During recent visit to see friends & family I visited Neptune twice. I had high hopes (being a big real ale fan, a supporter of local/independent businesses whenever possible, & having heard positive things). The place itself is nice & the staff are great. I tried several ales (cask & other) but was generally disappointed. All were rather "meh". This could just be a personal taste thing or a by-product of having a cold I suppose. Will give it another go next time in Maghull.

The beer house is a great place to sample the ever growing but always amazing beers. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly for all, including four legged friends. A place to chill and chat, while sampling quality beers 🍻 We are luck to have it in Maghull.

Attractively decorated social outlet for the local Neptune Brewery. Great selection of beers available in a number of volumes, from a half pint, through a two thirds pint to a pint. Relaxed, friendly vibe. Good selection of wines and single distiller spirits available.

Great food and drink from evening visits, however the only issue I have is that whenever I visit at 9am for breakfast, the kitchen is always closed and doesn't open till after 9:30 - 10am. Even though it states 9am on everything else. If they could sort the kitchen side of things out it would be a great addition to college road, Crosby.

I walked for a hour to your cafe with my dog, and was looking forward to having a full English breakfast only to get there and find out dogs were not welcome. I was hugely disappointed! Not even an option to sit outside? We ended up going into Dobbies instead and had a full English breakfast in their dog friendly cafe.
