One of the better Costa coffees around.

Great service - it was my first time but it was clear that lots of people come back again and again, and I will now be one of them. We just chose sandwiches, chips and chipolatas as we were a large group but the food was excellent - freshly prepared with generous portions.

I’ve been to this location a few times(Great Portland Street), but unfortunately, my recent experience(12.4.2025 at 10:35am) left me very disappointed. My friend and I ordered Dirty Chai Lattes via the app, and while my friend’s order was ready quickly and tasted fine, mine was another story. For the second Saturday in a row, my Dirty Chai Latte had no hint of chai or coffee—it tasted like plain hot milk. I decided to return it and politely ask for a replacement. Unfortunately, the barista (a young man with a scar on his eyebrow) responded in a passive-aggressive and defensive manner, insisting there was nothing wrong with the drink. Thankfully, a female staff member stepped in and kindly offered to remake it. During the process, the original barista grabbed a bottle of chai syrup from the shelf—apparently the one he had been using was empty, which likely explains the lack of flavor in the first drink. He then added an excessive amount of syrup and made intense eye contact with me, which felt unnecessarily confrontational. To make things worse, he forgot to add the coffee entirely, resulting in an overly sweet drink that was even worse than the first. At that point, I decided not to continue the conversation in-store, but I will be contacting the general manager to report the experience. It’s incredibly frustrating to pay premium prices for a product that’s poorly made—not just once, but twice—and to be treated with hostility when raising a genuine concern. I hope the management team addresses the quality control and staff training at this location, as this kind of experience reflects poorly on the Black Sheep Coffee brand.

Right opposite Bayswater tube on the corner, 3 mins walk from Princess Diana Park. It is tiny, space for a small family of 3 and a couple at a push. Seating area at the back wasn't open but fun to sit in the window people watching. Food is fab, BIG portions, budget friendly, loads of choice.

The principle of this restaurant is excellent and the staff and friendly and discrete, none of that constant asking you if you are enjoying the food. The food is well cooked and presented and the drinks are interesting in how they follow the restaurant principles. However, the restaurant could a)Explain their ethos a bit more and this is why (for example) you cannot have a slice of lemon with water and b) Be a bit more creative on alternatives - mint for example. There is a very mild whiff of 'love us or not' but not enough context. I think this would help customers understand more and even help spread awareness and the thinking of the restaurant. Without this the unaware might find it a bit odd at times. The main issue is portion size - the food is beautiful and tasty, but there is no danger of you being served more than you can eat. I understand the desire to manage waste and run at a profit, but, please don't run a restaurant where guests can leave hungry.

Everything about Baker and Spice’s new dinner menu is delicious. From the Tuna to the Chicken and the delicious chili brownie, it is so cleverly done. The cocktails were delicious and I loved the fun take on their London made organic wine! The ambiance was so lovely and Nicola our waitress was brilliant. Such a cool place!

Dropped by for a smoothie and a pastry. Staff were super friendly and the Red smoothie is amazing! Reasonably priced and quick service.

Went to the Froth and Rind cafe at the church, 11.30am Saturday morning, the menu is limited but have been told the sausage rolls are very good. There were none left apparently at 1130 Saturday morning. The only other option was a salad which was very tasty but overpriced. The cafe also had no tea available at this time, maybe someone could sort out the supplies or pop down to the local shop for teabags.
