The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Mexican food

We popped in to get a quick family lunch and were really happy that we did. Pass the Thyme is a clean and tidy eaterie. Modern furniture and a nice bar at the end appeal to all. There was a steady stream of customers, mainly locals by the sound of it which is always a good sign. Some tables had also been reserved for lunch that Saturday afternoon. The lunch menu was modern, accessible and focused on some staples such as pizzas, burgers, fries and salads. Between us we had a chicken Caesar, loaded nachos and smashed burgers. My 10yo wolfed down his burger and declared it “the best burger ever”. All dishes arrived promptly, were tasty, really well prepared and generous in their portions. And well priced too, ideal for a quick family lunch. Service was in keeping being efficient, clear and friendly. Very happy to recommend Pass the Thyme for lunch if you are in Campbeltown.

Lovely lunch...jerk chicken rice .... bbq chicken rice.... very good portion tasty meal.... great coleslaw.... perfectly cooked halloumi.... the staff is great helpful....very good experience

Mi pareja y yo visitamos el shambles para tener un almuerzo al aire libre. Hay una gran variedad de food trucks para cada cocina en todo el mercado. Toda la comida se ve muy tentador, así que fuimos consentidos para la elección. La opción de burrito que elegí aquí fue muy agradable producido rápidamente con un montón de extras opcionales. El pollo estaba tierno y todo a un precio razonable también. Mi compañero tenía el camión griego, que era agradable también.

I ordered the pulled pork burrito and nachos and they were delicious! Very filling and such lovely service for a good price. Local Mexican food is hard to come by especially at such good quality and supporting a local small business which is even better, couldn’t recommend enough! 😊

What a gem of a place. We had a take away and the food was so delicious. A lovely owner, and we cannot recommend enough. We will definitely come and sit in and try the cocktails next time

First time at La Parrilla atmosphere warm and friendly. Staff fantastic very professional and helpful, food outstanding. Would recommend friends and family to visit

Another amazing visit yesterday, you know this place is good when you do an hour and a bit round trip on your day off just to visit! I had beef taco and nachos and my partner had a burrito all the food was delicious and full of flavour! Please don’t ever close we love you Cartel Cantina!

i got the chicken tacos and they were so bland and far too much cheese which was flavourless and congealed and the birria taco dip they gave is watery and bland. very disappoined as i was expecting a lot from the reviews 🙁🙁

The best original traditional Middle East food in Glasgow…

The restaurant has a really nice relaxed vibe. The drinks area is nice and spacious with a choice of high stools or relaxed tub chairs. The staff are friendly and informative and the food is gorgeous and reasonably priced. First time visiting but will not be the last. Think this place will be a little gem once more people are aware of it.

Absolutely stunning food called in for a sit down meal whilst visiting my daughter, burrito’s were gorgeous hubby had half chicken on skillet, great food and service lovely little gem reasonably priced too 5*****
