this Restaurant is amazing lovely complimentary dips/starters and flat breads I had the MIX SHISH Cubes of chicken & cubes of lamb cooked over charcoal, with grilled tomatoes & green peppers and a portion of chips The service throughout was brilliant and the food was enjoyable We'll definitely be back

Bit of a tricky review this one. As it was our first time here we were served some lovely complimentary dips/starters and flat breads. I found all of the dips delicious and the breads really tasty. The main courses arrived with a complimentary portion of chips. Really thoughtful and very welcomed. My wife's dish was definitely not to her taste as the content was quite cheesy even though it didn't contain cheese but I enjoyed my mixed kebab. The promised bread didn't arrive as the place started to get really busy but no real hardship. The service throughout was brilliant and the food was enjoyable I just found the meat content of my kebab to be scant and so quite expensive for what little there was. We'll definitely be back maybe when it's a bit quieter and will choose our meals a little better next time.

We went for a family dinner and can highly recommend this place. The hospitality of the staff is excellent, very attentive to children and their needs. Portions are big and prices very reasonable. I would recommend the Ayran drink. It’s a water, yogurt, slightly salty cool drink which is very refreshing.

Great little Turkish restaurant in Hanley. Lovely food and friendly staff making you feel really welcome. For starters we had spicy Turkish sausage and deep fried feta rolls both very nice. For mains Lamb shish with rice, salad and bread. Will be going back to try some more dishes off the menu. Highly recommend

It’s a small and intimate restaurant with an open kitchen. Made most welcome. A good selection and even Turkish wines available. Very nice mixed hot starter and mixed meat main course served with salad and rice. Overall a very enjoyable evening. Would we return again ?. Most certainly

We visited here after a day out with our son. We have been to a few Turkish restaurants but not with our son so it was his first time. The staff are amazing, friendly and helpful, made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. But best of all the food was gorgeous and reasonably priced as well as the drinks. Definitely worth a visit just a short walk from the nearby Premier Inn.

Very good traditional Turkish/Kurdish restaurant. I’ve travelled to Diyarbakir, Antalya and this restaurant has one of the best cold meze’s I’ve eaten in the U.K. The meat is all cooked on the traditional bbq coals and have that lovely flavour you only get from a Turkish grill. This restaurant is very family friendly. Very warm and clean. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Thank you we will Def be back

I went to restaurant at 5 pm Sunday 2/6/2019. They claim that restaurant is open from 11am to 11pm, see pictures. However at 5 pm it was dark and closed. Very disappointing.

Absolutely fantastic evening ! Great Turkish food taking us all back to previous holidays and getting us all ready for our up coming one ! Fantastics Turkish wine and a lovely few bottles of EFES. All topped with a Turkish coffee. What more could you want ! 100% would urge people to go and I can't wait to return.

12 of us went tonight for a celebration. Food was delicious, everything freshly made and so tasty! The service was excellent very friendly and great with the children too. Highly recommend this little gem of a place.

My partner and i came here after being recommended by a friend. The food was excellent! Fresh and very good quality. It tasted delicious and we had good portion sizes. Great restaurant if you like to eat healthy and clean too! Lots of interesting choices on the menu! My patner and i have been wanting a great Turkish in Stoke and we have finally got one! The owner was friendly, attentive and you could tell he was really passionate about his food and building up his business. We will definitely become regulars here and i wish the resturant every success!!

First time eating here for my sons birthday. 12 of us which did not phase them at all. Staff were welcoming and polite. Service excellent. We had starters and mains and everyone agreed how delicious the food was. Can recommend the fresh warm bread and humous also the meatballs starters. I can highly recommend Efes and shall return again and soon. You will not be disappointed!

Been meaning to try this place for a while as I've seen a few posts on social media. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the manager with a really warm welcome. He helped us with the menu. The food was lovely. We had starters and main course and I just wish we had room for dessert but we were too full. I can't find any faults with this place. Food, service and atmosphere were great. It's a little gem and while in there, you feel a million miles away from Hanley. It felt like we were on holiday! Will definitely return and can highly recommend.

Went here last night with my wife. Food was superb. Went for the mixed kebab platter which came with rice and salad. Beautiful. Variety of drinks including Turkish beers and wine. The service was also fantastic. Recommended

Visited Efes last night with my wife and our friends, everyone loved their meals and commented how fresh and tasty it was. Very attentive host at last an authentic Turkish restaurant locally. Will definitely be back soon!

Where do I start. From the moment we entered we felt like we’d been here before. The service was A1. The food was excellent and couldn’t be faulted. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend you give it a go. Miss it, miss out!

Large portions, hot, authentic. Pleasant surroundings and very pleasant owner, nothing too much trouble. Not had dessert yet as too full, but the baklava and ice cream looked lovely with again a good portion.

Came here for the first time after the place was recommended by a friend! What can I say, we received a very warm welcome from the start, great service, polite staff, they helped with the menu and our terrible pronunciations of the food the food itself was absolutely amazing, the last time I tasted Turkish food this good was when I visited Istanbul a few years ago! We loved the place! And there was efes beer will be returning with friends

I came here with my partner for a Valentine’s meal. The staff were attentive and polite and we felt comfortable. We ordered a sharing mixed platter and a side of Chips which was definitely a big enough portion for us both. The food is all cooked fresh and you can see them cooking your meat on the charcoal grill. The prices are very good for the food which you get in return. They have free WiFi! They gave us both a free shot and myself a free rose (as it was valentines) which was a great touch to the end of the night. Overall I had a really lovely meal and evening here and will definitely be returning for my birthday meal. Thank you to all the staff at Efes! See you again soon!

Been tonight for a birthday meal, beautiful restaurant with top class service. The food was lovely, freshly made and well presented. A proper taste of Turkey in Stoke on Trent! Prices are reasonable for the quality you get, 4 adults in our party, all had different starters and main courses, Efes lager and one had a dessert, all for under £90. We can't wait to return, Thank you for a great evening.

I came here with my wife and 2 children. From the outset the atmosphere was warm, comfortable and relaxed. The food was delicious and we were treated to some authentic, classic dishes.

A group of 13 went to Efes on a weekday evening. We had booked a table for 10 but the manager quickly sorted an extra table so we could all sit in a group. We were initially the only people in there and the manager was very attentive and helpful, he answered any questions about the menu and quickly took the order.

I can’t rate this restaraunt enough the food is absolutely beautiful and always fresh and the staff are so polite and can’t do enough for you i would recommend this place to everyone it’s an absolute gem! Service and food 5 star!

Came tonight for a midweek meal with my friend. Service was excellent. Food was freshly cooked, great quality not like in the food chain restaurants, extremely tasty and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning!

For way too long Stoke has gone without a Turkish restaurant and so when I spotted this little place on my way up to Hanley one day I knew I needed to give it a try.

We went to Efes Turkish Restaurant for a birthday celebration meal. We received a warm welcome & the service was great. Food selection was beautifully served & tasted delicious. Also a good selection of children’s meals.

What a great find ...wonderful hot & cold Meze as starter & have so far tried the Chicken Sizzler & Mixed Shish . Great hosts , another fabulous night .

Visited Efes last night before the theatre, received a lovely welcome by the host. Very attentive and friendly service. The food was delicious, the meatballs starter was amazing, as were the prawns. The meat (lamb) was cooked to perfection for the main and the mixed seafood sizzler casserole very tasty. We were given a few extras to try throughout the meal which was a nice touch. Will most definitely be returning soon. Just what Hanley needed, good food at last!
