Pearson’s restaurant at the Cricketers Arms is an absolute gem - you will struggle to eat this well at any restaurant regardless of price, let alone in such a warm, friendly and characterful pub. 10/10!

We visited the Seafood Bar after seeing it when we bought fresh fish from the adjoining shop. First impressions are that this is just like an Italian simple quayside cafe with an English Brighton Lanes/Borough Market feel. Food a total surprise and wonderful. Those Posh Chips are deceptively filling and soooo delicious, fish roll, scallop roll etc superb. The mussels fresh from the landing boat smell of the sea! Staff very friendly (but not familiar) and always cheerful. I know all the positive reviews of this young cafe will make finding a table difficult but we have so few truly good places to eat that I have to take that chance. This is Nirvana for non meat eaters . Oh, I forgot the music in the area with bench tables and huge oil drum brazier in front of the cooking hut. Very Brighton feel with 70s/80s hits! We are off today for Sunday ‘lunch’ and shall be inside because of the rain. Husband loves the Champagne Beer. He almost fell over with shock at the low price too. I have Americano Coffee (no fancy barista stuff here) and it is seriously good. Wine list impressive, blankets to go over the knee should shivers set in as we are beside the quay. So if you find funds deny your overseas break this year, come along to Seafood Bar and enjoy the continental harbour taverna ambience.

Had a wonderful afternoon with friends at aFic this week. Colin has beautiful wines and lovely snacks (we had tempura prawns, breaded mushrooms, cheese & crackers). Just the best! Booking advised.

Amy and this great takeaway coffee van has been one of the best things that has appeared in Farnham recently and has made our dog walks that little bit special. She always has a smile and a friendly welcome for us and our dog. The coffee is lovely and the cakes are unbelievable. Our favourite is the bakewell slices and the peanut millionaire shortbread. Look for thecoffeevancompany on Instagram to find out where she is every day - you won't be disappointed.

My go to coffee and cake place in herne bay. I'm not vegan, but i love it here. Really nice atmosphere with lovely staff. Nice to have a selection of books for sale and an area for little ones to wind down. Coffee is superb and has every type of dairy alternative you can name. I recommend oat milk with an americano if you're new to this. It's a vegan establishment throughout, including the cakes, which for my money are the best in town. Ample in size and rich in taste. On a sunny day it's a sun trap on the pavement and ideal for people watching. The wonderful outlook from inside offers sea views and just a great place to relax and enjoy the best of herne bay.

So we visited several places to hold my wife's 70th birthday, but she fell in love with Bar Orange straightaway. There is an open front area ideal for dancing an area behind for eating and chatting adjacent to the bar and a rear section with a snooker table that be covered over for food. There is also a rear enclosed outside section, which I believe is heated. I went to a 40th before ours with the dj we used, and we visited again as an 18th was being prepared and decided the way they had the tables was just right for us too. So we were getting on for 70 people. Several people had volunteered food, but despite my wife thinking we might not have enough, it turned out to be way too much. A terrific night was had by all. A friend said,'Where did you find this place? It's great!' I ought to thank the staff who were so helpful and flexible. Thank you, Bar Orange. My wife was one happy lady!!

First revisit for about a year. Dropped in with the dog for a large black coffee and to do the crossword. Four friendly lads beavering away behind the counter and serving inside and out. Bustling inside and out. Stack of newspapers on a side table and shared with old ladies. Same wide selection of hot and cold snacks, pastries and much more. They brought my large coffee to one of the tables outside. Kindly loaned me a biro to do the crossword in my own paper. Full sun, traffic not as close or disturbing as I or the dog expected. A very relaxed way to spend half an hour. Some Lycra clad lads turned up my cycle run, numerous folk came and went. The feel remains affable, welcoming and offering anything you might want. Remains highly recommended, even more so than before.

What a fabulous coffee shop. The customer service was second to none and they went out of their way to supply vegan food. We'd been to another place in Heathfield first and it was very disappointing - Noakes was so different. The staff were great, the customers were friendly, and my dog was made welcome.

Lovely views, great cream tea and ploughman’s lunch! Staff and owner were lovely. Begrudge writing this review because I’d love to keep it secret!

Great coffee (maybe the best in Maidstone!) and friendly service. The ambience is very calming and the Momo dumplings are a must try.
