Made the trip from Bristol after hearing rave reviews and was not left disappointed. We went for Sunday roast, though the rest of the menu sounded equally delicious, will have to come back for their pub grub selection! The roast was beautifully presented, a very decent portion size and every single thing on it was to tasty. We made sure the keep room for deserts - cannot recommend the sticky toffee pudding enough! The staff were all lovely and there’s such a nice vibe here, we will definitely be making another trip.

Return visit Quiet Monday morning Always enjoy using this coffee lounge in preference to main cafe Good coffee but spoilt by the price of the Tea Cake Now charging £4.99 Most places I visit charge £3.50 Shall not be rushing back

Just popped in for a quick stop after visiting the wonderful Lacock Abbey. On the positives, the staff were kind and seated us quickly. We had cream tea which was nice. Unfortunately we must have hit rush hour because it was pretty busy, we waited for a while to be served and it took a long time to pay.

We came here for lunch and as we’ve been several times before, I was expecting to have the chicken Caesar salad. Well the menu has changed and there were no salads to be had at all! I opted for the fishcakes. They were disgusting! Also, I think they should rename them potato cakes as I couldn’t find any fish by taste or sight! And at £15 a plate, I thought it was absolute daylight robbery! I will never return to this place

After having a lovely few hours in Lacock we started looking for a place to have lunch. Red Lion was full with a long wait for tables so we tried Carpenters Arms which was closed. Reluctantly we tried this cafe. I put my mask on and walked in an an elderly gentleman without any form of greeting barked at me “do you have masks?!”. I explained that while I had one on, the kids didn’t have them and my sister-in-law did not have one but had a scarf she could cover her nose and mouth with. He barked again “it’s not the same as a mask is it, we’ve had a death in Lacock!!!!”. By then my S-I-L had found a mask but I was so disgusted I told him that his manner left a lot to be desired and that I wouldn’t be spoken to like that. Thanked him for his warm welcome and left. What a vile horrible man and reading some other reviews, it seems he’s there often. Avoid avoid avoid!
