Don't allow dogs. Nice staff but none seem happy. Sausage sandwich could have had a bit of butter, dry bread and cheesy sausage.

Very popular local community pub on the Landport Estate in Lewes. We visited for a cards evening and the pub was very busy. Average selection of ales and not aware that they do evening food but they did provide sandwiches etc for the cards evening. If you want a good meal then you would be better placed eating elsewhere in the town as this is mainly a games/drinking pub.

Having had a walk round town to find a fish & chip shop we passed the old plough with lots of people sitting outside & it looked really inviting. A welcoming staff member taking glasses back in let us go ahead of us & saw I was looking at the board informed me they do have a kids menu. As the menu had fish & chips most of us went for it & when ordering the bar lady was really patient as we had to return to the table to ask a question. She was lovely with my youngest too when she ordered her drink. The meals were beautifully cooked the fish said hand battered & it was so crisp & light & the chips were crisp & fluffy inside. The bar lady didn’t need to be asked to bring my youngests dessert as that was included in the kids deal. We had actually forgot so her attentiveness to our service was very good. I often think it’s hard for waiting staff to get a balance of checking on patrons to be approachable/present without disturbing them. All the staff were really friendly & able to help us as when needed it. We will definitely return to the old plough as the menu looked quite wide usual pub fayre but our last meals were anything to go by we’re sure the rest of the menu will be of the same standard. Thanks to the staff for a lovely meal & lovely service.

Lovely meal, really interesting ideas in a small but perfectly formed menu - 3 pasta dishes, 3 mains. The antipasti were large enough to share and the house wine was good. Excellent dessert. Wine a tad slow to arrive but the service was very friendly.

Staff were friendly but we waited 40 minutes for sandwiches. I was told that they had lost our order due to a technical issue. When the food arrived it was mediocre and not worth the wait. As an apology they offered a free drink; when I requested a drink for each of us I was told that it was one drink between four of us, so clearly not really an apology at all. We were also absolutely freezing by the time our food came despite having winter coats on because the heaters weren't working. Again, I was told this was due to a technical issue.

A little cold and empty but I know it's a great little pub when busy.

This is the worst pub in Seaford, in fact I would go as far as to say it’s the worst pub in East Sussex! The land lady is rude and arrogant! Only go in this pub if you like getting really drunk with a load of yobs and want to buy drugs. If so this is the pub for you!

Having read the previous excellent good reviews it appears we must have called on an off day. Having ordered their roasted tomato soup topped with pesto, when it arrived it was as though the kitchen had opened a tin of tomatoes and processed through a blender. Very disappointing!
