Our experience at Markus was simply amazing. The coffee itself was as good as any we have EVER had (and we are both coffee people). It was so good we went back every day of our trip and got to see Zara every morning. Zara is AMAZING....so kind and fun to talk to. If you are going to London and love coffee, this is a must visit.

We lived in Connaught Square in the 1970s and I have childhood memories of Markus in his coffee shop and the wonderful smells of roasting coffee all along Connaught Steet.

Really nice iced coffee and herbal tea. Nice setting in amongst all the coffee machines and beans or out on the street on a little table. Friendly elderly guys serving you in this cute coffee shop. Only warning is that the price displayed are for take out only and if you eat or drink in there's an extra 20% charge.

Just the smell of the freshly roasted coffee beans pulls you into this place. Good selection of pastries too.

The aroma drove me to enter this shop. As a former resident of Cairo, I have missed the smell of authentic Turkish coffee. I asked the manager if her could make me a Turkish coffee blend and he did, promptly, with exquisite flair and a delightful spice mix, including cardamom. 5£ for a 250 bag!

this is the place to go. Knowledgeable owner, friendly staff - and I always go for their blend of dark and light Brazilian Santos coffee if buying beans.

Great coffee and service, staff was pleasant. Nice place to sit and sip, read your paper or book, and people watch out the window.

We bought coffee beans. We were promised the beans were roasted yesterday. They smelled fantastic and were fresh indeed!

I have bought their expresso blend for many years as I have passed through London and the coffee shop is always a very pleasing experience. The variety of coffees are incredible and has been a consistant independent ever since. The coffee they serve on their americano is possibly the best I've ever had.

So much said about Marcus coffee. It has been around for tens of years but to me (I am not a coffee lover) is nothing special. It is an old, dated coffee room which offers a wide variety of coffees. Limited snacks are available.

Such a lovely little coffee shop which sells a wide range of beans and makes great coffee too. Worth seeking out, not far from Marble Arch

Tiny Coffee shop near Hyde Park, but a real gem of a find! We fancied coffee and cake mid-afternoon whilst visiting London and this place was recommended. The group of 6 of us were looked after by a smiley man who certainly knows his coffee and was happy to make recommendations depending on your tastes. Coffee and cakes were amazing and the paninis went down very well too! Worth visiting if ever you are in the area as it's a great little independent coffee shop which has been here since the 1950's.

If you happen to pass by when they are roasting their beans the pull to go inside is almost too much to resist. The very charming owner is very knowledgeable about all coffee matters as are the friendly staff. With famous (or infamous?!) neighbours who...

We had a lovely afternoon relaxing at this quaint and classic little coffee shop. Wonderful cappuccino and a nice selection of treats too. Will definitely be back when in London.

Came across this shop after reading about it in a newspaper. The shop has such a lovely feel to it and the coffee is terrific, for me the best in London thus far. Their jam coconut cake was wonderful, and everything reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

All fantastic: the food choice, the quality, the staff. I truly recommend for both breakfast and lunch.

Last evening we went as a group friends 9 in total to the restaurant. The quality and the quantity of food was poor. When we complained to one of the member of stuff, asking to see the manager or chef, no one came to us to explain or apologise! Definitely Won't go back ever again. ☹

We booked a wine and cheese tasting while we were going to visit London. Sue took the reservation by email. The Leadenhal Market is beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed this tasting and the time spent educating ys on these wines and cheese was exceptional. Would definitely recommend this to everyone who loves taste and enjoy!!! Sue the owner is great!

The selection of beers on tap is one I’ve not seen in pubs in London, from the blue moon to the Leffe. The ambient is really great with red brick walls, timber, chesterfield sofas, a poker table even! Many sitting areas and massive, massive warehouse windows. Such a cool environment. The guy serving was v friendly too - highly recommended

Visited Wrights Cafe Pall Mall last weekend. The food was absolutely delicious! I also had a coffee and it was the best one i have had in the area….The prices are definitely on the cheaper side, especially for the area. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Definitely recommend to all!!!
