I really wish I could be writing a good review as I’d heard so many good reports. Sadly I’m not. Hubby and I went for Sunday lunch, we were quickly seated and had a look at the menu. We ordered drinks and food. The drinks arrived promptly. After sitting for almost an hour and noticing other people were being served before us we enquired about our food. Our 2 Sunday roasts then arrived stone cold, they were obviously sitting somewhere and forgotten about. We complained to the young waitress who called the manager. She asked what the problem was, I told her about the wait, and even asked her to feel how cold the food was, she didn’t. Her response was ‘we are very busy’ !!!! So maybe being busy is excuse enough to serve cold food???? We said we’d leave and just pay for the drinks. She said we didn’t have to pay. Such a disappointing visit. We won’t be back.

Went for lunch b4 heading out Christmas shopping, after heading into Belfast on the train. Had been a few times when they were on bottom of the Newtownards Road and really enjoyed the food, and atmosphere, even bought our Xmas gravy off them last year we were so impressed with it. On to our Deer's Head visit......... They weren't that busy when we went in, ordered drinks and food together, one pt Guinness, one pint water n blackcurrant for the driver, & 2 Super Roast dinners. Drinks came quickly, but they had put blackcurrant in the Guinness as well, small mistake, easily corrected. Just shy of 40 minutes later lunch eventually arrived, and looked lovely. Had to order more gravy as very little on my wife's, noticed someone else doing the same, and ordered some cranberry sauce. The cranberry sauce, in a small paper cup, was litterally thrown onto the table without a word said by the waitress in charge, thankfully the gravy pot was placed with a little more care by another waitress. Long story short, the turkey & ham were fine, beef really quite tough, and I could barely get my fork through the sprouts. Got up and explained to the waitress in charge about the sprouts, who agreed to bring more as I didn't want to send my plate back. About 5 minutes later she left a small ramekin of sprouts on the table, with in fairness an apology. I went to lift a few onto my plate with my fork, only to discover they were also as hard as the first 4 so left them all where they were. Not once did anyone concern themselves as to whether we, or any of the other tables needed anything else. Paid the bill )again without being asked if we enjoyed it, or was everything ok) and left, and certainly won't be back. A complete contrast from the food and hospitality we enjoyed from these folks last year.

We had a couple of starters to share, wings and a plate of poached eggs with a massive twist. Absolutely delicious, the flavours were absolutely superb and our taste buds were crying out for more. The mains were a beef burger, again not your run of the mill but with a twist, two chicken Maryland burgers that wee both tasty and unique, and a lamb dish. The chef really knows his stuff and I wish him well in this new location.

What a great little find my husband found. We arrived at about 10:30 for breakfast but when they said the menu was served all day I had to have the chicken salad and lord have mercy it was so full of flavor! My husband’s breakfast sandwich special was smacking as well. I tried my sons scrambled eggs and they were the best scrambled eggs I have ever had! How

From the easy and pleasant online booking process, through a very enjoyable breakfast experience, everything about this place is top notch. We visited on New Years Day and ordered 3 Scullery Grills. Everything was perfectly cooked, quality of the food excellent, including the lovely Sourdough which is baked on site. Coffees pretty good too! What really makes this place though is the warm, congenial service. We will absolutely be back!

Called in today for a quick bite of lunch, the menu was small but the choice of food available was fantastic. I went for the Asian inspired pork belly with brussel sprout kimchi. The flavours and taste was pretty spectacular. The chef and owner is very passionate about what he does. The young girl on the floor had a great down to earth personality and the service was slick and really professional. This is a definite must if your ever in East Belfast, check it out. Their Sunday roasts are legendary so I'm told so I will be back soon to sample them too. Well done to all involved!

Visited Urban Scullery today for the first time.(hopefully the first of many visits). The food is beautiful, fresh and a bit quirky. It is also reasonably priced. My friend and I had lunch and a couple of coffees each for £25. excellent service from all staff. There is a small wait for food as everything is freshly made. It is worth it.

The best Sunday Roast I have tasted ( unless I cooked it myself), everything tasted like it should it had that straight out of the oven taste and was served at the correct temperature, it was well presented and of generous portions. I will insist on making a return visit next time I am in Belfast.

Went here for breakfast with my sister and wasn’t impressed. I ordered a plain breakfasts bap and it came dressed, that was fine I ate it but they had put a sweet type of sauce on it which I had to scrap off and put me off the whole thing. My sisters coffee came 10 minutes after our food which we had already waited 10 minutes for which we weren’t overly impressed that it came after and the scone was very dry. Wouldn’t go back.

Well worth the walk from the Titanic exhibition. Lovely staff and really scrummy food. If we’re back in town again we’d definitely revisit.

If you want bland soup and sandwich don't come here. This eatery should be embraced for the fact the chef indulges and experiments to offer variety and excitement. Never been disappointed on my visits and the guys should be commended for their creativity

We were over at Belfast on holiday and found this restaurant on a web search. We're so glad we found it. It's about 15 outside of the city centre but worth the travel. The food was amazing, and the portion sizes were big. I can eat...but I couldn't eat all of this. Frienldy and helpful staff. Made our last night here a one to remember. Thank you.
