice, ice, Etc. Which should have been given at the time, as well as napkins. Food is expensive for Caterham, so you’d expect the service to match it, but sadly it has fallen very short.

Really nice place especially when it is sunny and all windows/doors are kept open. Very nice coffee too but my croissant was as good as the Tesco premade ones.

Absolutely love this place! The staff are always so welcoming and make the extra effort with people. They remember faces and make you feel so at home. The food is great too, if you visit you won’t regret it.

Lovely place to meet up with friends and have a coffee and a chat. Staff are very friendly and they don't rush you to leave. Lovely and clean and lots of lovely smells coming from the kitchen. Would definitely recommend.

If you arrive 40 min before closing time just like us be prepared to receive the worst customer care ever. The young grumpy lady with piercing in her nose didn’t even give us a chance to order. She immediately said “only take away. We are closing soon”. (?) I felt like running away from there straight away, but instead I challenged her saying we still had time, so we would have our coffee and cake. She made us feel very uncomfortable. To make things worse, the chocolate cake was rather dry, so I asked to exchange it for the strawberry cake when this other lady stepped in and started to argue with me saying that the cake was fresh and that didn’t make any sense in an extremely defensive and arrogant way. Let alone everything there is so OVERPRICED. I wonder if this older lady was the owner of the place. I bet not! Who had the bad idea of hiring this pathetic and unprofessional person? After 10 min being there this woman started to rush us by putting the chairs up , cleaning the place. I should imagine a business does that after closing their doors and with no customers inside. Do not recommend this place at all. Appalling customer care!

Do you ever browse Deliveroo and just think oooooo I’ll try there? Well tonight was an absolute WIN!! I’m regular at Coffee & Creams as is the wife and mother in law … I mean Jesus we all go there! We’ve been desperate to try the evening menu but with a 14mth old it’s hard to get that date. Well low and behold whilst perusing my favourite delivery app … BOOM … there it is Coffee & Creams. Pizzas ordered, 35mins at the door, pipping hot and delivered with a smile and friendly face, we sit tuck in and couldn’t be happier! Great food, great price, great service. Don’t be late to the party …. Give it a go!!

Visited a while ago and remembered having one of the best coffees I’d ever had. I was slightly worried it wouldn’t live up to my memory. It did!!! Amazing coffee, great food, friendly staff and a really nice atmosphere. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

Please offer customers the bottle of ketchup rather than a pathetic squeeze into an extremely wasteful and environmentally damaging bulk-bought plastic pot. Seemed like a bit of a sad attempt at saving a few pence on condiment use. Customer satisfaction should surely be a priority? For the price we paid it seemed we didn’t get very much food. The bagel had chopped up bacon rather than actual rashers - it was clear that it was another way to save on costs and ingredients. When charging £6 for this, I expect more. A few leaves of rocket and very milky scrambled egg. No salt or pepper was given until we had got half way through the food, and even then they only brought a pot of pepper. Knives and forks plonked on the end of the table. Not much courtesy from waiting staff. Nice enough place but we left disappointed.

Nice little coffee shop. With a relaxing cozy atmosphere. Although I didn't eat there, there is a nice selection of breakfast and lunch options. They also do ice-cream and waffles. They also have out door seating.

I enjoy coming to coffee and creams it's a great local business. I usually go for the occasional breakfast coffee or spot of lunch. The menu is quite narrow and limited but the food that comes out is well presented and prepared very well. The service is good, I've come accustomed to grumps, the chap I think that runs it, bless him he does try to crack a smile! But it goes without question all the staff are courteous and respectful. The cafe itself seems very well run with a community feel. Keep up the good work.

Went for breakfast with my wife and 2 children. Menu was very limited and over priced for what we had. Bacon,sausage and egg were burnt and that was just on my plate. My children's waffles just seemed to disintegrate as soon as you cut into them and my wife's poached eggs were more of a hard boiled egg with no runny yolk. Such a shame as my wife was really looking forward to trying this place. Won't be back.

Had the worst sandwhich ever ! it was chicken doused in so much barbeque sauce, the sandwhich was really soggy. Wait - there was more :chutney and tomato and a slice of cheese in it too ! The worst combination ever. I keep going here thinking am supporting the local shops - but honestly this is not the first time my food turned out to be so bad.

Non plussed Manager (who is also the owner), who made no effort to even acknowledge me when I walked up to the counter, only acknowledged and served me once I had asked for something. Apparently he was 'sorting other bits out first'. Product served was overpriced, under portioned £4.40 for two tiny scoops of ice cream. First and last visit. Staff who work for owner are pleasant and polite though, something he should learn from.

A lovely location however the staff leave a lot to be desired. Not at all friendly or welcoming. The hot chocolate was very bland and the food is pretty overpriced for what it is. The cake was nice but I could get it for cheaper if I bought it from costco myself… would love it if the ice cream flavours had labels but not sure I’ll be back to try them.

I am a regular customer with usually no complaints however the way I was spoken to today was appalling, I ordered 3 meals and 3 drinks and the drinks took 40 minutes to come with the waiter accusing me of having never ordered them. The manager was appalling shouting and coming across rude and aggressive. I couldn’t believe the way they chose to treat paying customers and have never had some horrible customer service in any other cafes. I will NOT be returning.

Nice lil cafe. Very friendly staff. I liked the taste of cappuccino ☕️ the coffee beans felt like premium quality. Their breakfast menu looked good but not much variety in waffles which is what they publicise outside... there were not much options. I expected freshly made waffle but it was Belgian waffle from a pack and a cold one which is why four star not five . I will probably visit again to try out egg avo toast and specially to have that cappuccino again.

I’ve passed it several times and finally decided to head in and try this place out today. Lots of potential in the place but first impressions are uninspiring. Seems a bit overpriced and menu system confusing. Basic things like ice cream labels are missing (I guess you just select by colour?!). Waffles on the board outside but took a while to find the option on the menu. Cake selection again was limited and didn’t look all that appetising. It’s not bad though and is in a good spot with a lack of alternatives. Warrants a second visit.

Much like England’s performance playing Scotland, this place has a lot of promise but lacklustre in its execution of good food ideas and coffee. Food ideas are great; the food itself varies between ok and good enough; the coffee is weak and tasteless - I might as well put half a teaspoon of instant in a cup myself. The owner never ever smiles or gives eye contact. He seems miserable in general. His staff seem nicer and at least apologise when food is slow to arrive. Perhaps it is stress and that is understandable. But if that’s the measure, he’s always stressed. Always miserable. And he’s not helping his business to sustain itself. Last time I was here my waffles and food were burnt. Still ate it because you want to give independent places a chance, especially during COVID times. Today my food took ages because there was an ‘incident in the kitchen.’ When it came eventually, it was hot yes, but flavourless. Coffee again was weak. This place wants to be a great cafe and it’s frustrating to see a place with so much promise, in such a great sun trap location, deliver poor food, drink and service. Good service and food means customers return. Unfortunately I’ve given it three to four chances, and so has my partner; we pay prices that expect better quality. But we are always disappointed. Not returning.

Lovely, friendly coffee shop. Delicious cakes and sandwiches, the Salt Beef Club is a personal favourite! The staff are truly wonderful here and their current takeaway service during lockdown has been a lifeline as a new Mum.
