The Nook in Dumfries & Galloway

The selection of fresh seafood available here was second to none and the food was really tasty, I will go back to Gigha just to get another takeaway. I got a wonderfully friendly reception and, as a cyclist, was able to top up my water at the big outside sink at the back of the place.

Great food, Crab Rarebit, very helpful staff who modified it to include my gluten free crispbreads. Great chips and salad. Really nice friendly place and well stocked shop.

The nook is always an absolute treat, but with new items on the menu we just couldn't resist trying the newly added Isle of Gigha crab rarebit. And it did not disappoint! What an absolutely stunning dish tasty, perfectly portioned and absolutely overflowing with crab meat. If you haven't tried this dish yet I highly recommend you do. The tempura squid with chilli jam came in at a very close second, the batter was delightfully crisp and seasoned to perfection. Thank you to team nook for another delicious lunch. 10/10 as always 😄

We had one of the best seafood dish at the nook. We had crispy tiger prawns bap and breaded halibet. It was properly coated and cooked golden brown. My soul was happy after having sucha tasty meal. Highly recommend. Please don't miss trying atleast one meal at the nook.

The Nook is the highlight of Gigha trips. The menu is unique, and the food always exceptional. Well done it’s brilliant x
