Really tasty, well cooked and good portion sizes … our favourite take away

Usually extremely good Crispy seaweed was chewy. Satay Chicken was hard, hardly any chicken in my Szechwan box and greasy chicken balls.

Was a bit late, but understandable it's Saturday and the rugby is on . Only in the area for a couple of days so was difficult to choose somewhere but I'm glad we chose this one, lovely meal in a box, spring rolls and chicken balls, delivered hot and fresh . Thank you 😊

Still my favourite restaurant and still delicious, but Not quite as flavourful as it has been before and seemed to be lacking the veggies that I used to enjoy in the box meal.

Food was lukewarm, curry was lacking flavour, the peas in the curry were rock hard, fried rice had a strange flavour and the salt& chilli chips had a rock hard kind of batter covering them. Not a pleasant experience. Very disappointing.

One of the tastiest and we'll presented chinese take aways I've ever had. Bento box have always been good but I've noticed a step up in quality over the years. Very very good!

Cowmain was flavourless, no sauce to it.. red onions and radish’s as a garnish.. not nice on a chow main. Expensive and one of the worse Chinese meals I’ve ever brought.

Really tasty but disappointed that plastic boxes seemed half full, (chicken in a blackbean sauce) salted chicken didn't taste freshly cooked either. But would order again.

The bento box special fried rice is horrible it just rice in a bag put in a bowl and tasteless

Used to love getting food from here, but I won't be again. We ordered 2 sweet and sour meals but they were almost inedible due to the amount of salt. The rest of the food was ok, but certainly not good enough to make up for the bad meals. A real shame. On a positive note, I loved the new packaging (no more plastic boxes) and it was a really quick delivery.

Order placed at 5.20pm and it arrived just before 9pm. Unable to cancel the order on the app or get hold of anyone at Just Eat. The restaurant was amazing, kept in touch and was brilliant. The food arrived hot and perfect and even given three extra dishes to compensate for some that that wasn’t their fault. Bento Box are wonderful, Just Eat are not!

I thought id try somewhere I'd never tried before, and tried this place through uber eats. My god I wish I never!! Without a doubt the worst Chinese I have EVER eaten. Completely Tasteless, salty and greasy. Honestly, avoid this place....it's awful. Never again

Always hot and on time however I found my rice dish had way too much soy sauce which made it very salty for my liking, I will have again but without the soy. Daughters loved their dishes as always and even enjoyed eating mine.

Chicken for the katsu and sweet and sour was very tough to a point it was like chewing gum. for the price of the dish its really disappointing.

Wouldn't go anywhere else! Doesn't leave you with a sluggish, greasy feeling like other takeaways. Consistently good quality and always arrives hot. Never been disappointed!

We have never had a bad meal from Bento Box. Slightly more expensive, but worth the extra money for quality and taste. In our opinion, the best Chinese in Portsmouth.

Actually gone down hill since last time we ordered only thing was good thing was the chicken balls, the spring rolls just as well came in a jar of oil and the salad chips were harder than bullets, we liked this place but not so much now.

I wish I could leave a better review. Food just wasn’t nice. BBQ sauce was good though. Just the strangest tasting house special fried rice I’ve ever had. Wasn’t nice at all. Kind of tasted like I tried to cook Chinese at home and failed.

There was a fragrance smell in Tom Yam soup and it didn’t taste like TomYam at all. The rest wasn’t that great.

PLEASE AMEND. Your listing on Just-Eat says this: "Szechuan Dishes Szechuan style dishes In a container with boiled rice or fried rice or egg noodles + 3 veg rolls (Add a fried egg with sweet soy sauce for £1 extra)" Indicating that all Szechuan dishes are in a container with boiled rice (or etc), but only 'in a bowl' dishes are served with rice?
