Best service I’ve had in a while (thanks to mannok - great guy) and the best beer in town. Banging.

Always like it here, good bar to share more than a few pints. Shout out to Sam and Charlotte who are doing a great job on a chilled Thursday.

I love Brewdog, and have been to their Camden, Edinburgh and Oxford branches on multiple occasions (soon to be going to their new one in Las Vegas). Unfortunately, the service in Reading's branch is pretty awful. I waited 15 minutes at the bar while the two people behind said bar did everything else other than serve or acknowledge me! While I was at the bar another customer came up to advise that due to waiting over an hour for some food, they were leaving without paying, and another table of guys got up and left without paying. I overheard one of them apologise to the one fella they left as apparently they'd only met one week previous. Not recommended, sadly.

Have visited this brewdog many times with friends and never had a bad experience. Last night however we ordered wings and beers…the wings were some of the best I’ve ever had - large, crispy, succulent. Divine. Credit to the kitchen team, and also to Alicia for wonderful and friendly service

Don't do the food. An hour wait, kids portion sizes tiny, didn't get everything that's listed on the menu, would swerve in the future!

My partner and I were gifted a burger and beer voucher and thoroughly enjoyed redeeming this. We enjoyed the food and opted to play rock, paper, scissors for a free dessert (we won). This is a great no strings offer that we were dubious of at first but turned out to be 100% genuine. We ended our night with a beer flight and found the staff recommendations (from Sam, Lucas and Mollie) to be exceptional. We told them our tastes and they matched them spot on. The beer flight was really reasonably priced. We had such a fun night and would come back. We also really enjoyed the beer and cheese tasting experience, which was led by Lucas on a different occasion but we recognised him as it was such a fun experience and Lucas shared his expert beer knowledge with us!

Great food and service, we were served by Sam and he was excellent! We will definitely be coming back for the deep fried Oreos as they were 10/10.

I have never been so happy with a restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious! The patriot burger was 10/10 and the beef was cooked to perfection! I decided to try the loaded fries inside of standard fries. These were unreal. I will definitely be returning again soon! Thank you to everyone cooks the food at Brewdog!

I have visited BrewDog Reading on a number of occasions recently and have had a fantastic experience. The potato puffs are excellent and there is a large and varied selection of beers. The service is attentive and friendly, I was served by Liberty who picked out a great beer upon asking for a recommendation. Moreover, the U25s evening on Sunday from 4pm is great value at 50% off all food and drink, the overall vibe is cosy and rustic with a lively buzz. Would recommend.

Good selection of beers, spirits and strong pre made cocktails. Food has improved a lot over the last few years, recommend the Korean BBQ wings. Really cool staff too, and good seating options.

Outstanding food today! I love Mac n Cheese and the one I had today was unbelievable, I will definitely be coming back for that! We did not have to wait long at all, drinks were great and there was a good atmosphere here too. Thank you all for a great lunch, we will 100% be coming back especially for the food!!

Theres lots of different beers available. Food tastes great and isn't too expensive. The staff are very friendly, especially Liberty.

Been here twice now for ‘unlimited wings Wednesday’, both times have been advised by staff there are ‘issues’ in the kitchen about the wings. We sat for 2 hours and got 10 wings each, I shaved just before to avoid buffalo sauce getting everywhere, by the time the wings arrived I took the selfie attached. It most definitely is not all you can eat wings like described. Once is understandable, twice is not. Terrible.

Decided to give wings Wednesday a try at Brewdog in Reading. Seemed like a great deal to be had. Got served the first plate of wings, what were really good. As it’s all you can eat, I asked for some more. What was put in front of my friend and I was awful I got the buffalo Cauliflower, it was soggy and inedible, completely put me off eating anything else. My friend had the buffalo chicken wings and they were nothing like the previous dish we had just been served. Never again will I do wings Wednesday, not in Reading anyway.

Proper Pub, good choice of beers, has food I'd return

Never open when it says it is! tried to go for lunch on saturday at 12pm and it was closed, says it opens at 11? what is the issue?

1.great beer 2.two of our party of 4 had finnished thier mains before we had ours after 2 complaints. 3. Then the food was cold. 4. This is the 3rd time we have had sub-standard and cold food. Why?? Pretty shoddy for a generally great beer venue.

Food was of lower quality and taste as compared to other Brewdog pubs I have been to. Service was also exceptionally SLOW

In a letter seen by the Guardian, the brewer and bar operator, which is best known for its Punk IPA beer, said new workers were being hired on the legal minimum wage of £10.42 an hour for those aged 23 and over. This is below the independently verified living wage of £10.90 that existing staff get. Pay for workers outside London will increase to £11.44 an hour from 1 April, in line with the new legal minimum for those aged 21 and over. However, that will be below the new real living wage of £12 an hour that accredited employers pledge to pay from April.

Awful service and staff that couldn’t care less when customers aren’t having a great experience. Food and drinks were ordered at 19:26, order not delivered until 20:20. Simple order for two - hoppy meal and wings with mac and cheese. Went to chase the order twice (for drinks even), were simply told that they were coming. The place wasn’t even half full and the staff were walking around on their phones - clearly top tier customer service. This review only mirrors the majority of the reviews most recently left; clearly a true testament to the current operations of the bar.

Stuffed my face with dirty fries and had a nice selection of booze in a paddle. Jack is my all time fave!!!

Good vibe. Chicken wings priced at £11.45 for a regular. Shocked I only had 7 (single) wings. Got 4 drums and 3 flats. They were crispy battered wings, buffalo version. Disappointed when they came out. Very small in size per wing. Looks like the same size you get from the supermarket. Shame really as this place rave about their wings and even have a wing Wednesday event. Flavour was good but really not worth the money. Beer was good as always

Love the beers on the tap there. It's very refreshing and tastes great. They also have some games to play, pet friendly.

Having to wait over an hour for a couple of burgers is so poor. Asking staff what's going on as can't see food being brought out during our time here. Apparently the staff are more than happy with food taking over an hour to be served is fine with them. Hope they go hungry too.

Ordered a portion of chips which took almost an hour to come out the kitchen and then were really oily and unpleasant. Beer is okay but overpriced. Pretty disappointing overall.

Good burgers and a wide range of beers

Overpriced food and soft drinks and not of the quality you expect when paying so much. Took nearly 50 minutes for a salad to come out, and a little longer for the burgers and lukewarm fries. Watching people who came in after us get their food (however I watched as their food also arrived ages apart, one man finished his burger as his friends arrived.) 330ml coke cost £4 are you kidding me? The money you pay is for the beer or brand only. Staff are practically mute with zero energy in them. Place looks nice at least and they allow dogs, only good points. Tea and coffee came with sugar but without spoons, stirred with knives. All of this on a relatively quiet weekday no less.

Poor quality food, service and communicatiom at inflated prices. It is one of the only paces in Reading that accepts dogs. Nice vibe/decor.

The burger was nice, however the chips that came with it were near room temp and were cold before I could finish them. It also took about 50mins from ordering to get our meal. When you watch people who came in after you getting their food and leaving, it sucks. Overall, come here if you want a Brewdog drink. This isn't a resturaunt, it's a place to upsell chicken wings and burgers at an above market price.

Great bar with a good selection of beers. There are also bar games to keep younger kids and adults entertained.

I took my fighter there for her 18th Birthday on Christmas eve as I thought she would find it cool, it was dead which was a shame at 7pm on Christmas eve, I thought it would be busier. The girl behind the bar was a lovely, bubbly and polite, the service was good but the food wasn't great, I had a plant based chicken burger with avocado. There was very small amount of mashed avocado, no salad and it the chicken was dry as a bone, I had to cover it in mayonnaise to make it palatable. Very disappointed 😞

Great atmosphere, in another cool building. Table was booked for food but wasn't really big enough to seat 5. Also no cutlery or napkins on the table so had to ask for them. Waited a while for food but once it arrived it was good as usual.

Finally, this great old building in Reading gets the owner it deserves. Great beer, great food, great service. Gets VERY busy on the Friday and Saturday nights, mind.

We always love it here, the team are very welcoming, atmosphere is good and food is great. They’re always so welcoming to our pup too, it’s one of the most dog friendly places in Reading.

I went in for Wings Wednesday and it was very busy - our first order took an hour to come to the table, I think the kitchen was really backed up. But Alissya and Angus working the upstairs were brilliant - keeping us updated, bringing our beers and food as quickly as they could. Thank you to them!

Crazily understaffed on a Saturday evening. One person working the bar for a venue of this size is madness. Long queues, forgotten food orders, chaos all round.

Great beer, a load of beer you can't find in the shops and a good atmosphere, will definitely be going back to try some more of the menu.

My experience at BrewDog Reading with a group of 20 people was nothing short of fantastic. Despite booking on short notice, the staff was incredibly accommodating, securing a spacious area for us. Friendly staff, great food, and an impressive selection of craft beers, it is the ultimate choice for gatherings with friends and family. Highly recommend!

Great variety of beers Chicken wings were the best. Very slow service

Pub is fine. I ordered the Buffalo chicken burger, it was stone cold. Unfortunately we were tight for time and the server was nowhere to be seen. I praying I would be ok the next day and I was.

Wings wed is always slow but this was inexplicably so, and then several wings were still raw. Staff very apologetic and nice but I don't understand how a weekly event that you have to book can be run so poorly everytime. Tables round us having similar problems with wait times for refills so long people cancelled and first orders of wings taking 45min+ to arrive.

Not the cheapest burger in the world, but it was very good. Surprisingly good app.ordering from our table too.

Just stopped in for a beer, really relaxing atmosphere

Arrived at about 6pm. Pub was about half full. Great selection of beer. Had a patriot Burger which was very tasty. Left about 90 minutes later, when pub was quite busy. Service at bar could be a bit slow, could have been better with three bar staff instead of two.

This brewdog has got some of the nicest staff around. They will help you taste any beers they have, the food is excellent, and the venue is always cheery and enjoyable. Plus.. They are dog friendly... So doggos!

We went for the Bottomless Wings this week, having seen ads both online and in a sign out on the street the previous week. Firstly the staff were all really lovely - both at the bar and at our table, any time we interacted with staff members they were helpful, relatable and friendly. And this was despite what was clearly a very busy night. The food - the wings - were also of a very high standard. We had both normal chicken wings and seitan 'wings' in both the hot wing sauce and the Korean BBQ flavours. The seitan wings were not massively our style, but they were tasty and well cooked. The normal wings were beautifully cooked and delicious. We also had a couple of pints each of the house cider which was great. Unfortunately that's were the good points end. We were quite disappointed by the 'bottomless wings' experience. Despite a fairly high price, we didn't actually receive all that many wings in the end, and those we did receive we basically had to beg for. Once you are seated, you are able to order 10 wings per person. You are then informed that you can 'order more wings 5 at a time per person, once you are finished'. What wasn't explained was how to order more wings, or how long those wings would take to come. After trying for about 15 minutes to flag down a member of staff, we figured out more wings needed to be ordered at the bar. We placed an order for 5 more wings each (asking for 1 order of seitan and one of cauliflower) and after 20 or 30 minutes received an order of chicken and seitan. No cauliflower. Again the food was nice, but ultimately in our 2 hour slot we just about managed to have the initial portion of 10 wings, and an additional order of 5. We weren't there to eat crazy massive portions, but the event is advertised as 'bottomless' and I can't see how it could be possible to match some of the boldly advertised 'high scores' with such restrictions. It's unfortunate, because had we been able to order a couple more portions, or had things been better explained, or had the orders come quicker, this would have felt like good value and I would been singing it's praises in recommendation. As it stands, it was just a relatively expensive portion of wings.

Disappointing and depressing and experience. We came to a nearly empty pub on a Saturday night, so not busy. Beers ok...you know how they taste as you can buy them for less in the shops. Ordered some wings thinking they were good the last time I had them. But they were depressing. Like really small. Bone to meat ratio 1:1. Had a side order of coleslaw which was basically mayo with a few veg thrown in. Fries were ok... I'd be angry if they managed to mess that one up. We ate and drunk the one round and left to another place for propper food. You need pick your game up.

Probably one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. The wings were extremely small, the taste was ok but nothing compared to other brew dog wings. The chipotle coleslaw was unfortunately one of the most disgusting dishes I've ever had, it had way too much vegan mayo dressing and not enough vegetables, I left most of it as I couldn't force myself to finish it, and I'm not a picky eater. Overall really really disappointed and will never be back. If you want wings you're better off at KFC tbh.

Good food but the staff were ran ragged! Long question at the bar with many waiting. Over at the Dumb Waiter lift the food orders were at least 20 tickets waiting to be served. The staff were very apologetic but I blame the management for the fiasco we had as well as many others complaining. Food finally came for 3 of us but my wifes salad came some 15 minutes later. She is no fan of thigh meat so greasy white and dark meat on a late dish was left. Well done to the poor staff for managing so well were management failed you.

Came here on the Brewdog Beer School with my partner and had a great time with Maddock, the person hosting the session. We had a really enjoyable and funny time. Credits to Maddock, who ensured we had a fantastic time!

Great place for beer 🍺 But why did you stopped doing milkshakes? 😭 they were the best! Also just tried the burger & the quality of the meet was below acceptable rate. In fact it was probably the worst one I ever had in Reading ☹️

Went to Brewdog with my family for a birthday meal, I honestly cannot fault this place! Board games, arcade games and it’s even dog friendly, Hannah really went above and beyond! Table decorations, Party hats and colouring books, She really did make us feel comfortable,The food was just perfect 🤩 Mac n cheese I couldn’t get enough of, it was delicious!! Everything was honestly amazing and we 100% will be returning, Thank you to everyone!

My husband loves their beer and the pub is nice and pet-friendly. Their burger are okay and they sell their own soft drink (which is not bad but I would rather get a coke whilst my husband appreciates his BrewDog beer).

Myself and friends stop for a quick meal at Brewdog prior to visiting the Vue Cinema. I wasn't expecting anything special, and to be honest over the years I've employed hundreds of Chefs and dine in similar restaurants around the world. To say I was disappointed I'm being polite, the chicken breast was overcooked, extremely dry and not freshly cooked, I would say the chicken had been hanging around in a warmer for sometime. I hope the restaurant takes note and make the necessary improvements for their customers.

Stopped here on a trip from Essex to Wales on Christmas Eve. Great beers on tap and in fridges, spent a fortune on take aways due to the rest of the drive needed 😉 Also returned here as this was where we first met 🥰

Came in as we knew the brand, and wasn't disappointed. Very friendly staff and good selection of ales.

Came in on a quiet Monday and was immediately greeted by a lady called Lisa, I mentioned it was my friends first time in brewdog. From then the experience just got better!! Within 1 minute Lisa had used her knowledge of the products to sell us two great beers.. that we wouldn’t have gone for if she hadn’t put the effort in to serving us! Clean and great atmosphere will be back because of Lisa’s service.. thank you!!

We visited today with family who live locally. We are from Scotland where the management of Brewdog have received of bad press so I wonder if the practice that we experienced is a mandate from higher up or just plain rudeness. We were a group...

Wings Wednesday was great...service was slow and we had to chase twice...once it appeared good wings and beer...dont have breakfast

Food was excellent we had chicken wings yummy, chips and lamb burger. Best wings ever. We waited for nearly one hour for our food. Restaurant was not busy didn’t appreciate service tbh. Lack of heating i was cold had to wear my jacket. I would...

Went there for a drink with friends. It was quite crowded and the staff friendly. Noticed that the staff kept the place clean and possibly disinfected between customers. However, the food there was dismal. We ordered every single type of wings on the menu and though they took a while to arrive (expected with the crowd), the food had a sour taste to it (vinegar?). I then went on to order the "kluck Norris" burger. And for the £13.75 I paid, I'd say the quality was pretty bad. There was too much mayo, the covering for the chicken was burnt badly and very hard to eat. Had to throw 90pc of it. I did mention this to the person serving us but all we got was a cursory "oh" followed by a half hearted mumbled apology. My friends were happy with the beer, but we all agree that the food was the worst. All in all, this is a pricey place with decent beer choices and bad food.

Such a great environment - great beers, knowledgable and super awesome staff, and the food is utterly ace.

We had an awful brunch here. There were 4 of us and we were the only ones in the restaurant. We all ordered at the same time, the buffalo chicken burger was ordered with a side of fries and these were forgotten. A medium order of buffalo wings came and only had 7 wings, when the portion size is 12. Two orders of the blueberry pancakes were made and there were no blueberries in them, they were burnt, greasy, had barely any syrup and the bacon was so salty it hurt our mouths. Not to mention they arrived when the other two had already finished their meals. Safe to say we didn't eat them. Clearly the chef just couldn't be bothered. They should stick to what they know, beer.

All fine, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a clean environment and a comfortable atmosphere. Decent range of beers, pricing was reasonable and the atmosphere was inviting.

We visited for family dinner with our 5 years old and for business at the same time to check beers for our pub. The place was %30 full. We placed our order at 7:15 online. They came to our table and said that we would be waiting for 45 mins for food and kids must leave at 8 pm. We ask for exception because of kid and cook our food earlier so we could eat quickly. They said no because of other waiting orders. Maybe carbon negative, vegan friendly but definitely doesn’t want kids get in their way even if they have kids menu.

Relaxing place for a couple of beers, no food this time.

Disappointed with my experience here, seeing as friends highly recommended Brewdog. We arrived and it was packed, which is a good sign, sat up upstairs. Ordered food after a 15 min wait the manager came to tell us about the wait of 1.5hrs. He offered a refund or drink through the wait. We decided to stay-might aswell see what the fuss is about. When the food did come it was cold! At this point we just wanted to eat and go.

Pretty disappointed, which is a shame. Booked a table for food, but it was very quiet so no need. We missed our train so phoned to say we were running late, no answer, so emailed. Once we arrived was surprised how quiet they were for a Friday. Not a very warm welcome, demanded to see our ID (I am 46, daughter 19). Ordered food and drinks, the food took ages to arrive, but the place was nearly empty. I was expected to eat without a fork, no body asked how our food was, no offer of a fork.... Went looking for the toilet and got shouted at! So we drank up and left asap. Pity because we had just been to Brewdog Aberdeen and it was completely the opposite, so friendly, so helpful and very prompt service. Reading you are letting the side down!

BrewDog very respectable and friendly pub restaurant. Fantastic music 👌 really pushing the right buttons. Just a great place to drink. Also great service with these lovely ladies called Hannah and Morgan. Also drinking cider, good taste sweet and dry.

Possibly not as impressive as other brew dog bars but that was cool too. Beers like always great but expensive Why is the music so low? I was not offered any beer tryouts 🙄. Oh well I think I must have tried them all by...

I've long been a fan of Brewdog beers from the supermarkets as they seem to produce good quality craft beers on a mass market scale. Gone are the days where all you can get at the supermarket are boring mass market lagers! This was my first time visiting a Brewdog pub and I was very pleased. We didn't have any food (though I've heard good things), but the beer was fantastic. Elvis Juice, one of my favorite Brewdog beers, was incredible on draught. The Guava Hazy Jane was even better. We'll definitely be going back.

We dined with you on Friday night, and I just wanted to share some feedback. Whilst the food was ok, we waited an hour and a half from ordering to recieve our food. When it arrived the waitress didn't even offer us any napkins/cutlery, and certainly didn't check back that our food was ok, or apologize for the wait-the next time she came back to the table was to ask us to go downstairs, so she could close the upstairs area off! I've only been in one other time, and this experience has made me question whether it would be worth coming again. I also emailed the branch on Saturday, but have yet to have a response.
