The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Mount Hawke and Portreath Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Self serve wines were a bit of a faff. Nice place. Cheese and Charcuterie were ok. With one person serving other customers and preparing food it was a bit lack lustre if you wanted wine tasting experience and ask more about wines to choose, hence we opted for the self serve pre pay card machine, but kept malfunctioning, however the gent did all he could and was welcoming. I think it would be more interesting with a large group or event evening if you wished to try more wines.

Today was the first time I visited fit box but it won't be my last! I always struggle to find somewhere for food as my breaks are short and I need something quick but tasty. This place did not disappoint, the gentlemen behind the counter walked me through the menu and advised what is good. I chose the burrito with chicken and light mayo it was unbelievable and the best burrito I have ever had!

With clear views out to sea, pizza perfection, delightful smiley staff, who could wish for more. Undoubtedly the best pizza I have had in 20 years, have to say the blue cheese and garlic mushroom goes down in history as an all time favourite. Best to take your own beer or wine, some soft drinks available on site. Don't miss out on this pop up it is an absolute gem.

Food was very average. Assumed it would be nice considering how busy it was.

We went to the Pod four times during our week in Portreath for breakfast, coffee, cream tea and evening meal - excellent every time. Springsteen tracks on the playlist every time we visited as well which we enjoyed.

Our family met up here for a coffee before spending some time together on the beach. The lovely lady that served us couldn't do enough for us. Very friendly and a speedy service in a great little cafe

Awful experience. Arrived and drinks order was taken. Our drinks were put down and 5 minutes later taken away as the waitress said the syrup in the machine had ran out. Our food came out and the wrong pizza was served. We asked to have it changed to the correct pizza. My partner ate his food as it would have gone cold waiting for mine to come back out. The pizza came and was wrong again - the pizza had peppers on which I am unable to eat due to being allergic. They took the pizza away and picked the peppers off and reserved it again (3rd time). I did not realise that they had just picked the peppers off the pizza until over half way through eating it as there were some still in the middle underneath the salad on the pizza. Terrible service and now suffering from eating the food there. When we finished our food our plates were just left on the table - the waitress walked past twice empty handed and did not take the plates away. We then had to ask for the bill at the bar ourselves as no worker came to our table.

I have grown up in the village and to be fair the pasties were ok not the greatest but ok as I was growing up. However within the last year or two they are disappointing, I think the pastry has let them down as it’s a little soggy + 1/4 times it’s not warmed all the way through and although I love to support small businesses I really hope they can sort out their pasty basics and get on a winning recipe.

Lovely spot to shelter from the rain on a showery day in September. The staff were really friendly and very lovely with our little pooch. We had a couple of pizzas and both were really tasty! Great place to pop in whilst enjoying the beach.
