The staff and the atmosphere's really nice and welcoming and the foods delicious - strongly recommend for anyone in the area to try it out!

A chance find having driven through village after village with nothing in them. We grabbed some sandwiches and cakes for take out. They were fresh and delicious, well filled with a small salad! Friendly, clean cafe!

Excellent menu in a wonderful setting. Close enough to the town centre to walk, far enough away not to be busy or hurried. Traditional Scottish fare, but also a range of Catalan cuisine. Freshly cooked. Very tasty. Excellent value for money. Well worth a visit.

Tapas3 is an unassuming Spanish restaurant that serves the most amazing food with a super friendly service. It’s so typical of the off beat restaurants tucked away in Spanish cities that do not need to rely on fancy settings; they survive on amazing food and fabulous/friendly service. This place is a must if you’re ever in Edinburgh.

Lovely meal. Great food and service. Really suited us as I was hungry and my wife less so. The tapas format enabled us to order, share and eat as much as each of us wished. NB the gambas al ajillo were delicious and generous, and the sangria packed a bigger punch when I stood up than when drinking at the table!

We really enjoyed our meal at Tapa, we were very happily surprised to see that the meal was 50% off on Thursdays. Very reasonable in that case and we made sure to order lots! Food was great, service was wonderful (including a young woman at the bar who helped me out massively!). All the waiters were very nice, atmosphere was great. Highly recommend.

Quirky little restaurant with a family atmosphere. If you’re after fine dining, it’s probably not the place but if you’re looking for authentic Spanish food and hospitality then look no more! Guillermo and his daughter are super friendly and helpful, definitely worth checking out

Unfortunately I feel sol y sombra has lost its spark. My husband and I visited for lunch and it was just “ok”. I have loved my previous visits to this restaurant under the previous owners. We were met with friendly staff, however I feel they need some training. They never engaged with us other than to take our order and serve the food. We were not approached to ask how our food was or to order further drinks. I observed other customers having to go to the bar to ask for drinks, water glasses and food orders. I was most disappointed in the sangria. It’s usually full of flavour with lots of fruit .Unfortunately it was just average, cheap brand of lemonade from the bottle and 4 slices of fruit.

If you want to try Spanish tapas, this is the place and for the Spanish bear as well, we were amazed how the dishes stayed warm through out the time we were eating, then the waiter told us that is because of the bowls made of mud in which they were serving, they were so good we ended up buying the bowls, you can cook, heat up and eat good in the bowls and they are dishwasher safe.

Really disappointing meal. Staff were friendly but food was dreadful. We all have fish and chip and left with the question “how many times had that fish hit the fryer?” We didn’t make a fuss but quietly paid our overpriced bill. With hingsight really wish we had as it was one of the worst meals I’ve eaten in a long time.
