Went here for my mums birthday, private hire. The food was great, cakes where lovely. Cannot fault in any way. Grrat staff who looked after us all afternoon. Thank you

Attractively decorated social outlet for the local Neptune Brewery. Great selection of beers available in a number of volumes, from a half pint, through a two thirds pint to a pint. Relaxed, friendly vibe. Good selection of wines and single distiller spirits available.

Nice little caffee, lovely food at reasonable prices

I contacted the cabin early April to arrange a little get together for my sisters 50th birthday x they reserved half the venue for us. I was allowed to bring my own food and set up a small Buffett table communication was great from start to finish and nothing was too much I honestly can’t thank the staff enough. They also booked a singer from 6pm which was brilliant x

went with my mother and sister for a treat as it was her birthday and a birthday breakfast is always a good idea! I've never been before but wow! we turned up and it was very, very busy which wasn't surprising. thankfully we had ordered a table which we were assigned to very quickly. The staff looked worn out and they were apparently understaffed this day but boy did they work hard! I felt sorry for them as an entire cycle team arrived but they were very friendly and welcoming. Didn't wait very long for our order and the staff were very polite. the food then it was arrived was piping hot and wow what quality! i got the big breakfast and boy its big! the bacon was so tasty. great sausages and fried eggs. It was a huge task to finish but i managed to. It was lovely. My mum and sister had the omelette with onion and cheese and their exact words when they started eating were "wow this is huge". Food quality again was tremendous. This appears to be a secret place for wonderful food which i'm delighted to have found. the price is really, really reasonable too. My mum and sister have been before and i never have before as I've always been in work. i may book a holiday next time they visit haha. Credit to the staff for working so hard and the food quality is off the charts. I told my mum i would write a review and she said "thats nice....you may reveal how good this place is though and when we'll never get a table" haha. Fantastic bar in the heart of Maghull, with a range of beers and spirits on offer. The customer service is excellent from Belinda and her team and we will be returning again soon.

I'm a professional support worker who took a severely handicapped man for a breakfast. On arrival at the counter area, we waited.....and waited.......and then waited some more as service staff flitted past us without so much as an acknowledgement or an "be with you in moment" ....which would have been nice. When I WAS finally acknowledged by the sour-faced, young harpy in attendance, I was summarily informed that "breakfasts have finished." When I enquired what time breakfast is served until, she said "11:30.." I took out my phone and showed her the GMT which quite clearly read 11:27 am, in tandem with the café's website statement that breakfasts are actually served until 11:45 am. There were also still PLENTY of breakfast ingredients within the hot-plate area which had by no means been cleared away as yet. When I stated that we had easily been there just haplessly "waiting" and being totally ignored since 11:20 am.....I was told... "Well....we've all been busy." I therefore boldly insisted that I WOULD be expecting the requested breakfasts... regardless. With a totally lacklustre and frosty attitude, the requested breakfasts DID materialise, and were very well cooked and presented. What a total pity that this establishment is obviously understaffed, and that those who ARE currently in a public facing role, seem to have become very visibly embittered about the challenges this understaffing presents. What should really be a seamless, friendly and "well announced" transition from breakfast serving to lunch serving, became a contentious and disingenuous affair, and left us feeling that the staff member in question harboured nothing but contempt for the fact that this was currently HER job, perhaps feeling that the restaurant's customers are not only "stupid" (and can't tell the time) ...but that they'll for one minute, put up with the utterly atrocious, inhospitable attitude she seems to think, passes as "service" within what is otherwise.....a very pleasant venue.
