Tasty Reel in Derry

Brilliant food at very reasonable prices. The staff are excellent and very friendly. There is a great menu with a wide selection of food and also a carvery at lunchtime. We had the cooked breakfast, which was very nice. They also do Sunday dinners to either eat in or takeaway. I've tried them and they are excellent and great value. The Tasty Reel is in a cracking location near the reservoirs. Will definitely return and highly recommend!!! Edit: Have been back to the Tasty Reel a few times. We were in tonight and had the cod, chips, and mushy peas, and the special, which was honey battered chicken with stir-fried noodles and salt & chilli chips. It was all amazing and at such a reasonable price. Brilliant service and the stout was lovely.

We ordered from the tasty reel this evening for our family of five spending £45. After waiting over an hour for our delivery it was cold and uneatable and our drinks were missing. No one in our house were able to finish their meal as it made them feel unwell!! I will never order from here again!

I order from justeat often enough to prefer tastyreel but the main problem is that I can't modify my orders, so I end up getting things I didn't want like salads or lettuce on a burger,

Spent over £30 on food , wee ordered spicy chicken pasta with no onions, it wasn’t spicy an there was about 3 peppers an a lot of onions,my husband got the chicken fillet burger an the batter was as soggy an fell of the chicken.i did send a message an they offered me a voucher, I kindly said no thanks, then I got a message saying that I would be refunded…………still waiting won’t be have a take away from here again

This is one of the best, especially in its location for the local community and lots of others wanting a day out for a meal or book for a fution. I have always enjoyed the friendly staff and service with an amazing atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to others, especially tourists, who might not be aware of all the facilities within this establishment. Sunday dinner is amazing and staff are always very nice even though its so busy. Great venue for small groups to eat, perfect for confirmations.

The food was gorgeous 👌red fish was huge and the xmas fries are amazing. the staff were so friendly too. Deffo be back again

Never again, got from here for the first and last time the other week and it was only people asking me about it today reminded me that I didn't do the review, I've had better frozen pizzas and after over an hour wait for food to arrive, it was cold, tasteless and had some kind of bug burnt on one of the pizza slices, grim, AVOID

Turkey and ham dinner was horrible, chewy and inedibale! mash was the only nice part. Waste of near £14 never again

I have had sunday lunch takeaway twice..the food is tasty only complaint is the pea potion is not serverved with meal unless four or five peas are a portion..lovely food..

Matthew and Bronagh are just the perfect team, he heads up kitchen, she front of house. Nothing is too much bother and they really go out of their way to accommodate your every request. With Matthew at the helm food is perfection, great menu and fab service. Well priced and a hidden gem locally run.
