Pyke 'N' Pommes in Derry

Their flavors are off the charts! Excellent food and such a good variety. Would 200% recommend it . Great atmosphere. We had a wonderful time and it was super family friendly.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. There’s a great atmosphere and most importantly the food is amazing. They went above and beyond for your spaghetti bolognese obsessed toddler and we have never been so impressed with a restaurant. 5 stars, 100%, so so pleased. We will definitely be back!!

Popular restaurant in the city centre. Parking up the side streets near it. Nice industrial style instead, with steel fittings, open brick work and cobbled floor. Menu of burgers, tacos, steaks, fish, sides. We had a mix of burgers and tacos. Staff happy to amend from the stated menu items. Very good quality food, and nicely presented, Waiting staff very helpful. Also ordered desserts. My advice - get the chocolate brownie, a winner on quality and size.

Stumbled across this wee gem with a friend on an evening out in Derry and couldn't recommend enough. I had the tacos and my friend had the halloumi burger. The food was absolutely beautiful, the interior was so cool, the tunes were banging and the staff were the friendliest bunch I've come across yet. Ten out of ten- can't wait to come back!

Went there before and enjoyed it. Food and service was great. Booked a table for 7pm today only to find it was closed when I arrived. When I phoned they said they had contacted everyone to tell them it was closed. They hadn’t. The worst thing was having to go to the sh1t40l3 across the road. Trinity.

Lovely setting, I had three tacos, a crispy squid, a fish and a birria beef tacos and all were outstanding the crispy squid one would probably be my favorite, but when I go again I will definitely have the same three again. YOU GOT TO TRY THESE TACOS 🐐🌮

Nice venue near the city centre. Food was very good with some vegan options. Portions weren’t massive so would recommend getting a few tacos and a side but food was yummy. Staff very friendly.

It’s hard to beat the quality of food at Pyke n Pommes the tacos especially the brisket are top notch. The service was excellent we were literally in and out in 40 mins and that includes ordering our takeout tacos for the teenagers. If you want a tasty meal this is your place.

Shocking service. Called to book a table. Was told to book online. Rudely! I tried to ask if we could just walk in as we were passing and I was told to book online again so rudely and then hung up on! Not sure how the owner would feel about a party of 5 food and drinks being turned away 10 mins after opening as when we drove past the place was dead. Honestly so upset by this I won’t be visiting again. This was one of our regular places with the family. Avoid.

Booked a table online. When entered took at least 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us...(apart from the bar ban making eye contact and ignoring us 3 times)it was not busy , only a few tables taken. Took a long time for someone to come serve us and again for the drinks to arrive at our table. Place felt grubby. Such a shame as the food is nice.

Not a great experience. We had a table booked for 7.30, it wasn't ready so we were asked to wait in the bar area. The few tables in the bar were sticky and full of dirty glasses. We had about 4 different servers through the meal and had to ask numerous times for service. There was a DJ playing at one end of the restaurant, the music was really loud and made conversation difficult, when we asked if it could be turned down we were told no. Food was ok, tapas were just about warm, friends had burgers and said they were nice. Won't be rushing back.

This is the first negative comment that I’ve ever left online but unfortunately tonight was shocking. My son and his partner were visiting Derry and I recommended Pyke n Pommes because I’ve heard great things. 5 of us ordered, the food took 40 minutes and one person didn’t get their meal until the rest of us were finished. The lady dealing with our table said “it was on the docket, the chef just missed it”. Didn’t bother apologising. There was a gentleman with grey hair and a young lad who were both lovely and very apologetic. They offered the late meal and a round of drinks complementary. Unfortunately, when we went to pay for the bill, the lady ‘taking care’ of our table overcharged us. Didn’t bother arguing, just wanted out of there. You could tell they were understaffed, and a credit to the staff members who were trying their best to make everyone happy. Unfortunately, we got dealt with one who wasn’t.

absolutely disgraceful waited nearly two hours for food and the food wasn’t even that nice deffo not worth the near two hours wait!!!

12 of us went for a family birthday meal on a Sunday evening. We had a variety of dishes from a menu with lots of choice. Food was fabulous, very friendly staff with great service, lovely atmosphere. Will be back again and so can recommend to others. Recommend booking in advance as it's a very popular restaurant.

We recently went for lunch, it was very quiet, less than 5 tables occupied and I counted 6 staff. Everything was very slow after the drinks were brought, when we had finished we waited for quite a while before having to call a member of staff. Up to this point staff walked passed us several times. It was not busy so I’m not sure the reason for this. The food was fine nothing out of the ordinary, I don’t mind paying for good food but given that the food was just ok and due to the poor service I doubt I will be back.

Great vibe, super friendly staff, great grub. Cod taco was yummy with a spicy bite. The steak was off the charts: tender, juicy and full of flavour with perfect crispy fries. Everyone was really happy with their food. Many thanks to a top kitchen. Can’t wait to go back and do it all again.

I was looking forward to visiting pyke n pommes but was left a bit disappointed! I went for the strand road burger which was decent but definitely wasn’t worth the £19, and the other half had the pork shoulder which came as a wrap, and to be honest was tasteless! I rarely leave reviews but felt so disappointed with this visit
