Burnt Savannah in Cannock Chase

Our first visit and we had a great night. Food was tasty and hot - really good!

Had a takeaway via Cannock Eats. Really enjoyed visits to Savannah but felt very disappointed tonight. Delivered on time. Chicken curry lovely but rice and peas luke warm. Mac and Cheese nice but pork balls inedible. They were rock hard. Dumplings and cocktails lovely. Will stick to dining in

The seating arrangements were awful, huge cushions behind you on one side and high stools on the other side. They had ran out of red wine, so had a cocktail instead. Not a sign of any alcohol in it. Food came, we were told not to order too many main courses because they were big. Nope they were tiny. I had a pulled pork bap. Instead of the pork being soft and juicy, it was rock hard, I had to take it off the tiny roll so that I could eat the rest. A vegan meal was ordered it was at first forgotten and then came out with an apology of they had run out of vegan cheese so used normal instead🤷‍♀️ a change of vegan meal was brought out which was so tiny. Two dessert spoons of slaw was over £3. Oh and they forgot to give us knives, forks and napkins, we had to ask for them. It was a really disappointing birthday meal for me. We will not be going back 😡

Good service, good prices, decent food. Waitress was happy to adapt a dish to veggie requirements too which was great. A good range of cocktails available however we didn’t partake as driving!

Food was really good. The kitchen closes at 9 though and we weren't warned of this so when we came to order desserts we were unable to. Our table was booked for 8 and we had to wait a little while.for it to be ready. The dessert menu looked lovely too, so this marred the evening a little. Overall though, I would recommend based on the quality of the food we had.

Amazing place with a fantastic atmosphere, go to eat as a cohort with friends. This gets very busy on a weekend and service can be a little slower than usual but it’s still worth going. Staff are very helpful.

What a hidden gem! Stumbled across this place via trip advisor and was not disappointed. Delicious food, fantastic cocktail menu and a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive. The cost is very reasonable. Already looking forward to our next visit here!

Great little place! We visited on Taco Tuesday by chance so there was a slightly reduced menu from the main menu but even so, great options which were very tasty! George greeted and seated us and was friendly and attentive to our dietary preferences. The place was clean and the decor was well done creating a relaxed atmosphere. "Chilled out and stylish with accents of the Carribbean". Nice chilled tunes as well. We ordered tacos to share (3 per plate): 2x Buffalo Soy Tacos, 1x crispy cauliflower Taco And, due to George advising us that the Plantain was not quite ripe enough to serve really, he suggested the jackfruit 'popsicles' (my name not theirs!). We also had a portion of fries. And I requested a pot of the scotch bonnet chilli jam which was delicious! It didn't take too long for the food to arrive and it was all delicious! My partner particularly liked the Buffalo Soy ones. I thought they were all as good as each other! The coriander onion mix on the cauliflower ones was really good! I have a big appetite and could have easily eaten more but I think the portion sizes were probably just right. Haven't had the sticky toffee pudding we took away yet so can't comment on that yet. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Parking was really good as well - Backcrofts Car Park is literally just outside the door!

My Husband and I were looking for somewhere a little different to go out for my birthday and he came across this little gem by accident, food was lovely service was very good staff were pleasant and informative,Prices reasonable and cocktails were amazing and music I really liked nice atmosphere and I can recommend this place for couples or night out with the girls, tapas really tasty shame that there was only one choice of desert nothing else was available though, I would have like to try one maybe next time.

treated my son, saw reviews so gave it a try and what a little gem! on arrival the building outside was fantastic,walked in and the music was spot on! the staff were very friendly and explained everything on the menu, the food was plentiful and very fresh and hot, couldn't fault it! wasn't keen on the cocktails but that was my taste nothing wrong. have recommended to everyone! keep up the great work!

Absolutely amazing, taco Tuesday is a winner, all the food was hot, fresh and tasty. Cocktails are all to die for, so imaginative and fresh. Staff are just amazing, I can’t sing their praises enough, just an amazing night out, great for all events, date nights, birthdays, anniversaries etc, they are all so helpful and friendly, you could visit on your own and be made to feel very welcome. Support local and pay them a visit, hardworking guys who literally make you feel like you’ve known them years. Thank you for another amazing night.

Always looking for new and exciting places to eat and this is definitely one of the places The drinks were lovlely and the food was fabulous, and the service was very good. If I had one complaint it would be the time taken from ordering the food to when it got served One hour is a very long time, even if the food is freshly prepared, but everything considered I am prepared to let it go because the food was amazing. I hope not to have to wait as long next tine.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Our favourites were the jerk chicken, pork tacos, dumplings and slaw. I'd definitely eat here again. The staff were friendly and attentive too. Music was good.

Came across this place upon a recommendation from another restaurant. From our first telephone call to leaving we received first class customer service! Me and my partner started our evening out here, booking our table was easy and straight forward the food and cocktails were absolutely gorgeous, brilliant atmosphere and setting just a brilliant vibe, foods beautiful and so tasty ! What a hidden gem! The service, food & atmosphere were all great. We had a mixture is small plates including various tacos, croquettes, plantain, chilli, fries, cauliflower bites and dumplings. They were all absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning.

This is my second time dining at Burnt Savannah. Lovely cosy restaurant with welcoming staff and delicious food. My friend who l was with commented on how flavour sum every dish was, in particular the Jack fruit wings. Definitely worth a visit.

Taco Tuesdays is a must. Plenty of choice for both meat and veggies, and each one is awesome. Plantain with Scotch Bonnet! The cocktail menu is great too, with staff picks to mix it up. Can’t recommend this place enough, excellent value.

We ate here Saturday and it was fantastic. Tapas type food was fresh and tasty and the Red Stripe tasted incredible, clearly stored well, clean pipes etc. Staff are super cool, friendly, helpful. Good value for money too...would highly recommend a visit

Food is lovely and very reasonably priced. The satff were friendly and attentive. However, on the Saturday evening we visited, the place turned in to a rave complete with whistles! I would advise management to inform people when booking if these events are planned as it completely ruins the vibe and you can't talk to people. Some soft Reggae music would have been much better and in line with the food and cocktail offering. The food and drinks are great without that type of event and we'd definitely return for those but not for the music.
