We found this little hidden gem after a quick Google search and they mamaged to sqeeze us in last min. Food, atmosphere and staff were all outstanding. We tried most things from the menu and were not disappointed. The cod croquettes were unreal and the pork cheek was cooked to perfection 👌. Every single dish was just amazing. We will be back.

Just had our dinner in this lovely little gem of a restaurant this evening. Best meal out and best tapas I have had in a long time. The cod croquettes, tempura aubergine, black pudding with goats cheese & fig jam and the pork cheek were our favourites. The pork cheek was falling apart and so tender. Delicious. Nice atmosphere with friendly and efficient staff. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic Tapas.. we were not too sure about booking here as it’s obviously not in the centre of town but really glad we did as we really enjoyed our meal here… staff very friendly, we ordered 6 dishes & they were all delicious. Decent value, would go again.

Fantastic Spanish tapas restaurant, superb quality dishes and proper Spanish beer on draught (Estrella Galicia) super friendly staff only downside is tables are very close together so not much privacy, superb food though.

Had the calamari, patatas bravas, aubergine and the special which was sardines, all cooked to perfection and all very tasty, nice relaxing atmosphere too

This is the best place for Tapas in Edinburgh. Tapas3 has really authentic classics which are all cooked to perfection. Croquettes were a personal favourite. The atmosphere was really nice too - great music choice and comfortable chairs. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive all evening. Highly recommend. Great for a date night or a meal for a show!

Funny one this, seems to be totally booked out all the time, Festival month allowing its not really of the level to demand that. I spend 6 weeks in Edinburgh in August so visit a good number of restaurants and I can't help but wonder how easily pleased people there are. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, better than average, and all the usual tapas specialities but its not much better than mid range. The place isn't big, there are too many tables for the space and it could just do with some more ambience to make it good. The staff felt weary, maybe they were, but ultimately its not the all round experience we expected. It felt more like a pop up than an established restaurant.

Had lunch here before going to fringe. The tapas was freshly prepared and the 6 dishes we had were all very tasty, we also enjoyed a basket of bread to mop up the lovely sauces . Staff very friendly and helpful. We will return next time we in Edinburgh .

Excellent restaurant in a quiet street in the center of Edinburgh. Possibility to dine inside or outside. The menu offers various vegetarian options. 🍹 The cocktails are excellent, I recommend ordering the "Margarita Picante". I recommend booking if you are more than two people.

What a lovely evening we had at this restaurant. Delicious tapas - a real taste of Spain - and such charming, helpful staff. Excellent value. We'll be back, for sure!

Beware. I ordered whitebait. I got 6 pieces which really was 3 wee fishes cut in half. My wife ordered calamari and got 4 pieces. We decided to order garlic bread and received 2 pieces 3 inch diameter with crushed tomatoes on top All very nice but wouldent have satisfied a hamster. All this plus 2 small coffees for £30. A bit rich.

We were carried away by the reviews and we were delighted. The best food in Edinburgh has to be a Spanish tapas place with top ten prices and service and also a quiet place where it is a pleasure to eat and they give a particular touch to everything and even Spanish desserts. ..a must if you go to Edinburgh!!

This is a great wee restaurant found on a quiet street a minute's walk from busy Clerk St. The service was friendly, we liked the quiet ambience and simple decor. The food was all delicious and well presented. We shared a cheese platter which had 3 types of cheese served with small crisp breads, quince jelly and squares of walnut something or other. We then had 6 tapas, including vegetables, salad, fish, seafood and chicken which was plenty between 3 of us, washed down with a jug of sangria. It was a well priced meal, with friendly, efficient service and we'll be back again.

While in town for the Jazz & Blues festival, me and Mrs HW decided to go here. Wow - you will not be disappointed. Service was great, as was the wine, and as for the food, it was epic! 👌🏻 Would come back in a heartbeat if it weren't for the fact we live in Derby 🙁

Delicious food, friendly and attentive service. This was my second visit, and I'd happily return on a future visit to Edinburgh.

In my quest for Gluten free food, I was fortunate enough to find this restaurant which was great in accommodating my needs. They even had gluten free bread for me to dip into the broth the shrimp came in. Delicious! And I was even able to have dessert which is a major plus for me!

Probably the best Tapas in Edinburgh! Excellent service and the food is delicious. I would recommend getting 3-4 dishes each and sharing. Homemade Croquetas and Chorizo al Vino Tinto were my favourite. Ensalada de Cabra and Ensalada de Tomate were tasty and vegetarian dishes.

Lovely place, great food! Went on a Friday night for dinner and it was fantastic. We had five tapas and a dessert shared between the two of us and that was plenty - so good portion sizes. Service was lovely and while it was busy, it wasn’t too loud or crowded. If you like tapas, make sure to check it out!

Forget about any other tapas restaurants you’ve been to! This is the one! The food was hot, fresh and simply perfection. It was the best tapas I’ve ever eaten! The flavours from the garlic bread with fresh tomatoes, prawns and meatballs sent my tastebuds in to a frenzy. The staff are so friendly and helpful and there is nothing I could fault about this restaurant and I will be a regular from this day forward.

Went whilst on a work trip and was more authentic than a lot of the deep-fried tapas you tend to see in tourist locations which was a plesent suprise.

Tasty Spanish food with liquor 😋..the staff girls are cheerfull. Grilled chicken skewer pincho Marino is best. prawn stew amazing...Spanish omlet no words to say.you must try once.cheer guys.

A small but perfect tapas bar in back street Edinburgh. The range of dishes is so varied and interesting. Well prepared and served with great enthusiasm. We had a wonderful meal here…seek it out.

The service at Tapas3 is fantastic; friendly, knowledgeable and polite. The food is consistently delicious. The enslada de Cabra was a good sized bowl of tasty salad and mushroom croquettes were amazing. Another highlight was the white bait. Will be returning again!

This is the most genuine Spanish tapas restaurant in the whole of Edinburgh. The food is always tasty, the offering is varied and the drinks selection is great. I always visit them when I'm in Edinburgh! Last time I went, me and my friend ordered tabla queso, gambas al pil pil, carrillera, ensalada de cabra and pincho moruno. All perfect. The atmosphere is relaxed even when the place is busy. The decor is modern and fresh and the staff are very friendly. I'll definitely be back!!

Best tapas I’ve had in Scotland. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Gave us some good local history stories, and a complementary taste of local gin. The flamenco show next door was exceptional.

Good food. Excellent social atmosphere. Pleasant, comfortable and original venue. Typical of Spanish flamenco evenings, with passionate, quality artists. Many thanks to the creator of this venue for her enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to this cultural and culinary space.

I only have praise for this restaurant. Their tapas are second to none: great taste, perfect portions and reasonable price. I go there often for solo dinner and also with friends and Tapas3 never disappoint. The food is super tasty and the staff is friendly and make good recommendations both on food and drinks. I've added a picture of my favourite dish but there are lots other wonderdul tapas to choose from. Also, I love sitting in their outdoor area, which is perfect to catch the sun while enjoying a drink in a clear day. If you are lucky, you may catch a flamenco show next door on a Friday evening and also if you visit during the Fringe festival. All in all, this is an excellent family run restaurant. PS for people visiting from abroad, staff is multilingual, which is a bonus not many places offer in Edinburgh.

We were a large group of 29 visiting Tapas 3 for dinner and drinks. We had all paid a deposit of £10 before arrival and were to pay a balance of £20 at the end of the meal. An additional charge for a tip was added on to each meal so it ended up being £24 each at the end of the meal. An additional charge that we were not made aware of. 7 of us paid by cash totaling, £168, we gave £170, we paid a member of staff at the till, this £170 was stolen by the staff. As each person paid, we were asked to leave "to avoid confusion". The last person to attempt to leave was my aunt, her way was barred by an angry member of the kitchen staff, this was pretty intimidating. She was told that we had underpaid by £170 and that she was not allowed to leave until she paid, so of course she paid thinking that it was the right thing to do. She was not allowed to go upstairs to speak with the rest of our group to clarify the misunderstanding. When we as a group spoke about it later, my aunt realised that the amount that we paid in cash did not show on the ipad that she was shown. We have contacted the owners, they have provided only a basic receipt to us, they have not listed all food and drinks purchased to reference against what was paid. They have told us that no cash was paid at the till. They have told us that they have reviewed the footage from that night but have not shown it to us. WE DID PAY £170 IN CASH. We believe that a member of staff took this money. An extra sting seen as we had to pay them an additional £116 as a statuary tip. The owners have basically told us that it is our problem and that there is nothing that they can do. This is an absolute disgrace, horrible thieving staff and horrible owners **response to owner** Several attempts were made on our part to sort this out privately, several. We were not provided with a full breakdown for us to match the purchases to payments. My own mother paid the £170 in cash at the till, which you said yourself was not there at the end of the night. So where did it go? After several attempts to figure it out with you, you told my aunt that she had to "foot the bill" herself. We have not resorted to unfounded accusations on a public forum, we are telling the truth of what happened after you stopped responding to our private messages.

I went to Tapas3 for drinks and dinner with some friends, and I must say, I was genuinely impressed! The atmosphere was cosy, warm, and relaxed, and the staff were very kind and attentive. The waitress recommended having 2-3 tapas per person, which we shared easily. The tapas were not only delicious but also perfectly portioned to leave some room for dessert (the Tarta de Santiago was so good!!). On top of that, the drinks menu offered a wide variety of options, and the cocktails we tried were amazing, especially considering the price!!

Bad experience in this restaurant large group went as part of my daughters hen party...when leaving I was approached to say 7 people hadn't paid I didn't want a scene or any trouble at my daughters party so paid the outstanding bill...later on it came to my attention thatv7 people had paid cash...I contacted restaurant following day & they said they would look into it...on further contact they said there was no sum of money matching the amount that was paid in cash in the till...so to summarise they have a thief on there staff or took advantage that 7 of us trustingly paid cash either way I'm down nearly 170 pound...they done nothing to resolve situation

Amazing food and amazing service. Lots of gluten free food and really good with coeliacs. Our waiter was lovely. Good selection of food, sweet and savoury, would definitely come back.

Service was the best thing ! Food overcooked everything covered in oil tasteless and microwaved.Desserts nice wine too!

Fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere. The food was simply delicious, the chorizo, the meatballs, the patatas bravas and the wine! Everything was just tasty and really good value for food. The staff and the owner are so friendly and kind, it's just a wonderful place to go. You'll definitely see us back!

A friend recommended this place,.... what a find!!!! Food stunning, staff friendly and attentive, wine (chardonnay, which we chose on spec, not something we usually drink) excellent. Wee word of warning, the portions are bigger than the usual tapas restaurants... so order what you really want first and then order more if you want more...... very reasonable, £101 for the two of us, That included 30 for the wine, a beer, 2 coffees and all the food, yes we ordered too much! Soooo good!!! We will be back.....

Dined here last week for a trip through to Edinburgh. Myself and my partner fancied tapas and after reading the reviews thought we had to try. It didn’t disappoint! The service was fantastic extremely welcoming and informative, food was fantastic and very reasonably priced for the portion sizes. We really recommend the berenjenas con miel. Never had aubergine like it with the crispy batter. Amazing! Can’t praise Tapas 3 more. We’ll certainly be back and hope you try it too.

Best Spanish in Edinburgh, by a mile.

Super friendly, helpful staff, quick service, nice atmosphere, tasty food, and reasonable price for city centre. Also we were warned us about gluten in the deep frying oil without us having to ask, which was so appreciated! Will definitely be returning!

Without doubt the best Tapas we’ve ever had and really excellent service too

I really wanted to like this place. It was a nice coasy resturant, and the food tasted great. There just was not enough food for the price. The cheese board was around 14 pounds, and there were 5 relatively small pieces of cheese, i think max 50 grams. The pork cheeks were around 40 grams in one dish, max, which was around 9 pounds (and there wasnt anything else in this dish than the meat, so the value for money was not there. This was a theme all the way through the dishes, there just wasnt enough, based on the price. We were 4 people and ordered 10 dishes - they recomended 2-3 pr person so we ordered right in the middle, and we would have had to order at least 5 dishes more in order to get full. When we paid the waiter asked if everything was good, and we just stated that we would not be comming back, based on the value for money, and we paid with no argument at all (we only joked that after paying that ammount of money, you should not have to buy a kebab on the way back, like my partner wanted to do). On the way out we were stopped by the owner, and we had a very uncomfortable interaction, which has promted me to write this review. She decided to argue with us in the middle of the resturant as we wanted to leave. She ended up saying we could have the service charge back, which we did not want, as the waiters did a nice job and were kind. She then waved the money in my face, in what i felt like was a threatning way, trying to get us to take the money. She argued that we should have ordered more food, but this was not the point - we could have orderd more, but the ammount we ordered and at the price should have been enough. The ammount we paid pr gram of food was way more than we have paid at any other resturant in scotland, and no we did not eat at MacDonalds. The owner continued to aruge infront og waiters and the rest of the resturant, which felt like a move to intimidate us, which I did not care for. I stated that we simply wished to leave, and not take any money from her, to which I got a snarky remark. Over all, a very mixed experience, where I left feeling very threatened and over all sad at the interaction. Would not come back, even if someone paid me to do it. (Sorry, to the waiters and the chefs, who obviously did a good job)

Visited tapas 3 and was not disappointed , the food was of excellent quality especially the chorizo and pork , only downside was ham croquettes which were tasteless but would definitely come again

Sublime! I loved everything I ate! And we shared so many tapas! The papas bravas and salsa were delicious! The morcilla sausage with goat cheese and fig jam was very tasteful. The berenjenas con miel were absolutely tasty, light and crispy, the slow-cooked pork cheek: so tender and flavourful that we asked for more bread to keep dipping in the sauce- we did the same with the meatballs- the garlic shrimp and calamari were perfect and really by far the absolute most tasteful crème brûlée I have ever had! So light and right with the raspberries! Only regret was sharing this one… the honest truth is we had already had so much food I had to share my dessert. The whole evening was just a phenomenal culinary experience that was both amazing and pleasing to all my senses! Fabulous friends, excellent atmosphere in this charming looking restaurant, and the food! Topping this up: the lovely friendly service of this family owned business who genuinely make you feel like family. Great location just off an important street makes it a jewel of a restaurant. Not to be missed! Authentic tapas delight! I conclude with bravo to this great team and a huge thank you for what you do there: because you obviously do this with love! I will come again and recommend you!

Tucked away in Edinburgh, this place was fantastic. It's small, with an intimate atmosphere. The food was just outstanding. Bonkers aubergine chips in crisp batter with treacle, sublime octopus tentacle, by far the best tortilla we have ever had, very tasty cod croquettes. The people serving us were lovely- passionate about their food and knowledgeable about the range of sherries that they offer. Sadly we are just visiting Edinburgh or we would be in this restaurant every week,

Loved this place. Just peffect before a show at Usher Hall

Took my mum for lunch on 9th March. After seeing the reviews I thought it was going to be good...but it was even better than I thought it would be! The place is lovely, the people who run it were so nice and welcoming, and the food was incredible! We came away trying to decide what our favourite dish was but we ended up naming all of them. If you haven't been then get booked up!

We were walk-ins early on a Tuesday evening. Friendly service and the food was lovely. We had five dishes between two, then desserts, plus drinks and a coffee, and the bill including service charge came to £77 for the two of us. Will definitely return.

I believe a 5 star rating is not good enough to describe how great this place is in every single way. The place itself is very neat, the food is excellent and i love the live flamenco on Fridays. The service is OUTSTANDING! Especially Raquel, our favourite lovely server, that includes each and every single person who works in the restaurant . They are VERY CARING about their customers I feel like am eating in my grandmother, Lola's kitchen. I love coming here. I can order anything and I am instantly transported to weekends with my mother, grandmother, and the joys of playing with my cousins. The prices are decent, what I like the most are the portions they serve. Congrats to everyone who works here!!

First visit here and enjoyed it very much. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly and attentive. All dishes we had were fantastic, we had three each but portions were so big we could have had two and still felt satisfied. Good wine list...
