Definitely a big YES from me. I recommend this to everyone as everything that I have tried there ( I have been there a few times) never disappointed. Keep doing what you are doing as you definitely good at it!

Heard there would be lines down the street for this place on weekends and does not disappoint. Ordered a cruffin and a ham and cheese croissant and trust this is THE best croissant I've ever had. No notes

The atmosphere is definitely cramped. They’re only two tables to sit at and it’s a popular place but worth the hassle if you can take your goods with you. I completely enjoyed the items that I purchased, and I would definitely go back if I was in the area. Highly recommended.

Nice looking cakes / pastries. Odd selection of savouries which apparently can’t (won’t?) be heated up. Quality very good but I think because we visited an hour before close we didn’t get the best service.

Bit overpriced to be honest, however the food is very nice

For while they actually started having bread available for sale after 11am, but they seem to have slid back into the inventory mismanagement that means they have run out of basic loaves and baguettes by mid-late morning. It's a shame, the bread is good, the service dire. Edit: two years later and I made the error of wanting a baguette at 10.15am - they had run out and don’t open again for another two days.

One of the best places in Town every thing is amazing

This is an absolute winner! Went in, and I had a sandwich and coffee with my daughter. There was plenty of meat and cheese filling, but the bread was so delicious. We also bought bread and pastries to take away with us. Afternoon tea was rather tasty with our pastries, and the bread toasted with avocado and poached eggs in the morning was the best thing to start the day. Please give them a visit, you will not be disappointed 10/10

Went in for a sweet treat and a coffee, coffee was yummy and the staff were friendly whilst I took my time to decide!

If you want good bread, this is the place.

I purchased four items from here recently. All goods, and paper bags they were wrapped in, were saturated with fat, with the exception of the sourdough bread. Overpriced, overrated although staff are pleasant and it’s a quirky little bakery.

As soon as I walked in the bakery, the amazing smell of baked goods hit me. There was so much to choose from. The staff were helpful and waited with me as I chose what I wanted. The pesto, tomato and cheese croissants were to die for!!! The pistachio sweat treat was just as tasty. Definitely would go back again!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quite simply one of the best bakeries I’ve even known. Literally everything they sell is off the highest order, it’s just mouth watering delicious. I’d recommend the cinnamon buns but as the shop name suggests they are addictive. They have absolutely nailed it as a business. Keep up the outstanding service.

After salivating over their IG page for the last two weeks, I purchased a fresh White Sourdough loaf, two Cruffins and a Lemon and Blueberry tart . . . they did not dissapoint!!!

Best bakery in town, the sourdough is excellent but baguettes can be a little too crusty. Cinnamon buns also delicious. Lack of vegan options a slight disappointment. Often sells out before closing so arrive early and potentially expect to queue. Coffee is also great, limited seating inside and no toilet. Staff always very friendly and I enjoy visiting.

I buy coffee and cakes at this bakery. It is just the best. I come from Cambridge and London and I have lived in France, but this bakery is just the best one I have ever been to. 5 stars for everything.

As an Italian living in England this place is a dream. Real fresh bread and amazing espresso (a bit longer than what we are used to, but top quality in terms of taste). Can't wait to bring there my gf to try some pastries too for breakfast.

Found this amazing Artisan bakery online when staying in the area, ordered online and picked up on collection day. Best bakery find ever! You see all the “viral” bakeries on tiktok in London, but Bread addiction is way way up there!! We had a variation of sweet pastries and by far our favourite was the Pistachio Cruffin, fresh buttery pastry and beautiful pistachio cream! Well worth a visit if you are in the area!

Amazing place, called in and had the best cheese and chive scones, amazing food and brilliant service, seriously thank you for being amazing! Bring on the local, southsea has so much to offer. Please visit this place THE best baked naughtyness!!

Such a lovely little bakery with the best selection of baked goods. The chai latte was one of the best I’ve had and the pistachio cruffin was delicious and not too sweet. You can also see them making bread behind the counter which is fun to watch whilst you wait for your order. As said there is little space inside with only a few seat so perfect to takeaway. The take-out lid didn’t fit on my cup but was so tasty that I drank it quickly anyway. Will definitely be going back to try the rest of their menu!

Hands down the greatest baked goods you’ll ever have. From the bread, to the pastries….utterly scrumptious! Those cinnamon buns!!! Heaven.

Great bread shop, always fresh produce cooked on site. Sometimes stocks are limited if you get there late in the day and parking can be a little tricky but well worth the effort. The bread is excellent and the pastries and treads are delicious. They often do unusual pastries such as rhubarb and pistachio.

Just visiting the area and was advised to go to bread addiction. Addiction is about right. Everything in there was delicious. Specifically (in my humble opinion) the strawberry cream tart.

My favourite one will be pear & Hazelnut danish 🤍 Cruffins are delicious and not very sweet ☺️ we tried the chocolate and pistachio and they are all impressed me! Really disappointed, looked for best reviewed bakery in Southsea. This store was highly recommended, sadly the Cruffin and Muffin were stale and tastless. No doubt we just came on the wrong day.

They have a lovely selection of mainly sweet pastries. Nice coffee as well. You can tell this place is well supported by the locals and rightly so. Ordered the croque monsier type thing and sat down to eat - would have been nice if it was heated up rather than cold. Also disappointed to hear they don’t do any sit down hot food anymore. So in future would probably just stop by to pick up some bread or a baguette if passing but not make a special trip there.

Not bad for a small provincial town bakery. I'd have liked to see what they could do to an apple turnover but was extremely grateful for the bakery products I did manage to acquire.

I called into Bread Addiction for the first time, had to queue but made me think it must be good! I asked for a white sourdough loaf and asked for it to be cut but was told they didn't cut the loaves and I'd have to do it myself, so I didn't bother. I ordered one each of their almond,plain and ham and cheese croissants. They were delicious. The young man who served me was very polite and friendly. Would use again but not for fresh bread as I'm useless at cutting up a loaf. Also I don't always want a sourdough loaf and that's about all they do.

Hands down the Best place in Southsea! World class breads, desserts for every palate and they really know how to make a coffee. Best to arrive earlier to avoid disappointment. This place is the Bang Bang! : closed Mondays and Tuesdays. ps: BA don’t have pies!! 🥧 What is that about!?

Lovely bakery, but what have you done to the cruffins! Half the size and completely tasteless. Revert please and I’ll be back…..I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s noticed the change 😏

A fantastic bakery! Everything is great, even French girlfriend approves of their baguettes which is an accomplishment in itself in the UK.

I work for the ambulance service and I would like to thank the staff of this fabulous bakery for their extremely kind gesture to me and my crew mate yesterday morning. I would like to add that the cinnamon rolls and sandwiches were out of this world. Definitely going to pop in again for another cinnamon roll…… fantastic food!

I had heard good things about the place and I had to try. I started with Croissant and as expected it tasted fresh, buttery and crispy from outside and soft from inside. The best thing and what they are most well known for is the freshness of their product, and that's true. I am yet to try other stuffs. Note: you will always find a lot of customers in there.

The pistachio cruffin was exceptional. The cream was light & the pastry flaky with the right amount of sweetness. I also had a cheese and pickle toastie. The bread was delicious and it’s great that they make all their goods in-house.

An experience to behold. Try their smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on their own bread. Scrumptious.

An absolutely wonderful gem here in Portsmouth. The staff are wonderful and kind. The cinnamon buns are vegan and light and delectable. I have nothing negative to say about it in the slightest. An excellent spot I highly recommend. Update: I went back to try the Pistachio Cruffin. There is no clean or polite way to eat this gorgeous mess. But it is delectable!

I must say it's the best bread shop I have met in Portmouth. It's ten minutes walking distance from my apartment, thats my luck. All bread and pastry are freshly baked and made. Almond croissant is amazing. I buy it every two days. I can't imagine after I return to home how I willsurvive without almond coissants from BREAD ADDITION?! Love their bread!

If you come on Saturday, don't bother show up after 9.30am. All bread reserved or sold. Once asked staff if there chance to bake more bread in the future, been told exactly "WE DON'T HAVE BROOM UP OUR ARSES" COME EARLIER. I was stanned at that point and left humiliated, never came back. This is tge most disgusting treatment I've ever exoerienced in UK shops ever. They have time to make coffee , not bake more bread. Is it a coffee shop or bakery? There is a serious issue with management. Constant queues outside during weekdays too. Product is lovely and other staff except for that rude impudent shameless ginger bloke. Left 5 stars previously because product is amazing. Efforts to serve quick and efficient = poor due to bad management

Staff are friendly, we got some cruffins which tasted delicious but not filled with the puree/cream as described, only topped. Also quite expensive.
