The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in England

My partner and I dined here for lunch and we will absolutely be returning in the near future. The free garlic bread and drink with our lunch was a nice touch. Hands down the nicest pizza, so fresh! The young lady who waited on us was so pleasant and helpful. This place is a great find.

I met a friend for lunch at this terrific bistro. The owners, Olesea and Sergio, originally from Moldova but now living in Godalming, are wonderfully caring hosts. We had excellent homemade Pelmeni filled with a mixture of pork and beef, although vegetarian options were available. Super service and fun and bubbly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Happened upon Lulu’s when leaving the Osteopath over the road. The chalked sign of ‘Salt Beef’ dragged me in. I spent five minutes in the aisles, deciding which pickled gherkins and which peppers to buy - when I was treated to an informal education on which were the best Gherkins and why (brine salted - tastes like they do in the states :), traditionally they were salted to be transported) … which after the taste test challenge- I had to take them and change my mind from what I originally selected (vinegar pickled) ! Some hot peppers too, because supermarket Jalepenos don’t really kick ! These peppers will be going on everything. And I left with a hot salt beef bagel - which was superb. Promised to return this weekend with the family, as I know they’ll love it as much as I did.

Forty5 is hidden away in the outskirts of Cheltenham but by far the best restaurant I have eaten in. The food was perfection, cooked by the very talented Gareth who came to talk us through his menu. The restaurant is in peaceful surroundings, and was lovely and quiet, for those of us who like to chat while we eat. Cocktails in the bar beforehand were also delightful. Highly recommended!

This is a must do if you’re in the area. Everything about the evening was perfection. From the warm welcome from Jules who made you feel at home the moment you stepped through the door, through to the beautiful styling of the barn. But the show stopper, of course, was the food. Home cooked and delicious. Hearty and healthy. Dish after dish was a hit with all dietaries carefully considered and catered for. I am lucky to be able to eat out a lot - but nothing comes close. Jules and steve have created something very special. Run, don’t walk.

Nos comunicamos con Fresko para organizar un desayuno pop-up en nuestra oficina. La experiencia fue perfecta! Atendieron a 60 personas y tuvimos una gran retroalimentación. El yogur y los ingredientes fueron una gran selección y nuestro personal absolutamente le encantó. ¡Recomendaría encarecidamente!

Al principio fui al restaurante solo para tomar un café, pero después de probar algo de comida quise ir a cenar. La comida era increíble, todo era fresco y cocina muy bien, los precios son buenos y las raciones son muy buenas. El personal es muy agradable y el servicio es excelente en general. Además, la vista es genial, es del parque común de Clapham. Gran lugar para la familia, amigos o incluso solo. Perfecto para fiestas también, el interior se ve bien y tienen un área exterior. + hey tiene algunos postres tradicionales increíbles.

I attend this place with a friend, every few months and have a coffee and something to eat. I have tried my own breakfast choices, curry and rice or jacket potato, chilli with rice or a jacket potato, sausage and onion sandwich, cakes and cold baguettes. The staff are very friendly, helpful and do whatever they can for you, with a smile. I will see you all on Thursday, when i come for coffee with my friend?

very good food good atmosphere has a dart board now in the bar area and friendly staff members dog friendly drinks are nice

We have been for cocktails after film matinees at the nearby Ritz cinema. The longest cocktail menu I have ever seen and many are unknown to us but equally delicious. Have eaten dinner once and that was good as there are choices to suit everyone. Staff are also lovely. We will continue to go.

Absolutely delicious will be back again, I had a vegetarian breakfast and it was amazing. I highly recommend the food and a visit!

Great food, great portions, decent price. Always look forward to the van coming round. And get the biscott cheesecake before the run out!!!
