The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Broomfield and The Walthams Chelmsford East of England

We had a wonderful lunch at Cheerful Chai. It was relaxing and the food and service were fantastic. The food was freshly cooked and hot. The menu was great. Most importantly, the cakes all looked delicious and tempting!! I selected the carrot cake, which was lovely, but I was tempted to go back for more!! (I resisted, because I was full!). We didn’t feel in any way rushed, even though it was busy and near to closing time. Cheerful Chai is a great asset for Broomfield, although I’m quite sure people travel here from further afield.

Found this place on our way to another food place that we had searched for on Google. Decided to try here and am extremely glad we did. Welcomed by a friendly and helpful young lady, and then the service by all members of staff was pleasant, attentive, and helpful. Food was lovely, and the bartender made my wife a drink that she requested but was not on the menu! Our first time here, and we already said it will not be our last! Left very happy and full up!! 😊

My partner and I went for Sunday dinner and we both had the trio which was absolutely lovely. Haven’t been here for a while but will definitely be back very soon. Our server Steve was brilliant, friendly attentive, great customer service even though he seemed to be serving the whole area we were seated in single handedly. He spoke politely to all the customers and even threw a joke in with us which made us laugh. Only criticism I will add is they removed the banoffee pie a long time ago and I was hoping it may have been added to the menu again but sadly not, instead there is a banoffee choux bun which was ok but no where near as nice as the banoffee pie…. Please bring it back, best banoffee pie Iv ever had! The icecream that came with the choux bun was really nice with a lovely flavour. Compliments to the chef and kitchen staff for a great meal, we will be back again soon!

Have to say this is not a good advert for the contract caterer Ellior, if this is the best you can do hand back the keys and allow another company to run the coffee shop in Broomfield. This is my second visit in two weeks and can only confirm it is worse and not something I would want to use again. Caked in counter not programmed in the till so three operators to work one till whilst the queue grows is unbearable when I finally sat down noticed two ladies on laptops with Ellior logos meeting, hopefully they were working out how to program the till either way this whole cafe concept needs a major update and send in a team from head office to sort it out. I can't believe this is the flagship cafe in this giant hospital on Broomfield. I would not use this if I did not have an alternative to sit down whilst visiting the hospital. P.s. don't order the millionaire shortcake or the salted caramel muffins unless you want the service to stand to a halt ....
