The best restaurants serving Portuguese food in Scotland

Prompt service, good food, friendly staff, great location. What's not to like.

Nice nandos, always tasty food. Hot and fresh they are very busy tho, so keep that in mind. Not many dessert options but that applies to all nados.

I came in the other day and was seated by Dan, he asked for the number of people to be seated, if we had been to Nando’s before (which made us feel very welcome) and if there’s any allergies or dietary requirements. He took the pleasure to ensure the table we were going to be sat at was clean and up to standards. I ordered and was served by Thomas, lovely chap, he always makes sure my order is correct and genuinely cares about the company. Mid-way through my succulent meal, Kirsty came and asked how everything was, which it was! thank you to the grill team (I can only imagine how hard they work especially during the month of Ramadan), and asked if we need anymore sauces or anything else brought over to the table at all. She was bright and smiley and really shows great customer care. Once the meal was finished Thomas came and cleared the table and Mark asked if we would like any desserts or anything at all. Thank you Nando’s Quay for your excellent food and customer care. The world really needs more hard workers like these ones.

Was so upset and the manner of a particular staff member Adam, looked me and family up and down, snared at us, didn’t have a friendly approach towards us and had an attitude, I understand when staff can be under pressure in hospitality but this attitude ruined my night with my family, as a single mum with kids to support we wanted this one night to enjoy ourselves between Xmas and new year and if was so off putting and upsetting. Will not return due to this experience!

Disappointed forced to pay for a paper bag to carry one wrap in when order online and no option not to take a bag. Very bad gif the environment and completely unnecessary

My Mediterranean Salad was fine for vegetable ingredients but the feta cheese was hardly visible. My companion wasn't over-impressed by his chicken dish. The most extraordinary feature was the lack of coffee on the menu! Next time we are in that part of Edinburgh we'll head straight for the Portrait Gallery which has every sort of coffee (together with lots of salads, cakes and anything else one needs at lunch time.)

Absolutely terrible, even by a chain restaurants standards. Came in at 3.15pm and had ordered my food by 3.20pm. My halloumi fries arrived within 5 minutes but nothing else. I thought they would just be coming. Then I presumed they’d maybe arrive once we’d finished the halloumi fries, but no. Sat waiting until 3.53pm when a table that had came in half an hour after us, got their food. I asked a man wearing a purple shirt where our food was as everyone that had came in afterwards had food and we only had halloumi fries. He went to the kitchen to see where the food was and within five minutes it was out. Cold and obviously rushed. No apology or good will gesture offered. Put the food down and disappeared. Won’t ever be back. Terrible customer service.

Great food great atmosphere clean staff are friendly and the service was great .would highly recommend it to others
