A chance find having driven through village after village with nothing in them. We grabbed some sandwiches and cakes for take out. They were fresh and delicious, well filled with a small salad! Friendly, clean cafe!

After our first visit late 2019, we were really pleased to find this cafe still open. We had a very nice breakfast cooked by Kerry and returned the next day for a Sunday roast lunch. If you want a fancy meal with all the bells and whistles then this place probably isn’t for you. But if you want a homemade, tasty and wholesome meal made with decent quality ingredients, and excellent value, then you can’t go wrong. Great cakes, good coffee and friendly staff.

Great little cafe with freshly cooked food teas coffees and juices, this place is a hidden gem if your walking or cycling in the area do pop in, always a friendly welcome with a smile and lots of local advice and information, there’s even a thingy to repair your bike whilst passing through and a garage workshop across the road for bigger repairs or why not get your car serviced whilst you have breakfast, lunch or dinner, Always delicious food

What a lovely hotel and the staff are amazingly helpful. The room is amazing clean and very spacious, I have stayed on the island many times over the years but this place is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Stay here a million times better than the Sefton, it's a great location absolutely fantastic.

Best food I’ve eaten in Dumfries hands down. Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and great company. Not to be missed.

Just had lunch at Jinty-B's in Thornhill, Dumfriesshire. Gorgeously quirky, comics wallpapering the cafe, great home-made toasties & cake, hot tea & coffee & everything is immaculate. Perfect for family groups & very dog friendly.
