Bardo Lounge in Windsor and Maidenhead

Food was overall decent. I have 3 issues though. Firstly, you order with an app and at the time of order you need to leave a tip. Totally nuts. At this stage I hadn’t even met a member of staff, nor had any food, and yet I am supposed to be deciding on what tip to leave. I felt I had to leave a tip though (fearful that if I didn’t I may then get very bad service). Secondly, the napkins and knives and forks were very hurriedly dropped on our tables, and not given to each of us. The napkins, whilst not dirty, were clearly not fresh from the bag, as they were a bit rumpled. I’d guess that they were left over from another table and perhaps correctly determined not to be sufficiently damaged to discard. Lastly, on this app, I asked for no chilli flakes for my daughters avocado sandwich. Sure enough, it came with chilli flakes. Makes a mockery of the 10% service charge I had to pay up front, and the efficiency of the app. Please, Bardo Management, do hold off on making clients commit to service charge before they know what service they will actually receive. It’s annoying having this charge thrust on you, but to have it done prior to getting any service makes no sense (At least makes no sense to the customer; clearly it works very well for the business and staff)

We've visited on many occasions at all times of the day for food and drinks but the most recent visit for breakfast was lovely. The menu is extensive and varied. Nice atmosphere and staff friendly. Price is very reasonable.

We've been many times, usually for brunch. Enjoy the usually good food - including the eggs - and the atmosphere. I'm writing this just to say that I ordered the Lounge Eggs, which are Eggs Benedict. But this time, instead of soft and runny, they were hard boiled. Hopefully it was a one off error of distraction but... come on! (Maybe the wide ranging menu is in fact too much for the cooks to handle.) I'll be back to allow them a redo.

😋🥗☕️First visit to Bardo and there's an interesting concept and interior design here 🤔 that could be a little confusing, but none the less colourful. Visited on Sunday, and the restaurant wasn't over busy but still had to go and find a waiter to take our order. A front of house host/ess wouldn't go a miss here, especially for new guests to show them to a table and explain the ordering system, which is actually pre-paid at the bar. Therefore, more QSR than classic restaurant. The coffee was very good, both the hot and iced we chose. The food was tasty, and the open flat breads were presented well. The toppings were tight for the price, a little more will have been impressive. Pleasant staff, there is alcohol available here, too.

Friendly staff, decent food, fantastic for children & under £40 for 3 people. Can't fault the place got value for money. What more can you ask for.

I live in Maidenhead and come here often both evenings and weekends. Nice atmosphere, good service and never had a bad meal. All day Brunches are excellent

Popped in for a quick lunch, great menu covering a wide range of worldly cuisine. Staff extremely pleasant and attentive, offering quick service with a smile. On this particular day I fancied a burger and chose the lounge burger with cheese and bacon.....well,....I have to say that it was absolutely fantastic, really tasty, just the right size, with the fries, the beef patty was cooked to perfection, just the right amount of juices, complemented by the sauces, made for an exquisite taste explosion. Certainly will be a hard one to beat from now on, well done guys, will be seeing you real soon.....

We were visiting a friend after arriving from Ireland . On arrival very impressed with ambiance and the delightful staff George and bubbly Rose. Food was excellent . I went with my work colleagues for our Christmas part and really love the goan lamb curry, the staff where brilliant really recomed for the place to go in Maidenhead

Love the atmosphere, customer service was happy and helpful, food was so good I could have ordered it twice. Prices not silly considering portion size. Lovely location. Even the men's room was clean, soap, taps and drier all worked as if the place was brand new, made our own bathroom look bad :)

We had a lovely evening here last night whilst staying in the area. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu is great and the food was lovely. Would definitely recommend and are looking forward to visiting a lounge bar nearer to home.

The staff on that day were soo bad at customer service, drinks came out late only got to know what was going on with our drinks when I had gone to the counter. Then got cheek back from the waiter and manager instead of diffusing the situation had banned us from the building I wouldn't spend my hard earned money in there. Just to get insulted.

It was a spur of the moment decision to eat here and we were not disappointed. A very extensive menu and a good Gluten Free food/sweet selection too. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
