The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in South Wales

Would not recommend. We ordered the 8oz sirloin and the 10oz ribeye (was neither 10oz, nor a ribeye steak) the chips were like dry kebab shop fries, nothing special. Service was slow and appalling, when booking online they don’t tell you that a deposit is needed. After having no booking confirmation we called up to confirm, at which they told us that it was confirmed, yet if we did not pay a deposit over the phone immediately we would lose the booking. Having then paid the deposit, upon settling the bill (after waiting ages) the waitress tried to say we hadn’t paid a deposit, and did not take it off the bill at first. The table next to us had the same problems as us and asked for their meals to be taken off the bill, and I wish we had done the same. Would not go again, atmosphere was okay, yet the singer was way too loud, and you could just see the disappointment on people’s faces when they were served their food.

The fish menu was excellent and the giant scallop starter was perfect, a main course of roast hake was cooked to perfection, (it can be tricky) and the roast salmon delicious. Christmas pud was excellent too, however the cheeseboard whilst well presented, was certainly by far the smallest I have experienced in several decades of eating out and whilst three cheeses were present as specified on the menu, the portions were exceedingly small. The staff were very attentive and polite (as usual) and the service was excellent and yes we did tip and of course would still recommend a visit.

Era un día muy frío y apenas había nadie en el café. El servicio por lo tanto fue bastante rápido y tuvimos una mesa agradable en la ventana. Los cafés estaban bien, pero los pasteles ... .. un pastel Bakewell y pastel de merengue de limón, aunque bastante grande debe haber sido varios días de edad, ya que estaban tan secos! Qué pena... ya que se veían bien... y hacía frío ahí dentro, así que no nos quedamos mucho tiempo.

I’m so sorry that this place has closed down! It’s been my go to for the last nine months after my return to Cardiff and has been by far my favourite spot in the area. Great service, wine and beer and open all day. How this place can be replaced I don’t know

Shocking from the waiter who charged us for drinks midway through our meal very bad table etiquette should of waited until after the meal

This restaurant is now called the Golden Curry and is under new management so Trip Advisor you need to change some of the information on your site.We went for a meal on Saturday night and it was absolutely stunning. Fresh, colourful, tasty with beautiful herbs and spices. My king prawns were the best I have ever tasted. The staff could not possibly have been more attentive. Such lovely people. Highly recommended!

The food came late so it was not that hot and the food itself wasn't as nice as we've had on other occasions.

Fantastic meal, took my son for his Birthday . We had beef rib, chicken wrap , halloumi burger, and the quality and service was perfect
