Waited 45 minutes in a queue of more than 20 people, while they stood looking at us and made online orders instead Had to ask twice to prioritise the people physically inside the shop

Could have been better. Food top notch with great portions. Ended up in someone's kitchen at 6 am obliterating the most rancid powdered elixir known to man. Then got psychosis. Loving the new reaper sauce

Best burritos. But you will spend a long time waiting, while online orders magically jump the queue and get sorted before you. Took nearly half an hour to get served today.

You'd be better placing your order on Just Eat and have it delivered to your table. 20 minutes so far and we have barely moved, meanwhile a legion of deliveroo and just eat drivers continue to come and go! Never seen a business prioritise people sitting at home, when the queue in store is literally out the door. I'm finding more and more reason lately to stop going ro boojum!

Ordered a boojum for delivery - one vegetarian and one not. Burritos were not marked in any way at all to differentiate which one was which and as of such I had to let my partner take a bite out of one and try to guess. He actually got it incorrect and was half way through the one he was eating before realising it was vegetarian. Luckily I had only taken one bite from the meat one and hadn't actually eaten any of the meat. I think in general this store would benefit from marking separate burritos for delivery in general but specifically when one is vegetarian. The half of my burrito I got to eat was nice but the whole thing was off-putting and I probably wouldn't order from this store again unless this changed.

Got a burrito and Tacos from this place on Sunday past and now I and my partner have food poisoning. Will never be back. Very disappointed.

Staff are way slower than they used to be.

Been a big lover of boojum over the years, but the portion sizes for the price are a disgrace. Penny pinching with all portions and there’s never any consistency with the price. Portions depend on who is working on the day - wouldn’t recommend.

The staff are extremely rude and clearly don’t want to be there. The food has went down hill rapidly.

Good place if you are very hungry and don't want to spend a lot of money. The portions are very generous and they have a thousand sauces to choose from.

I went to last night 27 oct’24 . I clearly told that girl i want the veg burrito bowl . That employee was so rude she didn’t respond properly about the things i want particular she was in hurry . And what not after coming home i got to know she added the prawns as well.

Really tasty food, there was a queue but it moved fast .

Still can't quite get my head around Boojum. There's always a strong start, though by the end it doesn't feel great. It's as if the ingredients have had enough of each other by the time they're in my stomach.

Portions are so small for the price. I was happy to pay the price when you were getting a large bowl or burrito but someone has changed the portion sizes. The meat content is significantly less and when eating it you can't even see the meat when it's all mixed up. Not fair on the staff to be having to dish out tiny portions to people out of the blue, they probably get the blame. Would be worth sorting out. Boojum will loose customers for sure. Either lower the price or return the portion sizes to what they were. It was tasty if a little expensive for what it is, but won't return if it stays like this. Side note: music is way too loud. Bonus:Staff are always really nice and pleasant.

Please remove the glasses. How are we supposed to order when there is 100 decibel music playing in the background and a glass that goes up to the ceiling at the place of ordering food and staff that are rude and disrespectful while constantly asking what I want and won’t hear because of the music and that glass barrier. What’s wrong with you lot? Train your staff better and remove that glass barrier. And once I was given pork to eat when I ordered queso and was given chorizo. Are you guys deaf? Or is that given on purpose? And very discriminating and hateful staff u have. I will try not to eat at your store because of those. I ordered a burrito bowl and the portions were too small. The service of the staff member who made my food was also not friendly.

Meat portions are tiny. Bowl is just filled with rice. Overpriced and overrated.

Food wasn't hot, the tiny spoon of chilli was barely noticeable in the eating and there were cold draughts in the seating area. The quality continues to drop here, and that's a real shame for something that used to be really looked forward to.

Taste has gone down hill, quite sad given how good it was several years ago.

Click and collect is a sham. They market it as given you the ability to 'skip the queue', but in reality I turned up and get told they haven't made the food yet and then I have to wait until they've emptied the queue before they make mine. I waited 25 minutes when it would have been faster to just join the queue. Portion sizes are still too small for the price also.

The portions have gotten so small, I paid for extra rice and guacamole - no more rice than normal and the guacamole was missing. The bowl was barely half full. At £9 it’s just not worth it anymore! Really disappointing.

Tasty and filling Mexican standard stuff. There was a decent range of optional toppings, and the chorizo crunch (fried cubes of chorizo mixed in with crumbled nacho shards) added great texture to my burrito. They offer a chickpea crunch version for the veggies, too! My barbacoa burrito was great, a hefty handful, and the 3* spicy chipotle salsa was just the right side of tingly-top-lip for me!

Ordered on Deliveroo, and turned up with missing drink and half full carton of food. Rang Boojon to complain and did not even get an apology, just you need to go through Deliveroo response. What a joke, joining the many reviewers who feel that have been well and truly ripped off.

Absolutely shocked at what i had got, I had ordered salsa on two rice boxes which were missing and had also missing tortilla chips which I got guacamole as a side to go with them but had just received the guacamole, when I rang the store she had told me to contact deliveroo as if it’s there job to put the salsa on my food or to pack the chips this is shocking customer service as I am a regular to boojum and am very disappointed.

My husband went to Boojum Botanic drove from Lisburn, got two buritto bowls. When I have started eating all I could taste was just salt, guacamole was pure salt, so whole meal was ruined as guacamole was all over everything. I have rang and said to the girl on the phone whole situation and that someone should try guacamole to what she said she doesnt like guacamole so she wouldnt taste it and to make complaint to Uber which I explained again my husband drove to get it. I know misatkes can happen but staff should maybe try what they sell and mainly maybe some customer service training as girl on the phone told me to call round tomorrow and get money back and hang up.

Tbh, it's probably one of the most overrated food places of all time. The burritos are always nearly ice cold no matter what, and for some reason it appears that there's barely any flavour in anything. This place seems to overly rely on copious amounts of hot sauce to give the food flavour, as everything else seems barely seasoned. The mexican rice is mexican in name only, and has basically no flavour. Generally most of the options lack in flavour and are very bland, it's basically Mexican food for people who don't like Mexican. It's more akin to a Subway than anything actually Mexican. I feel like if you've ever been to the USA or Mexico and had real Mexican food, this place is a 2/5 for food, but if you haven't maybe it's a 4. Also the music they play is awful and annoying, and the toilets are absolutely vile, truly disgusting. Highly doubt I'll be back as I've tried it 3 times now and I've decided it kind of sucks.

I Have been to all Boojums but the Botanic one beats them all .. greeted by a guy called Francis as to be the friendliest guy EVER! Bought a Boojum bowl which I absolutely love thanks 😊 will defo be back .. ps Francis is a real credit to Boojum

Super feed but sometimes the additional condiments; cheese, salsa, guacamole can negatively affect the heat of the burrito.

A friend recommended this place as we were visiting Belfast on a girls trip and I can understand why! We didn't know what to expect and it's initially a little confusing as there are so many options! But all the staff were so helpful in explaining everything to us..... I'd describe as a Mexican version of Subway if that makes sense! You choose your dish (burritos, tacos, rice bowl etc) then select meat, then ask staff to add whichever toppings you want from salad trays, then add any extra toppings at a little extra cost if you want, and lastly pick a sauce. The staff then expertly rolled our burritos and they were HUGE! We were expecting a small snack but it filled us up all day! and perfect for a busy day as the food was ready within minutes, we ate up enjoying our food and were on our way again within a half hour! There is a large clean seating area to eat in. Only slight negative is that there is only 1 toilet for the restaurant and other customers were taking aaaaaages, so there was quite a long wait for this - and you do need to use the toilet if for no other reason that to wash your hands as the sauce dripped everywhere! :-P Highly recommend if in Belfast, we are only sad that we never did get chance to pop back for a return visit!

Nice place. Good food. Good staff. Toilets aren't very clean at times. But Good to see the shop busy. I would imagine keeping the toilets clean would be hard, when there's so many younger disrespectful teens coming in. Overall a very good eatery 👌

Had such a nice vegatarian burrito here, very tasty. Highly recommend! 1 burrito was around £8-9 depending on sitting in or takeaway. You can choose what goes into your burrito from rice, sauce, filling (beef, veggie alternative etc), kind of like subway in that sense.

I guess they’re selling well because it’s really hard to find something to eat around Belfast. So if you’re out of options you can try burrito here. I don’t regret but I didn’t like it either. Because, they use basmati rice for burrito and the seasoning of the rice weren’t satisfactory. (Seriously, at least wash the rice well.) Beans tasted fine but didn’t look like Mexican style. Vegetable fry was very undercooked. Guacamole sauce was fine. Ps Lovely staff and nice interior.

Never been to Boojum before, service was quick and friendly. The portions were really good for your money, not my usual dine in place but enjoyed my first time there.

I'm a big Boojum fan, but recently they've dropped their standards, I'm constantly having to correct staff with my order and is it really that difficult to roll a burrito? Always seems like they make a hatchet job of it. It's the same across all the Belfast shops. Had 1 Staff member scoop all the spillage from the counter with their hands and then immediately went to serve me without washing their hands, I refused the food and left. Generally all staff are pleasant but there's always 1 or 2 who are just rude or sarcastic. Had 1 rude staff member say to me " so everything then?" No actually, there's about 6 items there that I don't want so wind your neck in. In the past it would have been 1 bad burrito in 10, now its 50/50 Hope Boojum get their act together as I always went out of my way for a treat but it's just not worth it at present.

Went here the other day. Got my usual burrito bowl with mexican rice, chicken, peppers and onions, lettuce, grated cheese and sweetcorn. Tasted lovely and I enjoyed it. However, around an 1 hour later, the boojum had upset my stomach and I was running to the toilet and quite frankly was in agony, as well as the days to follow. Never had this kind of experience with the other boojums in NI, won’t be going to this one again incase it was there chicken or peppers or whatever it was. My friend also experienced the same thing after eating his.

Food was tasty as always although could have been warmer. Slight mixup in the order as ordered a burrito and received a burrito bowl. Good portion sizes. Handy for a quick and filling dinner after a late night at work.

The chicken was a little dry, but I would return. The bowl is more value then the wrap.

Food is good. But if you're doing takeaway only can you tell me before I order. Had paid and everything and the guy says it's takeaway only. If I actually waited till I was home it would be freezing cold.

Great food! It's a Mexican vibe...burritos, rice bowls, tacos etc. You select your base choose your fillings, toppings, salad and sauce ..simple. It was tasty food and definitely filling as the portions are generous so definitely go with an empty stomach. The seating area is vast but wooden and cold for winter time so we ate with our coats on. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely adore boojum, the food is always amazing and is a reliable choice for food. Which is why we went when absolutely starving but it was ruined by staff. The young man serving me literally stopped wrapping my burrito in order to finish his conversation (about nothing relevant) with the girl on the checkout. This wasn’t as bad as the girl on the checkout then talking away to him as I stood in front of her waiting to pay- no joke she fully ignored me for a good minute standing while talking about her life. Still gonna go to boojum, just never this one again.

One server really did mess everything up - the one at the end who wraps it up, dark hair, make up. Order was perfect, I ordered just a little bit of rice. At the last server when she was wrapping it, she suddenly left it, went and got a LOT of rice and a wrap and emptied half of my food into the new wrap, then scrapped the rest of my filling, peppers etc into bin. She said it was ripped. Fair enough - make it again, DON'T bin half my food and try to load on rice. Not the first time this girl has done this and seemed surprised I don't want to pay for an almost completely rice burrito and would rather go elsewhere. Bit shocking the waste this girl is causing from one customer.

We came here bexause we heard Dara O'Brien recommend Boojum on a podcast, and this branch os close to the Botanic Gardens. Be aware that this is much more a fast-food place than a restaurant - while we did sit down, the place has very loud music playing (weird 70s prog-rock from Deep Purple while we were there) which didn't exactly encourage us to make ourselves comfortable! It also made ordering slightly difficult as we were first-timers and need to learn the process. However, the burritos are excellent, and the range of options meant that all six of us ended up with quite different orders. I would definitely come back, but perhaps not to eat in next time.

Got a deliveroo order from here (which was a balls up too but a separate story) and The portion sizes were ridiculously small. Barely filled half way and spent over £25. Spent extra on more guacamole portions and got barely any. What a joke. Tiny portions and so expensive now- is there any need to be so stingy? Not the first time I’ve had this type of experience from the botanic avenue premises either. Please have a word.

As I advised in my previous review of this place, we stopped going to Boojum after the whole blasphemy thing. But we all missed it and decided to be magnanimous. So we resumed attendance and I'll admit it was pleasant to be back. I went today and had a beef burrito. Including guacamole the price was over £9. It was so small I had it eaten in a minute and needed to buy a second one. That's a fair bit of money for a solo lunch. But, far worse than this, there was a song on the PA system that was about drugs and sex and peppered with adult language. I personally can live with that, but it bespeaks a certain attitude on the part of Boojum. This was content entirely unsuitable for children...and I have two of primary school age. It was my intention to bring them one day soon, but now I see that families are not welcome. For the reasons articulated above, it's not a surprise that Boojum is generally empty. A few years ago it was always packed. Sadly, I've decided it was healthier when we eschewed the place. And, for the second time in 3 years, I have decided we won't be going back. Thank you.

Prices went up and portion sizes went down overtime. I've been a customer for over 12 years. I was really disappointed to find out today that whatever stamps I had on my loyalty card are gone. I was told that now there is a phone app that replaced the card and I cannot transfer my stamps over... Great way to treat your loyal clientele boojum.

What a unpleasant experience at @boojummex in Belfast today. Took my family to this place to have some food, my 10yo daughter does not like so I get home 5guys for her. She sat at the table waiting for us as we order our food and one member of the staff went directly to the child telling her not to eat there. So she went outside to the bench and sat and the same person came out side and said the same thing! Instead of speaking directly to the parents he turn himself to the child, what an unpleasant experience. Won't came back ever again !

The hygiene is awful and the staff are not friendly. I had eaten 10 boojums, 2 of which had bones in the chicken and on the 10th boojum I got food poisoning and was sick for 48 hours. Not a good time!
