Nice pub on golf course. Was staying at Wychwood Hotel. Nice to have a walk round the site and stop off here for a drink. Lovely drinks area, seating comfortable. Staff friendly

My favourite antique outlet in the country. About an hours travel for me, but we'll worth it. Lots of free parking plus two cafes.

Having just moved into the area, we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit last month. Sunday lunch for four was a not inconsiderable £140 but admirable quality and competent service. Yesterday's brunch was a completely different affair. Despite being served by five different members of staff, our food took an absolute age to appear. When it did, a number of breakfast items were either lukewarm or cold. Baked beans served in a twee metal saucepan which was red hot to the touch but the contents barely warmed through were returned. A decent quality mushroom was stone cold and the Day-Glo egg yolks suggested a cheap bulk buy. Extras? Mini hash browns with an unpronounceable sauce, the emphasis on mini. At £4.50 not a big hit with us. A tiny half-slice of black pudding was charged at £1. Beyond cheapskate when I'm parting with £80 for four breakfasts including teas and coffee. A discretionary 7.5% service charge is added here. Under the circumstances it could have been withheld, but the onus is on the customer to complain. Which I did, but many wouldn't. No sign of a duty manager, just lots of staff seemingly lacking direction or motivation. "At Parogon Group, our journey is one of growth, ambition, and a love for great hospitality." Inspiring qualities but certainly not our experience.
