The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in Leeds Yorkshire and The Humber

Have walked past The Great Cyrus many times as it’s in my neighbourhood, thought we’d try it as a January treat. The service and food were excellent; great hummus and amazing king prawn kebab, also delicious Turkish coffee. Good wine list. If you like Darvish on Roundhay Road, you’ll love this!

La comida tradicional griega era sabrosa y bien presentada y el dueño era servicial y complaciente. Arriba hay una habitación limpia y cómoda que ha sido abierto para cenar. El menú ofrecía una buena selección y la comida superó nuestras expectativas el servicio era amable y no tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para la comida. Sin duda volveré y serán interesados a probar el menú de desayuno que está en camino.

Lovely Middle Eastern Mediterranean restaurant. Home made bread and gorgeously seasoned meat! The chicken is organic and everything is home made! Gorgeous mint and green tea offered after our meal also. I would definitely recommend the visit .

Excellent food, fabulous staff, will definitely go back. Best chorizo we have ever had, melts in your mouth! All four of us agreed this was the best tapas we have had in England!

Came for lunch here and had the Seafood Paella and Churros for dessert. Service was lovely, and the seafood was great quality! Will definitely come again next time we visit Leeds

The food at this place is the best Turkish I’ve ever had, I’m ashamed to say this was my first visit to Mardini, but it certainly won’t be the last. The chef was so accommodating when my son in law asked for something wasn’t on the menu, the waitresses were so friendly & polite, I can’t recommend this place high enough, & can’t wait to go back.

The Agora is a little gem, the food is fantastic, the service is great and all the staff are super friendly. I would absolutely recommend. We went on probably the busiest night of the year Valentine’s Day and although busy didn’t feel rushed.

Visited and we had a great experience from stay to finish. The service was amazing throughout. Friendly, prompt and very welcoming. Food was all food and very good portions. The service was very friendly. Very patient despite a few small changes to change. Really enjoyed it and applause for the evening.

This place is a lovely family run restaurant and the food was the most delicious Moroccan cuisine in Leeds along with great service

We ate dinner here, and I got the chicken gyro with the whipped feta as a starter and a pastry as a desert. It was so good! I loved it. Totally recommendz

Fantastic food and family run company, always a warm welcome awaits

This is our 2nd visit to Ambiente this year. As always, the food and service were excellent. We tried to work out which of the 6 tapas we chose won the standout dish of the day award , but concluded that they all shared first place. The super light focaccia and balsamic dip was the perfect way to start our lunch. Patatas bravas were crispy and tasty with just the right amount of aioli and bravas sauce. The carrots and hummus are taken to another level. The fish croquettes were divine. The albondigas are full of herby flavour with a delicious sauce. The beef short rib was so very tender and full of flavour. We will be back!

The food is absolutely fantastic here, the staff are lovely and such a serene atmosphere. As an iranian myself, the food me and my friends ordered, especially the lamb kebab was amazing, so much flavour and very juicy and fulfilling, worth 100% of the price!

A mate of mine who lives in Leeds recommended this place... OMFG... recommendation of the century! Had a pitta with falafel, hummus, extra aubergine and pickles. Everything top drawer!! Shame it’s so messy or I’d be taking some back on the train home for the family
