Stopped off for lunch after seeing the van on TicTok and was actually considering sticking around until I’d finished eating and ordering again. Sooooo good and a nice change from the usual greasy spoon van food about! I will be back and please visit but go early to avoid missing out.

We were over at Belfast on holiday and found this restaurant on a web search. We're so glad we found it. It's about 15 outside of the city centre but worth the travel. The food was amazing, and the portion sizes were big. I can eat...but I couldn't eat all of this. Frienldy and helpful staff. Made our last night here a one to remember. Thank you.

I really wish I could be writing a good review as I’d heard so many good reports. Sadly I’m not. Hubby and I went for Sunday lunch, we were quickly seated and had a look at the menu. We ordered drinks and food. The drinks arrived promptly. After sitting for almost an hour and noticing other people were being served before us we enquired about our food. Our 2 Sunday roasts then arrived stone cold, they were obviously sitting somewhere and forgotten about. We complained to the young waitress who called the manager. She asked what the problem was, I told her about the wait, and even asked her to feel how cold the food was, she didn’t. Her response was ‘we are very busy’ !!!! So maybe being busy is excuse enough to serve cold food???? We said we’d leave and just pay for the drinks. She said we didn’t have to pay. Such a disappointing visit. We won’t be back.

Food was nice but only frustrating thing is you order a meal deal and only choice is fries , no ability to upgrade them. When you ask to pay difference you’re told to buy them separately. Feels like you’re begging to get what you want. That’s the only thing that would put me off going here.

Food was delicious, but it seemed to be you leave your plates behind and go up to the till to pay. That was fine but I asked the girl at the till for a takeaway box as I wanted to take half of my meal home. As we waited for someone to bring out a takeaway box, I noticed that another waitress had cleared our table. This was disappointing as we had paid £13 a meal and I wanted to finish the rest. Overall lovely food but would be good if waitresses came to the table to clear away food so you can ask for takeaway boxes.

I've been ordering at Boojum religiously since 2010 (including an extended period of eating them twice a week for my lunch), and would have always sung its praises to anyone who would listen. It was always a real pleasure of an occasion, eating a Boojum bowl, day or night. I've eaten them in their hundreds over the past decade. But there cannot be any doubt, in my mind, that as prices have shot up, quality and consistency has dropped, and dropped sharply. Where once you didn't mind at all paying the prices because the portions were tasty and generous, it seems over the past 18 months or so a penny-pinching malaise has taken permanent root. Whether it's the toss-up of getting a decent portion or a half-filled bowl for your £9, or the order being wrong when Deliveroo bring it, or having to beg for more than a teaspoon of guacamole, or clearly seeing that the pulled pork portion is laughable when you pull back the lid, you really get the clear impression it is no longer about the food and experience anymore. It's about firing food out as fast as you can, and quality control being an afterthought. I don't just apply this to the Chichester Street branch, the Botanic branch has gone the same way. I don't have the heart to give Boojum a "poor" score overall, given the history of wonderful meals i've had. And you may go there and get the biggest, best bowl of your life. But i can no longer openly recommend it, not with the inconsistencies and price point.
