I have been to Zucci’s s loads of times before and always had lovely food and great service. We had a table booked at 7.20 on Saturday for 3 of us. When we booked we were told that they would need the table back by 9pm. Fair enough. We ordered quite quickly and our drinks and starters arrived promptly. By 8.50pm, an hour and a half after we had arrived, I asked when our mains would arrive and was told that our order had got muddled up with an order for a table of 20 so they would get to us as soon as they could. The waitress took our order for another round of drinks which she said would be on the house to compensate for the wait. We then watched a number of tables being served their food including people who had arrived after us. Our mains finally arrived at 9.15pm. As always the food was amazing. After about 5 minutes a waiter came over with the dessert board and said that we could order desserts on the house and, if we were full, could take them away. We said we would see how we felt when finished our mains and he left the board with us. We finished our food and a waitress came to ask if we wanted to desserts. We said we would like them to takeaway, on the house, as promised and she said oh no, we would most definitely have to pay for them because we had had a round of free drinks. We said we would leave it. My sister then went to pay the bill and we had been charged for the second round of drinks but they had taken the service charge off, which was discretionary anyway. My sister asked for the drinks to be taken off which they did but put the service charge back on. We had had good food and understand that sometimes things get out of order in the kitchen and that that isn’t the waiting staff’s fault so we paid. As we were leaving I said to the waitress that it was a real shame because we had always had such a good experience in the past. Instead of just apologising she said that it wasn’t the waiting staff’s fault which I acknowledged but said that there still has to be some collective responsibility. Then in a sarcastic and nasty tone that she said that she would look forward to my tripadvisor review. I said that she would, on this occasion, sadly, be getting one, to which she replied, bring it on. It was this last interaction that has prompted me to write this review. We remained calm and civil throughout but the waitress’s comments at the end were unpleasant and totally uncalled for. We shall take our business elsewhere in future.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting this fabulous cafe. Actually on two occasions for a delicious coffee, latte and flat white, both made perfectly, and one occasion for a beer. Every visit, Cath the proprietor greeted us with her humorous outlook, what a delight, we laughed so much. We purchased a homemade pastie and quiche for our journey home, both were delicious. All the staff were delightful, we will definitely visit again someday.

Quirky little tea room/coffee shop offering something different in one corner of the Market Place. The clue is in the name - the menu is Austrian-themed and run by two friends who serve home-made treats and make most of the crafts which are for sale in the shop. Their goulash soup with bratwurst is a steal at under £3, and makes a hearty lunch, while sweet items include stollen or apple strudel and cream for a mere £1.40. The cafe also offers gluten, sugar and dairy-free products - plus a range of healthy treats for dogs, including doggy beer! Service was on the slow side, but very charming!

Great place, each room is dedicated to a specific aeroplane and log burner in each room. Lovely welcoming staff and lovely and warm the weather outside was extremely cold. The food was delicious the best rib eye steak Ive ever had. We don’t live in the area were just visiting but now looking to come back to the area just to come back to the pub

We have visited a couple of times for a tapas lunch, and our latest visit was again really good. The pub was quiet, so the tapas didn't take long to arrive. The food was very tasty, we ate every last scrap. There were large screen TV's showing sport, which personally I don't mind. There was music playing, but the speaker in the front room needs sorting out as it kept crackling. Outside, the pub has a large beer garden offering a range of heated & covered rooms, open fronted sheds and cosy hideaways along with outdoor tables; it is a lovely area. The inside of the pub has a range of rooms off the main bar area, and is well presented. The drinks are priced comparably with other pubs, I think it was around £5 per pint, so maybe just a little bit more. There was only one bar staff member, but as the pub was quiet we were served quickly. Can't comment on how the service is when it's busy as we are afternoon visitors. We enjoyed our visit, and we will be visiting again.
