Place is funky and cute. We arrived for the 6 pm service (out by 7:30). Basically, service poor and rushed, food lukewarm and uneven in quality As recommended by waitstaff, we ordered 4 dishes - we chose the grilled calcots, roasted jerusalem artichokes, sprouting broccoli and skrei cod. Food very uneven and mostly not at appropriate temperature (i.e. lukewarm). Cod was treated with respect but the "cipollini onions" seemed awfully similar to pickled onions from Waitrose. Also the coldness of the onions was jarring with the warmish fish. And that was the best of the lot. I liked the calcots themselves but the salsa romesco was tasteless and the "toasted" almonds were pretty pale for being toasted (rushed to the table?). Roasted artichokes were unexceptional. Partner liked the broccoli but I found it overcooked and limp. So this was a disappointment - menu sounds fun but ... just didn't deliver. To the service - we are very accustomed to the need to keep tables moving in small restaurants and are always respectful. However, you don't expect to be told 30 minutes in advance .... time to move along and be repeatedly told to move it despite saying - yes don't worry, we'll be done. So we felt very rushed and this was also an issue with most of the dishes arriving with no sense of timing - too much on the (small) table at once (which added to the temperature issues). Waitstaff seemed in some sort of alternative universe, floating around other than dropping dishes off and reminding us it was time to leave. Has potential but suspect the chef/owner needs to re-evaluate timing / quality of dishes and provide some training to staff on their engagement with customers.

Un hermoso salón de té, pequeño pero acogedor. Como amante del matcha, es uno de mis lugares favoritos para ir en Londres. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente! La cola puede ser larga así que prepárate para esperar

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch. We shared a plate of trofie with pesto and a pizzetta with speck and potato. The trofie was al dente and the home made pesto was delicious. The pizzetta had a lovely crust and was adorned with thick slices of speck. This restaurant is part deli and sells a variety of meats, cheeses and wine to go. We had a glass of Malvasia each, which was light and refreshing and inexpensive at £5.25 for a 175ml serving. The service was friendly and attentive and I can't wait until I can eat inside. A really lovely place for lunch.

Despite having had some good times here with the board games, today we ordered two glasses of cordial (wanting something summery and cold before maybe later having some coffee) and were shocked to be charged £8 for two small glasses (200ml) of cordial with tap water. Another café we like to go to offers cordial with tap water for only 50p a glass (and the glass is a much bigger pint glass). For the price of two small glasses of cordial we could have bought lunch somewhere else!

I celebrated my birthday here recently, the team was amazing, booking and pre-order was clear and easy, and they made everything smooth on the day too. I would highly recommend their Sunday roast!

Dos de nosotros paramos aquí para tomar un café y un pastel el domingo por la mañana. Tuve el pastel de tocino y arce y me pareció delicioso. Capas de pasta grasa y escamosa y tocino casi crujiente, empapado en jarabe de arce pegajoso. Mi amigo tenía un bollo de cardomón, que decía que era demasiado grasiento (pensaba que se veía menos grasiento que mi tocino y arce). No puedes complacer a todos. A los dos nos gustan los blancos planos. Cola durante unos 10 minutos solo para pedir.

This is our go-to destination for their wonderful and consistent coffee courtesy of their excellent barista team. Very friendly and knowledgeable baristas who know their coffee well – flat white is always perfectly texturised and velvety with luxurious microfoam and subtle creamy taste. Despite their skills, the team are really down to earth and welcoming without the attitude that typifies so many London artisan coffee joints. Anika the owner is always charming and hospitable – its obvious she genuinely cares about her customers and the place has a real community vibe.And if that wasn’t enough, they have just appointed a new chef, who has already created some culinary masterpieces. Not often I get excited about porridge but I am now addicted to his porridge with mince pie chutney concoction. And their cheese toastie with nduja is out of this world – literally oozes flavour - words won’t do it justice – you just have to try it for yourself!

Siendo una persona irlandesa que ha vivido en Londres casi 15 años, todavía busco un sabor de casa cuando me siento un poco nostálgica, así que elegí aquí para la comida. Comida, bebidas, cócteles y ambiente era genial sin quejas. Estaría de acuerdo con varias personas aquí sobre el servicio. Inicialmente muy lento, ya que el tipo que servía era súper lento y realmente no parecía demasiado molesto. Pero más tarde, cuando el personal cambió alrededor de las 6 las damas que estaban sirviendo donde era genial para ser honesto. Literalmente tomó 10 minutos para obtener un paquete de patatas fritas que no más de 3 pasos de distancia de mí. Melodías donde el goo, el rugby y yo y mi pareja tuvimos una gran noche. ¡El guiso fue un punto culminante en el menú!

It's a lovely and welcoming cafe. The owners seem to have focused on the tea - they have an excellent range and it's all really nice (although it's my first time trying bubble tea). I was served by someone called Angel? Angelica? I think; so sorry for not getting your name right but she's extremely welcoming and kind! Served my tea super quick and elegantly, definitely coming here again. I will definitely start visiting with friends here regularly, it's so much nicer than some of the mainstream bubble tea stores in central London.
