Burger King in Portsmouth

Dry burgers not hot 😩 Tables uncleared and rubbish on the floor. A dump. Staff lethargic. Not the standard one would expect in a prestigious location. Would not go again

Food was ok but the service was very poor. 2 out of the 3 dispensing drink machines were completely out, and the remaining drink dispenser only had full fat regular Coke, with no flavours. When I pointed this out to the staff they just walked away and shrugged. I asked for something else and they provided me with 250ml Capri Sun (Only had black current) which is a child's drink, with paper straw to drink with. Surely they should have been aware and should have informed the customers of the issues prior to completing the purchase or at the very minimum a sign to that effect would have done. I will not be going back there again.

Went here with my family the place was a mess rubbish all inside and outside. Didn’t even have any cold drinks so had to order a coffee on a hot day. Staff should be wearing gloves as they handle your food I didn’t eat my food as there was a hair in my mc chicken sandwich will never go here again.

Service was ok , but food was really poor. It would not let us do meal deal (you have to book on the screen ) as it kept saying not available so it cost £22.00 for x2 really soggy chicken burgers with half a lettuce leaf and cold chips which tasted as if the had been heated over and over .

worst fast food outlet i have experienced - place was disgusting, staff rude, food cold and poorly prepared. salad was old and hardly anything in the sandwiches. no fizzy drinks or ice cream. Company should be ashamed of themselves.

AVOID AVOID AVOID ! I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger at Burger King, Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. The male member of staff kept addressing me as "love" in a slimy tone like some throwback to the 1970s - just ugh! I was handed the burger I had ordered and took it away. The burger was utterly rancid: Firstly it was cold. The bread roll was rock hard around the edges, stale, and inedible. The cheese slice was rock hard around the edges and was inedible. The burger was so cold the middle of the cheese slice hadn't melted. The bacon consisted of a single tiny rasher which was cold and congealed in lumps of fat. It had obviously been sat around for some time before being served - it certainly had NOT been made fresh and the state of it made me wonder if it had been made several days ago. As I really didn't want a second encounter with the slimy sexist male I threw it in the nearest bin - it was disgusting and unfit for human consumption. This place should come with a health hazard warning !

This review only relates to the purchase of hot drinks. We ordered on the digital ordering platform because there did not appear to be any alternative. I do not like this method of ordering and feel that not to have an alternative could be interpreted as discriminatory. Service has been rated as "Terrible", because there is only a minimal service element involved. The drinks were of average quality and the "Dairy Free" tea is basically black tea with no alternative type of milk. Our experience on this visit does not encourage us to return.

Decided to eat here as we don't have a Burger King in our home town and we prefer it to other chains. We shouldn't have bothered. Ordered no issue although claimed that drinks were out of stock on the instore ordering platform, but the drinks were available on the screen. The restaurant felt dirty and there did not seem enough staff to serve and clean. The food was hot (bonus) and tasty however both myself and my wife did not feel great later in the evening or following day. We had not eaten anywhere else after so can only attribute it to the food or lack of cleanliness encountered

Came here today, refillable drinks were flat. I bought a big whopper and about an hour or 2 later I started feeling sick and was violently sick in public, and twice after that. Clearly the workers aren't washing their hands between preparing food and possibly cross contaminating. Disgusting standards either way. Will never go back, workers need to sort themselves out.

Food was typical of a fast food place. Luke warm and very little flavour. 20£ for 3 people. Reastaurant was clean and bright. Service was fairly good.

Went there with my family. They didn't have anything that was suitable for our baby with a milk allergy (mostly sold out), when we asked for some hot water to warm a meal up for her that we had brought along we were told no on safety grounds? Really???

Absolutely Disgusting service today. Thought I’d get my son a Quick snack for lunch. Well 25 mins waiting time for one meal!! and abuse from toxic customer (ok not their fault) but not dealt with at all. Place was so disorganised and in utter chaos….. one girl stood behind counter looking like she’s on her 1st day there. Not really doing anything at all. The ordering boards just bought more chaos as the orders just kept flooding in. Just as I went to ask for a refund, my order was ready. Said we didn’t have time to eat-in anymore. So got it bagged. 1/4 of fries left on tray with server asking if we wanted them before she put them in bin!!! Just wanted to get out of there!! My Boy ( 9 yrs old) opened his burger and just said, is this it? It’s Tiny compared to the pic. Can only say, it’s gonna be close to Never before visiting this store again.

I appreciate we visited at lunchtime but it was absolutely bonkers. Only a couple of the ordering machines were working which caused hold ups. The tables were dirty, the upholstery shabby/torn. 1 member of staff was walking about without attempting to clean the tables. In 10 mins all I saw him do was straighten some chairs up. Hygiene was poor.

I'm not a big fan of Macdonalds, however, it's palatial in comparison with with this Burger King. In one unfortunate visit with my family, this franchise has put us off for life. Firstly, the touch screen order machines were out of order, secondly they told us they had no water to drink, thirdly at least two of the chefs were not wearing long hair nets, fourthly the drinks refill machines were not working properly. In addition to all of the above, we found the toilets had no toilet paper, the gents toilet was filthy and had no soap in the dispensers. A poor show all round...not recommended. ☹

Not sure why the overall score of this Burger King is so bad. For us it was a normal visit in the normal fast food restaurant. Machines to place the order worked, the order was prepared quickly, the staff members were friendly, food was ok...

We went here while at Gunwharf Quays and I got a Whopper meal. Fast service, presented okay and tasted nice. Much better than many other Burger Kings. It wasn't too busy either, but probably will get busier on other days. Other than that would recommend.

I haven't been to a Burger King for years as I remembered them being dirty places usually serving warm rather than really hot food. Well it seems nothing has changed if this branch is anything to go by!
