Best bread in town and their cinnamon rolls... omg! Heavenly buttery exquisite most delicious ever! Not to talk about their chocolate or pistachio cruffin or the deli amazing sandwiches... a must try! 👌

Only bought one item so far but will be going back that is for sure. But it is a little expensive.

Such a lovely little bakery with the best selection of baked goods. The chai latte was one of the best I’ve had and the pistachio cruffin was delicious and not too sweet. You can also see them making bread behind the counter which is fun to watch whilst you wait for your order. As said there is little space inside with only a few seat so perfect to takeaway. The take-out lid didn’t fit on my cup but was so tasty that I drank it quickly anyway. Will definitely be going back to try the rest of their menu!

I have visited BA countless times and love both the homemade sourdough bread and pastries they create. It's hard to pick a favourite. Sorry it's an old photo of mine.

Hands down the greatest baked goods you’ll ever have. From the bread, to the pastries….utterly scrumptious! Those cinnamon buns!!! Heaven.

Great bread shop, always fresh produce cooked on site. Sometimes stocks are limited if you get there late in the day and parking can be a little tricky but well worth the effort. The bread is excellent and the pastries and treads are delicious. They often do unusual pastries such as rhubarb and pistachio.

Just visiting the area and was advised to go to bread addiction. Addiction is about right. Everything in there was delicious. Specifically (in my humble opinion) the strawberry cream tart.

Super bakery with lovely, delicious treats for breakfast or lunch. A few seats to sit but more suited to take out.

Really good choice to have coffee with their bakery 🧁 🥯 💓 All bakery are fresh made and ready to go, prices are a bit high but still worth to try cause food quality is amazing great! My favourite one will be pear & Hazelnut danish 🤍 Cruffins are delicious and not very sweet ☺️ we tried the chocolate and pistachio and they are all impressed me! Really disappointed, looked for best reviewed bakery in Southsea. This store was highly recommended, sadly the Cruffin and Muffin were stale and tastless. No doubt we just came on the wrong day.

Not bad for a small provincial town bakery. I'd have liked to see what they could do to an apple turnover but was extremely grateful for the bakery products I did manage to acquire.

I called into Bread Addiction for the first time, had to queue but made me think it must be good! I asked for a white sourdough loaf and asked for it to be cut but was told they didn't cut the loaves and I'd have to do it myself, so I didn't bother. I ordered one each of their almond,plain and ham and cheese croissants. They were delicious. The young man who served me was very polite and friendly. Would use again but not for fresh bread as I'm useless at cutting up a loaf. Also I don't always want a sourdough loaf and that's about all they do.

Hands down the Best place in Southsea! World class breads, desserts for every palate and they really know how to make a coffee. Best to arrive earlier to avoid disappointment. This place is the Bang Bang! : closed Mondays and Tuesdays. ps: BA don’t have pies!! 🥧 What is that about!?

Lovely bakery, but what have you done to the cruffins! Half the size and completely tasteless. Revert please and I’ll be back…..I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s noticed the change 😏

A fantastic bakery! Everything is great, even French girlfriend approves of their baguettes which is an accomplishment in itself in the UK.

I work for the ambulance service and I would like to thank the staff of this fabulous bakery for their extremely kind gesture to me and my crew mate yesterday morning. I would like to add that the cinnamon rolls and sandwiches were out of this world. Definitely going to pop in again for another cinnamon roll…… fantastic food!

For while they actually started having bread available for sale after 11am, but they seem to have slid back into the inventory mismanagement that means they have run out of basic loaves and baguettes by mid-late morning. It's a shame, the bread is good, the service dire.

I had heard good things about the place and I had to try. I started with Croissant and as expected it tasted fresh, buttery and crispy from outside and soft from inside. The best thing and what they are most well known for is the freshness of their product, and that's true. I am yet to try other stuffs. Note: you will always find a lot of customers in there.

The pistachio cruffin was exceptional. The cream was light & the pastry flaky with the right amount of sweetness. I also had a cheese and pickle toastie. The bread was delicious and it’s great that they make all their goods in-house.

An experience to behold. Try their smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on their own bread. Scrumptious.

An absolutely wonderful gem here in Portsmouth. The staff are wonderful and kind. The cinnamon buns are vegan and light and delectable. I have nothing negative to say about it in the slightest. An excellent spot I highly recommend. Update: I went back to try the Pistachio Cruffin. There is no clean or polite way to eat this gorgeous mess. But it is delectable!

I must say it's the best bread shop I have met in Portmouth. It's ten minutes walking distance from my apartment, thats my luck. All bread and pastry are freshly baked and made. Almond croissant is amazing. I buy it every two days. I can't imagine after I return to home how I willsurvive without almond coissants from BREAD ADDITION?! Love their bread!

If you come on Saturday, don't bother show up after 9.30am. All bread reserved or sold. Once asked staff if there chance to bake more bread in the future, been told exactly "WE DON'T HAVE BROOM UP OUR ARSES" COME EARLIER. I was stanned at that point and left humiliated, never came back. This is tge most disgusting treatment I've ever exoerienced in UK shops ever. They have time to make coffee , not bake more bread. Is it a coffee shop or bakery? There is a serious issue with management. Constant queues outside during weekdays too. Product is lovely and other staff except for that rude impudent shameless ginger bloke. Left 5 stars previously because product is amazing. Efforts to serve quick and efficient = poor due to bad management

Staff are friendly, we got some cruffins which tasted delicious but not filled with the puree/cream as described, only topped. Also quite expensive.

Two words - Cinnamon Buns. Bun - Crisp on the outside with enough bite in the middle to absorb the sweet filling, not too bready. Perfect level of buttery. Filling - Best filling I've had, almost like a caramel with crispy bits around the edges where it was almost toffee like. Enough cinnamon to remind you this godlike concoction is in fact a cinny bun and you are not just hallucinating. Value - £2.10 for a top-notch bun, great value Reputation - Legendary. Most talked about buns outside of the Kardashian family, and for good reason. Overall - highly recommended

Bread Addiction offers wonderful sourdough bread made on the premises and cakes to die for. They serve great coffee too. I especially love their danish pastries with fruit fillings, as well as the mushroom croqstocks. Their cruffins are so tempting, the lemon meringue variety being my favourite. It's best to go early!

You won’t find better quality or tastier bakery products anywhere in the world....we are so lucky to have Bread Addiction on our doorstep here in Southsea.

I drive past everything morning on the way to work and there's always a queue so this lunch time I popped in for a coffee and sandwich take away. I now know why there's a queue, it's top quality.

First time we have visited and will definitely be back. We had 2 of the cruffins, cheese and ham croissant, pain au chocolate and sausage roll. This was all amazing. Can’t wait to visit again

Not only do Bread Addiction produce consistently delicious pastries and breads, they also create beautiful artisan desserts like this one made to preorder - a chocolate and hazelnut Christmas log. It was a big hit with everyone in my family and made our Christmas special! It would be hard to find desserts of this quality anywhere else in Portsmouth.

Love it, only downside is minimal seating and EVERYTHING sells out early. Food is great, coffee is great. Haven't been able to get the sourdough yet so assuming the reason is it's also great. The staff are always busy but as friendly as time allows.

Bought 2 chocolate pastries with chocolate inside topped with chocolate and miniature malteezers and two cinnamon buns. Took them home to open both bags yo find they were both burnt..... I felt gutted as I’d travelled 5 miles to get these specifically as normally they are lush, all of the pastries were burnt to the point in me taking photos to show them on my next visit. Gutted and felt let down....

En el segundo día nos encontramos con un resoplido y un suspiro cuando elegimos solo un pastel cada uno y el personal detrás de hacer rollos, etc.estaban llenos de miradas y desesperación.Aquí tienes un consejo, sé amable con todos. El dinero es dinero. No me anima a ir allí de nuevo durante el resto de mi viaje.

Great food good coffee, lovely staff, but the most uncomfortable stool to sit on. If you are going to serve up delicious things to eat, some of your customers, are going to need something a bit wider to sit on.

El lugar estaba lleno de comensales, y también había una corriente de clientes de panadería. El servicio era relajado pero rápido, y aunque el menú era limitado, había algunas ofertas sabrosas para un almuerzo / almuerzo informal, a precios asequibles. Mi amiga pensó que sus huevos Benedict eran excelentes, y aunque mis hongos con pan tostado eran abundantes, le faltaba un poco de empuje, con poca evidencia de ajo. Eso, y los asientos que consisten completamente en taburetes bajos de metal, es la única razón por la que no obtuvieron cinco estrellas de mí.

decidimos preordenar y pagar por adelantado un pedido de pan para una gran fiesta el sábado por la noche, ya que sabemos que a menudo se les acaba el pan.Entramos el sábado para recoger según lo acordado. ¡Pero habían vendido nuestro pan y casi no quedaban!La señora que servía no se disculpó ni intentó rectificar. ¡simplemente diciendo que no fue su culpa y que no debemos culparla!
