I've never had an issue with Andres before but today has ruined my opinion of them. they left a panini off of the order so only one of them were delivered. I rang up expecting that they could send out the one I'd already paid for (and paid delivery on) but they said I'd have to collect. I'm not near an Andres and shouldn't be expected to go all the way there to collect something I already paid delivery on. I go in a lot but that's the end of my support

Got a jalapeño baguette from here, I am never one to get sick, but this baguette made me vomit green later at night! I had gotten food poisoning. Please be cautious.

I visit Portsmouth around 4 times a year, never tried Andre’s as the queue is normally too long for my short lunch stops… this time my wife made sure we stopped by and we weren’t disappointed in the slightest!! We both ordered a panini, toasted excellently with really high quality and quantity filling. It was slightly more than we would both pay for lunch, but was worth every penny and will most certainly return!

not a fault with the resteraunt but the delivery driver told me he had waited 10 mins but the notification had suggested that he had only just arrived don't know if that's because he didn't use his app correct and made it out he was still at the reseraunt

My chicken, slaw and salad baguette had no salad. I submitted a complaint via the Just Eat app and never received a response. First time ordering from Andres and given the lack of communication and missing item, I won’t be ordering again.

Absolutely 5⭐️ and thank u for the drink on the house bcoz u didn’t have the one I ordered I got two different juices!! Brilliant customer service!!!

I received the wrong order. I asked for a chicken salad baguette....no salad at all in it. Portion size was tiny in comparison to photos. I don't normally leave reviews but after complaining and being told there was nothing they could do(even though the order was wrong!) I decided to be a Karen and let the world know how rubbish my lunch was 🥴

Delivery was prompt, food was perfect, but not sure what the delivery driver's problem was. I answered the door slightly after he knocked, and he was very rude and about to walk away?

Foods nice and all drivers busy, driver very apologetic for being late. No issues our end

Fresh and great tasting food. Decent portions. Love the blondies. Highly recommend the baguettes! I love the tuna or the egg mayo and bacon baguettes and my husband loves the turkey cranberry and the garlic chicken.

Excellent as always. But can you please add a pot of your salad dressing to buy please.

There is a lot of similar food and sandwich bars in the area but the crowds found in this popular food bar is evidence of the excellence of its baguettes, sandwiches hot and cold, salads and soups, I avoid the crowds and book my falafel baguette using their app. Staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended

Brilliant service and excellent food!

I was going to go with tuna and salad but talked into trying the garlic chicken - Andre's signature filling. They let me know it was NOT a strong garlic, so I went for it. Sausage roll well seasoned and tasty and garlic chicken baguette was very nice indeed. Friendly and helpful team. Next time I will try the cakes and coffee.

If you want breakfast or lunch that's full of flavour, hand-made on the premises, reasonably priced and from a local business to boot, then look no further than Andre's. There are vegetarian and vegan options, so all dietary requirements are catered for, and despite its compact interiors, you can dine indoors or take away. What's better is that if any of their salads are not on display, they can make it fresh for you, there and then, while you wait. Customer care is paramount at this place, so you always feel attended to and comfortable, which is one of my highlights. My other ones are their breakfast bagel (if you're non-vegetarian) and their salads with extra toppings you can order.

Amazing staff. Probably one of the best places to get your quick lunch in Portsmouth. Personally recommendations: steak, tuna and garlic chicken 👌🏼

Friendly staff. I had a very good seafood sandwich. A perfect place for a good, simple take away lunch.

Coffee really wasn't great unfortunately. Asked for a simple flat white coffee but ended up with a cup of boiling hot milk with not much of a coffee taste. Shame as the place looks well presented and has potential.

I have to resist going here because I always spend so much money! The food is always top notch and the staff are super friendly and helpful! I used to go to the one down Osborne road and was ecstatic when I heard there was another one opening near University! I would highly recommend going here if you want to get great home made, quality food! They do amazing jackets, panini's, baguettes etc! My favourite is the chill chicken or the garlic chicken filling! A definite must if you're in need for somewhere for warm food for lunch!

Always friendly, no matter how busy they are (and normally very popular at lunchtime) and the food itself is always amazing.

Came in for roll and asked for a tuna no mayo with red onion Was informed that they don’t have plain tuna only mixed with mayo REALLY what sandwich shop has no plain tuna I think she was not bothered to open a tin of tuna Poor customer service Won’t be back

Andre’s have been operating independently in Portsmouth for thirty years from their Osborne Road Food Bar and the new outlet continues the high standard. Mainly aimed at take away customers, there is a small counter with four seats to eat in house. Excellent pastries, quiches etc, all strong on flavour and quality plus welcoming, efficient staff. Whilst I was enjoying brunch, counter service was brisk even before the busy lunch period, this branch is rightly set to be a success.

Best baguettes in Portsmouth! I'm Glad to see a local business expand. I've been going to the Osborne rd store for years. This store is new, modern and just as nice as the original. The location is perfect for students and highly recommended to try it out. My new place to go for lunch when I'm in town.

We were at Portsmouth University's Open Day and after 3 hours of talks and campus tours in the driving rain were desperate for a coffee and some nourishment and what a find Andre's is. We both had the soup of the day which was Tomato and Basil - so fresh and full of flavour you knew it really was homemade and we shared a Bacon and Emmental toasted bagel which was so good we stopped on the way home and bought some emmental cheese to have at home. The cafe is surrounded and practically hidden from view by all the chains like Subway so please walk past these and support a local family business. You won't be disappointed!

Stopped in here, bypassing the 4,000 Greggs and Subways in Portsmouth and...well, you just need to go. The food is excellent and well-priced, the coffee is even better. We had a baguette made to order which was spot on, the brownies were delicious and the pre-prepared salads looked outstanding. Highly recommended.

My second visit to the newly opened branch of Andre’s Food Bar,a welcome sight in the heart of Portsmouth University area. You’ll love it! So many choices & they will custom fill your sandwich. I had the bacon Brie & cranberry baguette, packed with filling & flavour. The healthy option salads look good, which I will have to keep in mind as this is going to be my regular lunch stop & everything looks so yummy. Great food, reasonably priced.The staff are really friendly too. Well done!

I popped in here recently with my friend during our lunch break and we were extremely impressed with the quality of the food and just how friendly and genuinely happy the staff were. Despite it being rather busy, the chap who served us didn’t rush us at all when we were trying to decide what to order. I had the homemade garlic chicken baguette and my friend had a pasta salad which she said was amazing. It was cheap too so we’ll definitely come back again.
