Some of the best food I've ever had, and I've travelled the world. Try the prawn bap. It's incredible We are back on Gigha next summer and heading straight to the Nook.

We have been going to the Cafe Royale for over 3 years now on a monthly basis, it was recommended to us when we moved from England by our Solicitor in Glasgow. She remembered it from being taken by her grandfather and said it was the best Fish shop in the world. She is, was and always will be 100% correct!!! We've lived and visited countless places across the globe and though there are plenty of fish and chip shops closer to us, they've all let us down for one reason or another. Cafe Royale has been consistently the best for over 3 years for us and we've simply stopped going elsewhere. Please keep on doing what you do guys..

This place serves THE BEST BURGERS EVER!! Over the past 2 decades my hubby and I have set out to find the best burgers anywhere. Independent places, franchises, back of beyond, you name it we have tried it. We had our last night of holiday meal and chose The Shack. Absolutely no regrets, food was beyond description, tasty, fresh, perfectly seasoned, rich but not stodgy. Cannot recommend them highly enough. The two working the van were lovely and even gave my daughter an extra box to colour in. Highly reccomend this place and can't wait to visit again next year! 10/10! Thank you for the amazing food.

Complete chancers, I pass through CD often and have stopped here a few times, the last three times there have put cheaper things than ordered, tonight a small portion of chips instead of a large chips and cheese, the last time a 1/4 pound burger instead of a 1/2 pound one, I usually eat it a few miles down the road, tonight I checked it when I got it and took it back in, he wasn’t pleased at me discovering it. They are obviously just ripping of customers they think are passing through, it disappointing as the food is actually quite good, told him tonight I wouldn’t be back, I will need to find somewhere else on route to buy my tea next time

We all prebooked and ordered our meals beforehand and we were all treated like kings, the food was fabulous, service second to none and in all an amazing evening, we all highly recomend this great place

Lack of knowledge regarding allergens. Food wasn’t much better either. Definitely avoid if you have intolerances or allergens.

Used this shop perhaps a dozen times in last few months. Good food but perhaps to much batter on fish. But without doubt the biggest portions ever. Reasonable prices

Was actually pretty good..folk were nice..unfortunately their idea of salad is lettuce and onion only!!..no tomatoes..no cabbage..red or white ..which was a shame.

Fantastic fresh food and excellent service. The place was very busy but we were served quickly and watched the chefs working, it was a very good experience . Very warm welcome amd all round pleasant experience

Husband ordered fish n chips and pork rib supper. They used frozen chips and the fish was dry. Very poor. Won't be back.We thought chip shops used fresh tatties.😨
