If you are looking for a coffee shop that will give you the best value for your money and more, Cafe Nero in Maidenhead high st will not disappoint. Manisha along with her team are always ready to serve gladly with spectacular tasting beverages. Everyone from the team has the heart of hospitality which makes my visits very heartwarming and memorable. Aside from that, they have a very good sense when it comes to recommendations so even if you are a first timer or not well versed with what you wanna get, that won’t be a big of a problem at all. The place is fairly small but it’s a good place to stop by if you wanna relax or find some quiet place to do your work. It’s easy to find and the ranges of drinks are the best value for the money. Can’t recommend it enough.

When the baristas get the order right it’s a great experience but often I will have a coffee in & take away piece of cake 9 times out of 10 I arrive home with lemon drizzle cake instead of banana and walnut cake (I dislike lemon drizzle cake greatly) since it isn’t cheap, don’t think I will go back, used to go 2/4 times a week for breakfast & brunch.

This is one of the better chain coffee shops. the atmosphere is good and you don't ever feel hurried when you take your time over your coffee. Staff are friendly and it stocks the usual coffee shop cakes and pastries.

I've been going to this branch for quite a while with family and friends and I always found a smiling welcome from the staff, very attentive and courteous with the service. The best place in Maidenhead for a coffee break or a quick snack. Valter

sat here now in my local Nero, thought I would try the Luxury Black Forest Roulade, OMG, it must be theworst interpretation of a BFG I have ever had, beware people all is not what it seems ...

Been numerous times with friends the staff have been very unfriendly and seem very judgmental about people and have now lost a number of people though how they have treated there customers rude and talk about us in a different laugh shame at it was a lovely place otherwise

Took the first opportunity to visit and drink and eat inside. Still the best coffee shop. Friendly staff, with a small selection of cakes but I'm sure that this will improve. At last proper coffee mugs and crockery. Looks like we are getting back to normal

Numerous occasions have turned up during my lunch break with friends to find a back in 20 minutes sign on door !! No mention of what time the sign was put on door !! Literally have stood outside with other customers in a queue just to see the staff member sitting on step in an office doorway smoking roll ups !!! Happened 3 times in past couple weeks .

Excellent coffee and light snacks. It has a great friendly atmosphere which is helped by the always friendly staff. My first choice of coffee shops in Maidenhead town centre.

I visit occasionally and have always found the staff and service lovely. However on this one occasion my caramellatte did not taste quite right. I told the male barista who flat out refused to do anything about it . Not even an apology. In fact he kept stating there was nothing wrong with the coffee and I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Went in to Maidenhead Cafe for lunch today and found it hard to get a seat as there seems to be a large group of people possibly a club who just have one coffee each and several glasses of water and sit in a circle taking up all the chairs. I have found this happens on a Tuesday and Saturday. I feel you are losing business in allowing this.

I had a quick lunch with a warm panini and coffee. More focused on good coffee than food and that´s fine by me.

We stopped by Cafe Nero for a quick cold drink and we were pleasantly surprised. There was a small queue that shortened quickly and the drinks arrived within a few minutes. I was impressed that the iced coffee came in a glass rather than plastic! The seating is comfortable and relaxed and it has a homely atmosphere. The latte was excellent and the pastry, delicious!

Stopped off here after walking the Thames Path on our way to our B&B. Lovely cup of coffee served by very friendly staff. That would have been it, but the following morning our B&B served up some awful coffee, so stopped off on our way back to the Path to gird ourselves for the coming day's walking. Another excellent cup of coffee again served by friendly staff. Very good atmosphere in the cafe.

This Nero has its own identity that comes from the unique qualities of its staff. A regular base for many locals

The staff make this place. It isn't the decor really, but you can sit outside or inside. The large windows inside are good for sitting by and watching the shoppers go by in the precinct, with comfy chairs along each window. The toilet lets it down a little as people do come in to use it and it is unisex, so it can smell at times. Staff however, have created a family atmosphere, and chat to locals as if they have known them for years. Warm hearted coffee.

This really is the best coffee shop in town. The coffee and selection of cakes is excellent but what really makes it is the so friendly staff. They are such nice friendly people. Great place.

I thoroughly enjoyed a lovely cappuccino here last week. The happy waitress greeted us well with “hello you lovely ladies” while she cleaned the table we had chosen. The cappuccino was fabulous tasting as well so I am extremely glad that I waited a few minutes until there was a free table so I could really enjoy another visit to Caffe Nero.

The best coffee shop, certainly in Maidenhead and perhaps further afield. Why? Well the coffee is good and the sn acks are OK but it really is the friendly staff that makes the visit a real pleasure.

Came to have a coffee, asked for flat white which at the end was all over the cup as too much was poured in and then there was no place to sit. 3 people behind the bar, but no one is cleaning the tables so you have to do it by yourself.

This is the best Caffe Nero around, not because of the coffee and cakes, which are fairly standard with other Nero's but because of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere generated by the wonderful staff.

Caffe Nero knocks every other coffee shop for six. The coffee is the best and the food is very good, but what marks this coffee shop above the others is the quality of the staff. They are efficient and oh so very friendly. They quickly know their 'regulars' by name. The BEST!

Staff unhelpful, tables outside full of unkept smokers man of whom don't buy coffee. Inside of coffee shop dirty with litter. Pastries run out at 4:15pm.

Excellent visit to Caffe Nero on Saturday for pre birthday coffee and cake with friends. Anca and her team gave me flowers and card which was a lovely surprise! Caffè Nero, Maidenhead will always be my first choice. Many thanks Sandra

Yo siempre vamos a Nero en preferencia a otras cadenas de café debido a su doble en cada shot café, pero con el tiempo su café tiene más débiles. No sé lo que están haciendo, pero ahora necesito un extra shot en su café! Aún así la cadena de café en mi opinión. Uno siempre la maidenhead buen servicio y una buena selección de comida disponible.

I recently enjoyed an espresso coffee here with a personal assistant. The coffee tasted as strong as a typical Italian espresso and the friendly service was excellent.

I love the Caffe Nero coffee, but here it is served up with a smile and a very welcoming atmosphere. It really is the staff that put this Nero above the rest.

Coffee ok, food ok, not overpriced. Sitting by the window might make you think you're in a goldfish bowl.

Stopped in for a cappuccino and a biscuit. The place was a lot cleaner than some I've been in and service was very quick and efficient. Very nice coffee. Knocked a star off because of the price. These people do know how to charge but would still recommend

I really enjoyed drinking an espresso here and my personal assistant also enjoyed drinking a cappuccino. The service here is exceptional because as usual the cheerful staff were very helpful.

My work takes me to various towns. I always arrange to meet my colleagues before the meeting with our clients or potential clients. We always meet at a Nero's. They are easy to spot, always well located and te service is speedy enough to allow us to get served quickly with a good cup of coffee and a light snack. So we go into the meeting refreshed and relaxed ready for the hard sell. I have been to the Madenhead branch on a number of occasions. It is spacious. It is at the heart of the town. It is close to a multi-storey car park. It is a great example for this excellent chain.

Yes, it may be part of a chain but this coffee shop is outstanding. The coffee is excellent , the food is usual coffee shop fare but is very good, but it is the staff who make this a cut above the others. The are always bright and cheerful and will bring your order to your table, if required. I am not surprised that this shop has received a Certificate of Excellence.

Caffe Nero never disappoints with it's coffee, simply the best! We visit here frequently and always enjoy.

I really enjoyed lunch here recently. I chose the "all day breakfast" baguette which was sausage, egg and tomato as the filling. It was absolutely delicious. I loved it.

i always stopped here when going from hotel to work. Staff are good and the coffee is fantastic. Grab a loyalty card. Also great place to sit and work or chat. Food choice is excellent as well

The Maidenhead branch of Caffè Nero is conveniently situated at the entrance to the Nicholson Shopping Centre opposite M&S. A pleasant branch with seating inside and out, and very friendly staff. A good selection of food is also available. Worth a visit!

Once again I enjoyed a very tasty and strong espresso coffee here. It was so refreshing and enjoyable. Very good and friendly service as well. I will always go back there.

I'm a regular visitor to this Caffe Nero. I vote it the best coffee shop in Maidenhead. I plead guilty to being one of the 'moronic inhabitants' of Maidenhead who clearly agree with me as it is always busy. The coffee is excellent and the cakes and snacks are very good. The staff are what really make it a place to come back to. They are always very friendly, even when rushed off their feet and if you are a regular, they know your order.

What do you expect ? It's formulaic characterless bad coffee shop - so very popular with the moronic inhabitants of this town.

One of my favourite places for tea or coffee and/or lunch. Excellent service and lovely food and drinks. Also there are tables outside which is great on a sunny day.

Perfectly drinkable coffee and the wifi works. However, everything is sticky to the point that there are many flies circulating.

Very busy I avoid mid day, but enjoy a coffee whilst sat reading my paper, staff helpful. My husband is not as mobile as he used to be. So was grateful to be assisted with his drinks to the table.

I'm a regular visitor to this coffee shop and think it is the best in Maidenhead. The staff are friendly and welcoming and service is usually fairly quick. Coffee is good and there is a good selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches on sale. Although, clearly English is not the first language of the staff members but I have never had any problem with communication. (A comment on a recent review - there is no upstairs so have they got the right restaurant?)

Very familiar with the brand, but this was my first trip to this branch. The coffee was very good, but the freshly baked pain au raisin was one if the nicest I've had for a long time: highly recommended.

Staff couldn't understand what I said. I had to repeat myself more than once enunciating each word very clearly. (I was surprised as I don't have a regional accent and am known for communicating well with people whose mother tongue is not English.) Using this method didn't work eg the assistant said she hadn't any more of the Moroccan chicken panini left so I picked one up from the counter for her to heat. I then said I couldn't read the small print on the board and could she explain what infusions were on offer. she didn't understand what infusions were and had to refer me to another member of staff. He didn't initially understand but when he did rattled them off very quickly and all I heard was ginger, so assumed it would be ginger and lemon. As I sipped it I realised it wasn't, it was ginger and peach - ugg! I went back to the counter to ask what it was. Sadly no one asked if I wanted to change it. I asked a member of staff if I was speaking too softly and was this why I couldn't be understood, and raised my voice to help. His response was that yes there was plenty of room upstairs if I wanted to eat there. At this point I gave up, and certainly will not be returning.Having spent five days in Paris where all catering staff spoke excellent English, even though it was not their mother tongue, I expected better back in England.Food was just a calorie filler, and I didn't rate the taste and it wasn't that warm. I suspect as I had to wait a time for it to arrive at the table it had been left on the side and forgotten about.I would have spoken direct to a manager but no one appeared to have that role. I tried filling in the feedback form online but it wouldn't allow me to proceed because I haven't retained my receipt.

I call into Cafe Nero around 2 -3 times each week. The staff there always acknowledge my husband and myself with a quick hello, nice to see you again, what can we get you today?The staff never fail to produce two cups of great cappuccino coffee (one cup being decaffeinated) of which, you can actually taste the strength and flavour of the coffee beans in both cups. The staff take care to place two teaspoons into the saucer of the decaffeinated coffee ensuring it is easily identified on the serving tray.Any food you order is brought to your table quickly, the sandwiches have ample fillings and anything toasted is always piping hot.They have a good range of cakes on offer, can recommend the Red Velvet Cake.Tables are cleared quickly even though some lunchtimes the cafe is extremely busy.When leaving, the staff always thank us for visiting.

Clearly no training. Grinder was clearly completely out of whack. Espresso ran through at 10 times the speed it should have result dish water. Nero do you offer staff inductions?

I was at Cafe Nero Sutton last Sunday at 0945 prior to the shops opening their doors to shoppers.Outside it was a sunny day with 21C and rising. Entering the coffee shop to the cool air of the air condition machine.The shop had a few arm chair seats with coffee tables and a number of wooden tables and chairs.At the time of my arrival it was not busy yet, a few customers were reading the Sunday papers, others were on their computers, while a few were just relaxing and chatting.The service is self service order your coffee, food, pay, take a seat and enjoy it all.The young lady who served me with Cappuccino and almond croissant did it pretty quickly and professionally.The coffee tasted excellent and the almond croissant was fresh and warm also tasted pretty amazing.All in all a nice break at Cafe Nero, I look forward to my next visit.

A very standard Cafe Nero - coffee and food are acceptable, what you would expect from a chain coffee shop. but on my visit the service was very slow. There was no process for service each customer, the staff were all working to serve on customer, getting confused and eventually completing the order. I would have left but I had a voucher so put up with this to get my free coffee but won't rush back.
