Lunch was pretty decent for price paid, service was great, Gail was very friendly.

Love this cafe. The food is always great, service is excellent and the atmosphere is buzzy. Our breakfast today was simply excellent. Called the Salmon Breakfast it was 2 perfectly poached eggs, sliced avocado, smoked salmon and a slice of toast. Coffee was excellent too!

We went on a very busy Sunday which meant a reduced menu. Considering how busy it was, they did a fairly good job. Food let them down slightly though, unfortunately. Soggy pastry in the mushroom wellington, and a few plates came out missing things. Overall a nice pub though.

We are two friends who go for Sunday lunch every few weeks & try to find a new venue each time. The Papermakers Arms is one the Wrinkly Munchers will definitely visit again. Great, peaceful country atmosphere, friendly & attentive staff without being pushy. Reasonably priced & excellent food. We chose the roast beef and the beef bourguignon; both of which were delicious & perfectly presented. Apple crumble to follow was perfect. Not a huge menu (which I think is a plus as it indicates freshly prepared rather than microwave reheat) but good choice of locally sourced & seasonal food.
